His humbleness on a couple Easy Goer rides show his character-- so many people Loved Easy Goer, and were upset when he lost - the Preakness & BCup especially-- but it proves what a tough job it is...

I was at the inaugural running of the Breeders Cup in 1984. My friends and I has a horse running in Northern California who was sired by a son of Icecapade, the sire of Wild Again. Zamboni was our colts sire, a son of Icecapade. That first classic was one of the most exciting races I’ve ever witnessed. Unfortunately I didn’t have a dime on Wild Again and 37 years later I’m still kicking myself!
