Feels all has come full circle with the return of Severance as you hit that 20K milestone! Huge congrats; well earned, Nautilus! Looking forward to see your channel grow from here. Production value just gets better and better. Keep up the great work, and Thank you!
I think Juliette’s part of the story is supposed to feel agonizingly slow. She is dealing with big time consuming tasks: overcoming the infection in her arm after passing out, that’s at least half a day right there. Searching the apartments of the IT employees one at a time until she finds the helmet. The dives she’s done, going back down to prevent the bends, that’s several hours right there. She has ten thousand lives to save and Solo is occasionally helpful, sometimes entertaining, often needs to be coached to handle his emotions, and also creates massive hurdles to overcome that just slows her down. Meanwhile, silo 18 is rocketing toward self destruction. The mechanical folks have reasonable questions, but they don’t know how dangerous their situation really is. Opening the silo door will kill many, if not all of the people in the silo. And there’s something else that Bernard is worried about. Bernard is in way over his head and I don’t think he even knows why they are in the silo. But he definitely knows more than the others. I think the show is showing this really well: silo 18 is speeding toward destruction without anyone realizing what they doing or the potential consequences, Juliette knows everyone she’s ever known could die at any moment, but she’s one person who keeps running into massive projects that have to be done first. We’ve learned the game is rigged. I think that means there is no way for the people in the silos to leave alive - not now and not in the future. There is something external to the silo, we know this because of the external power lines. And then the silo 17 folks survived until the dust came. I think the dust is toxic and someone outside of the silos saw that they had exited their silo and sent the dust to kill them all. So there is someone or something watching the silo people to make sure they don’t escape. Why? Probably because doing this to so many people is super unethical and a wider group of people would object to holding generations of people in silos unnecessarily. Why keep a bunch of people in silos? Are they testing to see how people would behave during a long space trip to a new planet? Or maybe what to do if humanity really needs to move into silos. Maybe they gave each silo a different set of rules and / or history and see what happens. It’s more efficient than running 50 multi-hundred year experiments sequentially. Or is this all that remains of a country and the victors forced them underground so they could have the entire above ground area? There’s so many possibilities. I like the tension between the pace of the silo 17 versus silo 18. I think both silos will contribute to the big season finale. Hopefully silo 18 survives the finale, but who knows. I think this is just the third or fourth day after Juliette’s cleaning, Lukas appeals to the judge (day 1), is brought back up by Bernard a day or two later (day 2 or 3). Now Lukas is cleaned up, so probably had to sleep and that would be a natural time to shower and change clothes (day 3 or 4).
Just stfu, all 8 episodes easily could’ve been 4-6 episodes, and even then they’re full of plot holes, like Walker’s easy capitulation of her character and Juliette’s super human strengths just to name a few
I thought the woman Jules beat was Trina to start with, but I'm guessing at least one of them could be the real Solo & Trina's grown-up kids. They'd have a personal beef with the imposter Solo if the two fresher bodies outside the vault are their parents. The three could also be behind the blackboard code breaking attempts and the writing behind the server doors.
would like to hear you add a liiiiiiittle bit more to these youtube vids, I enjoyed it but it felt more like a summary of the episode than anything.. Still great content, I love your narration. Keep up the great work.
I really hope they don't kill off Solo (I've read all the books, but not gonna give it away) ~ Steve Zahn is perfect casting, I can't really imagine anyone else in the role. I also can't believe the actress who plays Martha is the same one who plays the mother in Succession ~ wow, what a difference. She's excellent in both series. Anyway...love those dulcet tones, great job as always 💙😽
What kind of trauma have these kids been through when personal/tribal preservation trumps curiosity? If they kill Juliette they’ll never know who she is, where she came from, how she got to silo 17 etc…. I would have questions!!! Or do they already know about the other silos? Maybe they came from somewhere beyond the silos?
I just want to point out that when Bernard said "You'll get to be together" I took the implication of that statement to be quite sinister. I took it to mean "You're gonna be sitting in this room drugged up but you'll be with her".
Finale theory: Simms overthrows Bernard, possibly by using the rebellion in Mechanical. All the lines about Bernard having 'no allies' seem to be pointing that way
Would have to heavily disagree on the rating of the episode. It felt like I have watched the same episode 3 times in a row now. Juliette vaguely in danger in the silo 17, clearly not about to die because she’s the main character. Tensions building and rising in 18, people being controlled, sharing secrets and working together. Moles! Have not enjoyed this season much at all compared to S1 but I do agree that it’s mostly just the way it had to be done for things to line up. Would have just been better off seeing NO Juliette and only doing 18 and just having Juliette surviving being a full mystery whenever she returns to the Silo, and they could easily retroactively show/tell us what she endured to survive. Either that or they needed more episodes because it’s very clear they’re doing to end up mashing shit together really fast here or not progressing much at all in an entire season, neither of which is very good.
Great video but I thought this was a really bad episode. Juliette plot is way too slow and we are getting drip fed tiny snippets which is really off putting when you're trying to get in to the story. Way too much on the down deep rebels. Martha, Shirley and Knox are hard to get too excited about. If we aren't getting Silo 17 stuff much prefer Bernard and Lucas storyline
10:44 It probably doesn't matter for anything, but just in case: The "Blue Ridge" something-or-other blah blah has a weird shaped US flag graphic. That graphic is shaped like the US State of Georgia.
Purusing the comments, I didn't catch anyone mentioning the 3 "teens", but if they did, cudos. What I mean is, where did they come from? How many years has it been since that Silo was destroyed? I mean, did they raise themseleves from children, "Lord of the Flies" style? Or, are they also from another Silo as well? Hmmm.
I thought this episode was mediocre. Walker’s behaviour was particularly irritating and you could tell early on that Shirley would be right regarding Bernard’s trap.
The only RUclips video to reference Radiohead's The Bends! I can't hear 'the bends' without thinking of one of my favorite albums of all time! Bravo!
Yes! I immediately went there when Solo said that!
What a great album!

