I think it's really cool of Steve to give these two brothers a memory when all they wanted to do was "try" to see the berrics They ended up being put in multiple videos, meet legends, skate the park, ref a game of skate in the series, etc Just super cool
@@kasshhhh1122 I doubt he needed more than 1 try for any of those tricks , if you can't do cab flips or any of the variations consistently you have no business at batb, the double cab flip isn't common bit it's not insanely hard to were you couldn't have them consistent.
This guy not only has the talent for being a pro, but personality and mentality as well. Calm, realized, has his own sense of humour. Interesting energy about him. Kinda fits the image to see he has kids too.

I know that this is Mike's personal style of skating but seeing him trying Tyler's tricks made me think: If he would give these tricks a few more goes he would have landed at least one of them.
He stopped flipping his board after really bad injury (i think might be the ankle I have forgotten now) around 2009 I believe, even olling flat was hard for him to do so he just dialed back more of the 80s style he pioneered when he first went pro at 16 in 88. Some fun Mike V facts: he was the first Tampa Pro winner in 95, had the first pro double kick deck (the Barnyard) and someone point this out but if I'm not wrong did the first switch fs180 ollie on film in the mini ramp section of Speed Freaks. Anyone who's interested in Mike V should go check out the Speed Freaks Part!
I remember taping Tony Hawks Gigantic Skatepark Tour onto VHS and Mike V would jump off the highest thing he could find at every stop he knows how to entertain the crowd and I always loved his individual approach to skating

The juxtaposition of two different styles was fun to watch. I love modern skateboarding and how technical it has become. I also love Mike Vs tricks and style. I got to see him skate at a black label demo back in the 90s. I'll never forget that.

Mike V broke the ankle on his front foot and since then he can’t roll it sideways so he says he can’t even Ollie high now. So I imagine he’d have trouble getting good with flip tricks, but really no need, he’s got a style all his own and not a lot of skaters have that.

In all honesty, I and my crew in Poland can't even think about a single 50-year-old Polish guy who would be fit and healthy and strong enough to do some jumping, let alone shred around the Berrics.
