STRATEGIES & TIPS TO GRADUATE AS HIGH SCHOOL VALEDICTORIAN
Welcome Everyone!
Today I will be talking about how I became valedictorian of my high school. I am no genius, and wasn’t even the smartest student in my senior class. Despite that, I was able to play the game of high school very efficiently and ended up with a 4.0 GPA (4.5 weighted), which ended being the highest of my senior class. I believe that almost ANYONE can become valedictorian of their high school given enough work and knowledge of what strategies to implement. That is what I will be talking about in this video, as some of my tips to get A’s in your classes may shock you. THERE ARE SECRETS teachers and other students don’t want you to know about, so make sure to watch until the very end of this video. I almost guarantee you will think of school much more as a game that you can play to your advantage if you do.
I took 13 AP classes during my years in high school, and was assigned thousands of hours of homework. Through that experience I was able to find the best methods to go about managing your time in high school, how to be productive, and how to get the best grade while doing the least amount of work possible.
If you are interested in taking AP classes (the best way to boost your GPA), make sure to check out the tier list I created in my separate video. Some AP classes are much harder than others:

Did you find any useful tips from this video?
Yes! Great pointers about the importance of utilizing your time to meet your goals and sticking to what’s necessary to get there! 🙌
Very much useful! I’m not a student anymore but my valedictorian friend once told me “it’s about study habits” and now you said it’s being in the game. I didn’t know these before. My dad especially didn’t support my studies anyway even though he was a valedictorian himself. I wish I was a nerd. Still a good trait to have for me. Thank you for sharing these truths.
yes!
yesssssss
I have a question. Why does the strategy include having to get an A? In my district, I’m pretty sure you just have to pass to get the credit. For example, I had like a final grade of 98 on apwh and still only got 1 state credit for it just like any other core class..
I completely slacked off freshman and sophomore year and I'm finally ready to hold myself accountable and do this. This info was so good, THANKYOU for being so real. New subscriber!
Happy to hear that you found value! Good luck next year. You’re going to crush it 💪
9:35 So, I agree that busywork can be skipped if you understand the concepts. But I still believe that you should take a class to learn, not to get an A. In the end, there's more to life. Don't make yourself miserable and just study what you want, school was established for learning things, not for dumping time into.
Im going into freshman year at a competitive 6A school and I really want to earn at least top ten!! im glad I found ur channel, a lot of great insight on hs , thanks !
Holy, this is the most accurate representation I've seen. My school takes PRE AP the same grade points as typical AP classes so definitely on the right track and going to junior year I plan on taking 4 APs. Wanna try getting 8 or 9 in total by the time I leave. The quizizz part is the most accurate part, I feel I already follow most of what you say and glad to see I wasnt alone on that part about thinking about myself instead of others, like in chem, most of my class is failing anyways so if I get a B I know I'm ahead.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO! THIS WILL HELP MY SON IN HIGH SCHOOL
this is so realistic and actual good advice!
I feel enlightened
In freshman year i forgot about valedictorian but now that my senior friends graduated it got me thinking and like im going onto sophomore year and now i really wanna be valedictorian just cause 💯
Wow, this was very real. I wonder did you work a job during high school. I feel that will greatly decrease my time and mentality.
yooo congratulations! I'm starting 8th grade and I really really REALLY wanna earn the Valedictorian of Middle School, so I was searching around videos for tips lol! My 7th grade year was absolutely amazing for me! Hopefully I can claim the title by the end of the year!
You can do it! Keep on that path
bro me too! Good luck
Don't live like a rapper first. No partying. Though being a valedic is starting to be overrated. Also sacrificing popularity.
@@W81Researcher This is so wrong. Highest grades in my class, everyone calls me the smart kid, and I party and am popular.
@@firebird4269 your also probably in one of the higher educated states. You won't have to party in college. Oh, are you black and acting white?
The way I slacked 9th grade but wanted to be Valedictorian but now for the rest of my years(I’m about to be a sophomore) I’m gonna try my best. But since I think the role is based on all four years, I’m gonna have to retake all my 9th grade classes but it will be worth it.
I'm a new subscriber! 💗
Welcome to the channel!
Damn idk if I'm gonna get valedictorian as I never really took ap classes until this year which is my last year, still hoping though.
You should do a video on your stats and extracurriculars
this actually worked
junior year and i'm 4th right now. trying to boost the gpa to be 1st by 2nd sem senior year!!
What is your gpa? I got a 4.1 and I’m like #164
@@localmilfchaser6938 what school you in wtf
I’m in 2nd yr but I’m tied with like 10 people for first since we all have 4.0
I’m 6th in the going into sophomore year, taking 3 aps and 3 honors next year, I took 2 AP and 3 honors this year. I plan to take 11 more by the end of HS as well. Is valedictorian still possible when #1 right now has all 100s and took the same classes I dis
so i am currently number 2 in my class (i'm a sophomore) and i am currently taking 3 ap classes and 1 pre-ap. i know the guy ahead of me had the same schedule as me last year (1 ap and 1 pre-ap) but this year he is taking 3 ap classes and 2 pre-ap classes. he is also planning on taking 5 or 6 ap classes next year too but i'm only taking 4 due to needed credits. what would you recommend me doing? because i've had the valedictorian goal since middle school. my school also doesn't offer a variety of ap classes and i am balancing a 4 year academy (which is an elective) on top of it
How to take AP classes online? Can you mention some website where to take online AP courses for credit? Thank you!
I would talk to your school counselor. That’s the route I took. They will provide you with a site that can send your grades/data to the school
Does your school take into account the numeric grade you get (i.e. 96 in AP class would be .96*5 = 4.8 GPA)?
My school weighted an A- and an A+ as the same
Do dual enrollment instead of ap guys. It’s easier and you’re guaranteed that college credit
I have a question if you start taking AP classes junior and senior year then can you still have a chance to become valid Victorian in high school?
Depends on your school and your competition… may be a large challenge but not impossible
Mtn view elementary school? In latrobe
If I'm not take any honor or ap in freshmen. Do I have a chance to become valedictorian?
Yes likely it’s still possible. I was only in 1 my first year
do you think it's too risky to be taking AP psych, AP art history, and AP modern world in sophomore year? is it possible to get 5s on all of these at the same time too...
It’s better to do it before Junior year in summer(if you want) as online if your school allows it.
i wish my school offered ap art history! i really want to take it
Here because ddg
Can you get valedictorian with a B in freshman year
Possibly... it depends on your classmates and if you can take enough weighted classes to balance it out
I’m not trying to be mean but at my school you would have no chance at being anywhere near top 10 in Rank just showing how competitive it is
Are these nerdy smart people in the comments or try hards wanting a trophy?
Can only speak for myself…I just want people to know that college can be affordable if you put effort into high school and strive for all A’s
