Sportster Chopper: Start Up!

  • A few final precious steps before starting up the evo Sportster chopper for the first time in over a year. A couple oil lines needed to be routed, primary chain adjusted, fluid added to the bike, and some electronicals plugged in before it was ready for a smoky start up.
After the smoked cleared I was able to think clearly again and dialed the carb settings in for a smooth idle. Air/fuel mixture screw was reset and adjusted, throttle cable slacked out, and idle screw set. After these simple steps the motor started to sound great.
    Thanks for watching!

Sick build, and I enjoy your outside build area. May I suggest adding a oil pressure gauge. Usually having that low of an idle doesn't make good oil pressure. Don't want to blow up that beauty!

Thank you for the kind words! I'll definitely look into oil gauges for this thing, I've heard they run pretty high pressure for Harley's. Thanks again!!
