I rescued a beautiful girl who had been locked in a cage for the first year of her life with children poking her through the bars. I had the honor of being her person for 12 years before she passed. It was a long process getting her to trust people, but so worth the effort

You can tell that the little Daschund dog was really taking to Rocky. Following him, kissing him, just making sure he was alright. It's so sweet to see how dogs really care about each other. I'll never get over watching that. So wholesome and sweet.

Friday a female husky showed up on our doorsteps. She immediately became attached to my 12 year old nephew. It's been 5 days and it looks like our rescue pittie now has a sister 😆
*We've called around, posted on social media, etc - No one has come to claim her, it looks like she may have been used for puppies then dumped.

When Rocky came up to you after being scared of Matilda trying to play, that was a crucial step for Rocky’s trust in you! He was scared but looked to you for comfort. Good job!
I couldn’t stop crying to hear how badly he was treated. That person who abused should be jailed and ban him from having another animal. Rocky is in great hands and he has a dad who will love him forever.
I know this is about the Rocky redemption story but I still cannot get over how amazingly sweet Matilida is. Must be the happiest dog ever.

I have been rescuing for 60+ years. Last month l rescued a 1&1/2 year old chihuahua/terrier. Her fur was very ruff, bald in some areas and skinny. She was very scared.In the month l have had her ,she as gain some weight. Her fur is softer and growing back. She is now playing with my cat and other dog. She is not so clingy and she is not barking (she barked at people because she was scared)as much at people who come over. It amazes me how love can change animal that are rescued. Keep up your good work. I wish more people would willing to help rescue. I have done rescuing and taking care of animal out of my own pocket. Be a Vet Tech l can do a lot of the care myself. Again Thank you for the rescuing you do.😊😊😊
To me, this is one of the saddest, yet sweetest rescues you have done...that I have seen. He is such a beautiful dog, and so strong mentally. You can tell he wants to live and he still has life in his eyes!!! I'm so thankful you rescued him and gave him a chance, It had to be you!! When I saw him come over you off the lead on only his second pack walk I knew he would be more than ok. Dogs are so resilient and forgiving. To be honest we don’t deserve their unconditional love.

I adopted a dog many years ago who was in comparable condition. She was a year old and she'd spent her whole life chained to a post year round in someone's backyard without access to foor and water. She'd been abused and was terrified of EVERYTHING. With love, patience, and socialization she became a happy, beautiful girl who was so sweet and full of life. If you ever consider adopting you, please understand that you are meeting them in a stressful environment and they likely have trauma that can heal with love and time. It's amazing how much they can transform if you give them a chance.

I agree. The person who did this needs to be put in a kennel for the same length of time, Rocky was in a kennel & let him fend for himself. So his stupid butt knows how it feels. I almost couldn’t watch this video, because it’s hard for me to fathom the cruelty that some animals endure. Sometimes I think my soul is too fragile for this cruel world. I kept watching because I want to support Lee and The Asher house, and by the end I was laughing, watching Matilda try and play with Rocky. Then to see Rocky eating out of the yogurt container….well, I have a huge smile on my face now!! Can’t wait to watch Rocky’s progression! Thank you Lee, for being an angel on earth!!

And to me you stopped being a victim the second you choose to lash out and abuse someone yourself. Then you are just another abuser who didn’t even try to resist their darker urges. The most beautiful thing I saw here is the progression of Rocky’s tail going from tucked tightly underneath him to up a little higher and even beginning to wag as his time with Lee & the pack at the Asher House went on. This is a dog that is learning what life is supposed to be about, realizing that his rough start isn’t all there is to it. He’s one lucky boy now ♥️🐾

When videos like this show gentle animals that were so abused it makes your heart break, I try to remind myself of the joy they will get to experience in such caring hands. Dogs live in the present and his wounds will heal. Only wish for his health to recover fully so he can enjoy the beautiful space and family that he now has. Watching this video has made me experience every emotion that a human can. I went from extreme rage knowing that humans can torture another living creature in this manner!! Then I felt relief that Asher House saved him and finally I felt joy that this good boy has found a safe & loving home!! In the beginning his eyes showed no emotion at all. Like he didn’t even know what life was. I’m sure he was super confused about everything and didn’t know how to act for awhile.
He is so timid and afraid of everything! This poor baby what he must have been through,God love him! I have the faith now that he has been rescued and taken to the Asher house the other dogs ,Lee will bring this pup around real quick! Lee certainly has a gift with dogs! I audibly gasped and started getting teary eyed when I saw how skinny he was. My dog was so concerned he came over to comfort me.