9:51 Oh he means it. He said that “they will be reunited.” My prediction is that he means he’ll lock them up together, rather than releasing her.
That’s the vibe I got. Either they’re both gonna be killed or locked up together.
100% getting sent out to clean together
Bernard: “I am altering the deal.”

I got served a Severance season two ad during this vid! Relevant RUclips ad is relevant!
The sheriff's wife will definitely ask to go out.
Thus mirroring the Holston/Allison story, so they would hopefully put a spin on it...
This added so much tension to what’s happening in both silos… I just know when it all comes to a climax, it’s going to be wild

Heym, Ann! Walk is great. I'm familiar with her from a few other shows. She's a fantastic actor with a lot of range. Big fan of Zahn too.
Oh yeah. She’s so different in both shows!

Finally confirmation on the water!
They kept dangling it out there, but I think we can say it's legit!
9:52 "...let them both be together" sounds ominous as heck to me
He will let them be together in death, my prediction.
I just want to point out that when Bernard said "You'll get to be together" I took the implication of that statement to be quite sinister. I took it to mean "You're gonna be sitting in this room drugged up but you'll be with her".

Bernard's promise that they will be together was ominous. 90% he means to kill them both.

Was that the Nautilus at the beginning? Or some meme I don't know about? His first appearance?!?!? Wow.

Blue Ridge Mountains is in Georgia. I don’t think it means much
@@LovethisNation You're probably right. But, y'know, we'll see what happens. :)
The book Billings took was a Georgia tourist book if I remember that episode correctly
@@markkuykendall5475hmm ok…I see what you’re thinking. Maybe they are in Georgia after all…
These videos are less and less analysis and theories and more just a episode review... no hate but its boring compared to your past content.
Zzzzzz

Its that time again,boys!!!
Lapiz, is that YOU?! 😮
Wait... are you saying what I think you're saying!?
They're really dragging the juliette thing smh
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
its hard for me to stay focused on these videos because of your voice. more specifically, my jealousy of
I thought this episode was mediocre. Walker’s behaviour was particularly irritating and you could tell early on that Shirley would be right regarding Bernard’s trap.
Your analysis is actually better then the episode 😢
Sow and boring Silo season 2 has gone nowhere.
