Wow, that bit at the end going through your ship collection totally exposed how Bungie has changed the system to 'encourage' people to spend real money on ships.
This needs addressed at some point to restore good will. Recommendation smart loot for Eververse engrams.

Currently at about 45k dust. The first thing I look at in eververse after a reset is the shaders. Anything else I'm only buying if I think I would actually equip it.

I have over 100,000 only because I like to hoard and only get stuff I really want.
I've only been playing since Guardian Games last year, but I only spend dust on shaders and ornaments if I like them. My philosophy on emotes is: I already have 4 that I like and are almost always equipped. Every once in a while I'll see a transmat that I like and grab it, but I'd never spend it on a ship or emote.
On a side note: until they make paid ornaments cover exotics, I refuse to buy them. What's the point of whipping out my Commander Sheppard cosplay if I have to fuck it up with Wormgods or Synthoceps?

I'm trying to up my fashion game this season and I've watched some videos with some cool looks and I totally agree, a shader can make or break your appearance or "drip" (as the kids say these days). I would even say, a good shader can improve your look so much, it can override an ugly armor set and make it look amazing.
I'm very selective about eververse stuff but there's a Jade Rabbit ornament I've wanted for literally years but don't want to spend silver. Awesome video!❤

Some weapon ornaments are so impactful in your gameplay that they may be called pay to win, Crimson is an exemple
I would love to see more content like this: breaking down micro-transaction systems and showing how they are built to take your money in as many ways as possible. I don't play D2 anymore, but I see people falling for the same sort of marketing tricks in other games all the time. Cosmetics can be fun, but you should really think about how much value you are getting for the price.
Superb video. I tell my friends these exact same points all the time. Just seems like common sense to me. How much are you really going to see/use some of this stuff? The answer is usually barely except for ornaments.
The emotes/sparrows/ships are a miss for me, only buy the shaders, and genuinely any ornaments I like that’s better then the base. Like this weeks warlocks gloves.
I view silver as abit of a cash grab. Some stuff is only about weekly for the dust. Also I think they design naff looking exotics on purpose like half the warlock stuff. I get the idea of theming locks to use game designs. Like a helm of something powerful would look like that. Yet then the same helms ornaments way better…Bungie plz man 😂

Something a bit different for us too watch. Sitting on about 34,000 and haven't collected this season's yet. Iam only spending mine on the same as yourself, arbalest is great example for showing the vast improvements on the sights with ornaments. My most used exotic armor because iam vain. Still trying to catch up with your vids, takes me a wile some time with rewinds. An hour vid becomes 2 hour's easy. Very greatful for the guides, just the best. Thanks for sharing... "👍"...
100K+ bright dust in the bank... I only spend them on weapon/armour ornaments, rare exotic ships or shaders & hope Eververse engrams drop me some juicy other exotics. Only seasonal armour if I like it & on the class it looks best on... When it comes to jump ships, like you, I prefer the ones I've earned in game; Whisper of the Worm mission or the Forges. .. But I always jump into Lost/Dawning ships or sparrows

they need to nerf enhancement cores drop rate or give us something to use them on. they wasting space in inventory so maybe increase each space to 5k instead of 1k.
I think the majority of people buy weapon ornaments anyway. I buy armor ornaments every now and then. I have to disagree with the fact that you dont see the armor you buy, well you dont buy it to see it for yourself.. you buy it to show off ofcourse. As for emotes, I only buy an emote when I think its absolutely funny to use. I dont see the reason for stockpiling bright dust up to 110K . The purpose for earning bright dust is to spend it as well. I get why you make this video, I think above all, to help starting players. Thanks for this video anyway mate👍
I only spend bright dust on Weapon ornaments (weapons that I use) and Limited Seasonal Event armors for fashion
Why... why save that much. The only items that affect game play is a few weapon ornaments that can add a few points of stats to the weapon. Pretty sure everyone knows this.
EDIT: If you are spending bright dust for purely cosmetic reasons you are wasting the dust. I do emphatically agree agree with Chablo on the busy/less busy appearance on the wedapon ornaments.

Thank you for the video. Have you changed your colour settings the last several videos are saturated out. The colour makes it difficult to watch.
When I play Different games on PS5 it messes with HDR settings. So yeah there is something a drift I will check out today. Cheers
@@Chablo91it really does bug out on PS5. Did Pit and turned brightness up in Harrow. About a minute later the PS5 turned my brightness down. Didn't happen with PS4.

for me i only buy exotics weapons/armor ornaments, i've been playing this game since it came out and i never spent money to buy silver
I bought a few extra emotes... but one necessary weapon ornament I bought was the Saint-14 ornament for Vigilance Wing. Makes such a better sight picture.
Overall though, bright dust and silver are things I don't throw out there lightly. Shaders and a few ornaments are fine yeah. I loved the ornament for Dragon's Breath - which came with the season rewards. The OG DB was meh to me. I've see enough shark's teeth painted on everything from rocket launchers to airplanes (Chennault's P-40s come to mind).
Sitting at 22k+ bright dust now. I don't think I've ever hit 100k!
And I have toooooo many ghosts. I only need what I can carry. The rest I can delete. If I really want one later I can get it from collections.
Ships - Other than Queen of Hearts (always on my Hunter), I look for ships that have trails of ionization behind them, in different colors. I like the Radiant Accipiter, the Hawkmoon mission ship, and Waking Nightmare from Eric Morn - must have been season 10.

Same here. I fought like hell to get the gun, did the cat, and that was it more or less.
The answer is you probably don't need to then less it will collect dust in the vault. However be careful 4th horsman can be META defining with its burst damage

Repeatable bounties (Gun Smith) doesn’t give Bright Dust , and checking with (Riven) that doesn’t either . But the 10 Bright Dust you mentioned I think is from Eva when she’s here because I like to farm from her , but no 10 Dust in game as much as I can see 🤷♂️
The repeatable bounties that give 10 bright dust are the ones from Zavala, The Drifter, and Shaxx

@stuarttaylor333 if you turn in 8 bounties in a week (daily or repeatable) to Zavala, Drifter, or Shaxx, , you get 120 Bright dust from that vendor.
Each repeatable bounty from those vendors also gives you 10 BD. Only these 3 vendor's repeatable bounties, plus Eva's repeatable bounties, give 10BD.

You'll earn 50 Bright Dust for a set of repeatable bounties from Eris. We farm Moon bounties since they're the easiest to complete out of any destination. One Lost Sector clear is enough to finish at least a few of them, usually every bounty

Once you're done with that, you'll need to farm repeatable bounties for more Bright Dust. This farm is quite tedious, but here's how it works:
Buy five repeatable bounties from Banshee.
Travel to the Moon.
Buy five repeatable bounties from Eris Morn.
Farm Moon Lost Sectors until Eris' bounties are finished.
Turn them in. Buy new bounties.
Repeat.

they should make it easier to get the rewards for triumphs ive played since day 1 with breaks but i got soo many of those i just forget to "collect" lol i have about 20-30k dust and never used silver but i get nice looks stuff and ships... emotes are a waste.
