So, I decided to take this for a spin in Master Duel (albeit against the CPU only so far), mashing it together with a your prior-shown Superheavy Super Quant deck. It *really* narrows the options for what you can run if you're going with the SQ, Armored Xyz, and Superheavies... but here's some things I figured out while giving it a spin: 1) If you happen to open Terrortop and make Torpedo, it's can be a decent mulligan to try to grab a piece of your other engines. If you can grab Wakaushi or Motorbike if you failed to open one of those at the start, it's a godsend. Not the most consistent thing, but it did happen once or twice. 2) Once or twice while trying to remove Grampulse's materials via popping my own spell/trap, I found a few uses for it: For one, if I had one Wakaushi as material for Aeroboros, the second in the Pendulum zone, and the third in hand, I could pop the one in the Pendulum zone so I could place that in the face-up Extra and free up space for the one in my hand next turn, in case I could open up an EMZ for it. In another scenario, I used Grampulse to pop a Soulpiercer equipped to Regulus. Granted, the same effect could have been accomplished with using Zealantis, but it was still a way to get material detached. 3) Speaking of Zealantis, I found that's a good way to free up the material on Fortress in case you got unlucky and ended up with the Full-Armored Xyz in your hand and thus had Fortress's search effect offline. 4) I also only noticed this in the last duel, and it was pretty much over for my opponent anyway with their field open, but something I'd realized: Full-Armored Xyz's 1st effect to Xyz Summon immediately can be used during the Battle Phase if you went first and had it still on the field during your turn. That means that not only can you rank up the Fortress into Lancer mid-battle phase to get an extra attack in, but... 4a) ...if you have Lancer on the field with Fortress as material, you can use Full-Armored Xyz to make Lancer into Zeus in the battle phase, so if you *really* need its removal for one reason or another, that is also an option. In any case, this deck has been really fun to play around with - I do wonder how it'll fare in actual online play, but getting a feel for this mishmash deck has been fun! Really glad I discovered this channel and learned how much fun Super Quants could be, I had them before I discovered your channel but learning just how versatile the deck can be has been a blast.
Great vid Just a note: a lot of the examples of Lancer targets don't work suuper well because if you attempted to respond to IP, Unchained Soul, or Purrelyly, you'd activate the trap first and then lancer's steal effect triggers on a new chain. Usually the result of those summons would be good targets as well, but still important to note. Particularly in the unchained example, they'd be able to link off lancer before it could activate its effect

I have a question. How does this work as a SQ engine? I can see why adding the Full-Armored XYZ trap to any of the SQ deck builds would be great. Having it as discard fodder that then turns one of the mechs into an a much better Mangaslayer, is a great idea, but I'm not understanding how this works as an engine. I'm probably overthinking and being kind of a clod. I'm always looking to improve my deck (IRL and in Master Duel) so any help would be great, since I'm feeling pretty dumb that I'm not seeing how to fit this package into my deck.

The main thing is, it's an engine that puts a free Rank 3 on the board, which allows you to either make Grampulse (in-engine) or Armored Xyz plays (which is more of a BOOST to the Super Quant engine), but the biggest thing it does is give the deck a much-needed way to bait ash or imperm. Because if your opponent doesn't stop Top's effect, you may put up Gossip Shadow or Totem bird as a negate. Plus it doesn't cost your normal. It looks like your avoiding running the armor xyz spell card because its a brick. Although that may be true, its fantastic at closing out games, would prevent you from having to pop your own field spell to rank up and search(xyz 5 needs no mats), and can be great to search to use as discard fodder( also note that the armored xyz spell card can be added back using the rank 7 for more discard fodder). Last thing thats less relevant is that if you happen to have already gone into magnus, u can loop him with the spell card because magnus isnt once per turn allowing for some crazy link spam. Would def recommend trying the armored xyz spell out One thing ive been testing is promethean princess in superquant. One diviner gives you access to promethean, summon redlayer to give you an add of a superquant of choice(mostly for guarenteed field spell search)

Here is the problem I see: In order for you to search BOTH the spell and the trap and still have access to Lancer, you need to make Fortress over Grampulse with 1 material... In practice, if you ONLY had Alphan, that means only 33% of the time. And if you already had the field spell AND Alphan, then you could probably make Magnus, though making Lancer and Magnus, you'd end up with only 5 mats which is less than ideal. On many occasions, you will be making either Torpedo into Fortress to search 1 Armored Xyz card, or Grampulse with 2 materials... and then you'll be back to needing to pop a spell/trap just to search the 2 Armored Xyz cards! And if you have to pick 1, the trap is better in nearly every possible scenario. You're right that the spell can serve as discard fodder using Lancer's effect, but so can the trap, before you activate it's banished effect. (A fact I omitted in this video, though I'll go over it in my next video) So overall, is it worth a spot in the deck? Maybe! But I think the Trap on its own is plenty good enough. As for Princess, that is a cool tech that I've definitely seen used in replays over in the SQ Discord. There's a good few builds and combos that use it. I haven't found any way for Princess into Red Layer to guarantee a field spell, unless you mean Foolish Burial Goods to drop the Field first, or somehow get to Princess before Normal and add back Blue to normal Blue? It's not as great as I would like... Though I have heard it is also great for OTK after sitting on Magnus for a turn.
@PlusNfinite it's def reasonable not running armor xyz spell, it def sucks going first but is solid going 2nd for closing games. As for promethean, I meant that 1 diviner gets you access to three mats which can get you into promethean with a red layer in grave. You can opt to not shuffle the blue layer and add it back to your hand off the promethean summoning red. It gets you into Interruption, follow up and guarenteed add field spell the following turn( from adding blue) Obviously if we can go into magnus or superqaunt xyz instead we do that, but promethean is more for when you dont have field spell.
You're so right 😭 I do make it look as though Fortress' equip effect is active. That's a mistake on my part. I didn't mean to be misleading! Though, there is a way to get Fortress in the grave, so you could potentially equip it to Lancer. You overlay Full Armored Crystalzero Lancer over Fortress, detach for its effect, then overlay Lancer over Crystalzero. Thanks for watching! 💜
Wonderful guide to the engine in the deck, I'll be throwing this people's way whenever they ask about the engine ! I want to add another cool trick that you can do - You can equip Xyz Armor Torpedo to Magnus and it's effect doesn't actually affect Magnus at all, but it still protects him from being targeted ( The Other effect, however will not apply so be careful in the Battle Phase!) this can be set-up on turn 1 to allow your Magnus to beat Xyz Encore ! It's relatively Niche for sure, but there's something so silly about a Magnus that also can't be targeted
