The Body Keeps The Score is one of the best books about trauma. I'm so so glad you're reading it and talking about it on your channel. Hopefully it encourages others to pick it up as well. Another really amazing book about trauma is My Grandmother's Hands. It is about intergenerational trauma and provides a lot of somatic exercises, which as you'll learn is the way to get trauma out.
I think I just got far more excited to see Effie's name in the video title! She's now the true star of your vlogs... I'm here for it & her journey has captured my heart. 🥰🐶

Just a heads up, make sure the rooms where you use incense are well ventilated if Effie is also around. Incense smoke can be harmful to pets. I really miss using it, but after I got a dog I chose to give it up.

Awww sweet little Effie. I wish I could take all of her nerves and anxiety away from her! I know she's still adjusting from the chaotic life she had before, but I wonder if maybe some mild anxiety medication would help her transition into her new, calmer life? Or even just CBD treats or something like that. Maybe something to mention to the vet? Although you are so on top of things with her I'm sure you have some kind of plan in place with her vet already. I'm just coming at this from of the perspective of someone with bad anxiety, and when I was at my worst OH BOY did I need someone to talk me into taking medication. lol
