Haha, thanks for watching Colin. Hope I could one day try the train. The segment was actually included in my ticket as I was just transiting in London for New York, so no complaint!
A very well presented, and more than fair, review. As a Brit (but living in Asia) I have to apologise for some of the failings experienced by my national flag-carrying airline, but am glad you politely enjoyed the experience overall...but those seats! Really? Looking forward to the next review...🙂
Thanks Ian for your kind words... Haha, don't apologise, I have to say the British hospitality onboard made me feel welcome, and I definitely have enjoyed the flight :) The seats, not good, but that's the european standard from what i know, so...
Hi Gunvald, haha, I think 2-2 is a low bar set for them... They should learn from Asian airlines like SQ and consider making the regional seat product as good as the long haul product... Anyways, I know that's sort of day dreaming. Thanks for watching! :)
I can’t believe that they would call those seats business class. Considering it’s the same seats as economy 😮 How much was the price difference? At least the food and service is good 👍🏻
Hey Karl, thanks for leaving me a comment again and I hope you enjoyed the vid... Yes, to my surprise, the food and service were better than what I had expected, and that was why I decided to make this vid to praise BA's effort!
BA Business (Club Europe) - priority check-in/boarding, lounge access, food/drinks on board, extra Tier Points. FAs are always excellent from my experience. The big let down is the seat - yes the middle seat is blocked out (which is handy for drinks etc.) but the seat is the same size/pitch as the economy seats (except exit row seats).
Royal Jordanian? I've used them between LHR and Amman. There are half a dozen reasons to choose RJ over BA on that route - with flight schedules being at the top of the list.
I fly Club Europe (Economy With a Tray table in the centre) regularly on the Canary Island routes. The service is good , but the seat concept still amazes me its sold under the Club Name. I rate the lounge, boarding , baggage allowance and of course the Tier Points towards my Gold renewal. But you cannot get away from the fact that it is a regular seat with a table in the centre seat.
Hey, what an interesting account name, haha! Thanks for watching! While I am with Cathay's loyalty programme, I joined the BA Gold group on FB and I heard about the mileage run plans of other Gold members by flying short haul Club Europe. I'm just wondering if you can actually become a GGL just by flying these Club Europe legs? I would say the seat is ok as long as you don't have a neighbour. But when we compare it to Asian carriers, it is definitely lagging behind...
Seats are NOT the same as economy though they look similar.. seats behind the over wing exits are different with reduced seat pitch... if you are an economy passenger sat in the convertible rows (in front of the emergency exits) then you get the slightly better seating and pitch... this allows NA to alter the size of the business class cabin very easily...
Oh really Richard, thanks for letting me know - I didn't know that the seat pitches are different! And with your insights, I would definitely choose a seat towards the front of the cabin if I'm travelling in Euro Traveller next time... Thanks for watching!
Nice video, Ken. My experience has been similar to yours in Club Europe. The hard product is pretty terrible but the service and food are good. I am surprised that BA doesn't have their own lounge at CDG given the volume of passengers that pass through there.
Hi Michael, thanks for watching! The service really surprised me in a pleasant way, especially on such a short flight. The Exteme Lounge in CDG was quite good honestly, better than many 3rd party lounges.
Most fly on intra-european business when they have a connecting flight in long haul business. The seats are sadly the norm in europe, which is a shame, but on the airlines that offer a good soft product it can be forgiven. Still, unless I flew really frequently I wouldn't pay to fly intra-european business class. A great representation of the flight, and the review was very pleasant to watch.
Not bad for short haul Business Class. From my experience, Most European airlines have a similar set up to this on their short haul flights but the food here seemed better than most I’ve used. The only airline that has offered me a genuine Business class seat was Swiss on a flight from LHR to ZRH.
Hi Cameron, thanks for watching! Yes, I know that this is the norm in business class, which is disappointing. Interesting to know that you had a genuine Business class from LHR to ZRH on Swiss. May I know if it was just because you luckily got a flight that was operated by a long haul aircraft?
I always try to avoid British Airway, Virgin Atlantic is the choice to me. I can tell you this. Royal Jordanian business is real business...plus their "Royal" lunch set on flight was one of the better one
I've never tried Virgin Atlantic... In fact, I didn't have much chance to fly on SkyTeam because of the loyalty programmes I joined... Hope I can try that one day. And cool to learn that RJ is good! Thanks for watching, and thanks for leaving me a comment again, Louis! :)
As an 🇺🇸 I'm very happy we have airlines like Delta who has the One's Suite at least attempting to make it better. Then when I see Middle Eastern & Asian Airlines Business & 1st I get embarrassed 😳
@@MarcoPoloClubFlyer you’re welcome you’re very handsome :)! Looking forward to more of your videos. I was surprised you enjoyed the British Airways European Business Class. It looked like a great product.
I have been in BA business only once so far and I was discriminated against by the cabin crew, which resulted to full refund BA the company 6 months later, it was the worst flight of all especially me and my partner we’re coming back from the funeral of my partner father we’re the crew told me that we deserved all including the reason for our travel. Now over a year I will fly again with club Europe and hopefully the crew will not be racist this time, but to be honest my anxiety is kicking.
Paris to London? Take the train. It’s much better…..any class.

But the name is Marco Polo FLYER!!!!
Good food service for a one-hour flight.
Indeed! And thanks for subscribing to my channel :)
What device do you use to film ur flight trip?
Thanks for watching. I use my GoPro and a Nikon camera for the shots :)

Unfortunately that passport control is fairly typical for many Schengen airports.
Looking nice. Tha you for sharing.
Thanks! Glad that you enjoyed it :)

Good report. I quite like Club Europe. The worst aspect? Shocking seat-pitch.
