It's attention to detail like this that gives customers confidence in you.
It's always useful to see what someone else uses. Useful for any car. Thanks Matt.
I love the way you go the extra mile to make avehicle thebest it can be.
A supporting comment for your algorithm. I appreciate your time to make this content.
Thanks :-)
Helpful video Matt. Anybody wishing to buy a car from you should have great confidence.
The rusty drums always catch my eye and it's a shame that such a small thing spoils the overall look of a good car. What you have done is definitely time well spent in my view!!
Ours looks smart after you did ours. A simple job but looks fab.
Lovely job, it really does lift the look of the whole car 👍🏻 We did something similar using Jenolite Rust Converter and brushed on Hammerite Metal Paint
Nice job. Keep meaning to get round to do my 2017 ZE40 which has light rust on the rear hubs. Hammerite Direct to Rust will also simplify the job. Also, Kurust is a decent rust converter.
Thanks for sharing, useful video!
Thanks Matt. I did mine on a 2018 Zoe with hammerite silver which seems to be even easier to do. In addition I bought some grey plastic wheel nut covers which tidied up further for little cost.
Decent job from a decent dealer. Nice. Engagement :)
Good job.
Many thanks Matt. Love your ZOE videos.
Another Excellent informative Video 👍
Thanks.
Great video, thanks! This issue is bugging me on the 2018 ZOE.
Hey! I want to see how to charge the brake fluid on a Renault Zoe. Thanks! Too good Videos. Tommy
Awesome thanks 😊 Can you upload a video where you show the Zoe with Rear Brake Disks ( Maintenance job ) Thank you very much 👍
My Megane ones are just starting to rust, this could be handy!
I painted them black with special paint, they will last for ever ;-)
Properly cleaning the wheel mounting face and giving it a light coat of paint will stop it rusting further and give a much better mount than leaving all the crusties there…
What a good job, makes such an improvement.
Matt, here's a question: when are you going to get yourself a nice little tripod so you can show this kind of thing using two hands? 😁😄👐 Sorry couldn't resist a tease, loved the video as ever. 👍
I love these low cost maintenance videos my only criticism is everything you do is off a lift.
Why not start with a basic trolley jack?
We are all told how much damage can be done jacking up an EV or is that just main dealers pulling the old don't do any work yourself stunt?
Jacking and torque settings are the basics that get forgotten. 👍
Lifting a Zoe on a lift is the same as a trolley jack. All cars have jacking points and EVs are no different to anything else. You'd have to be pretty stupid to think you could jack it up off the battery pack. You're right about the messaging - its a load of rubbish. ICE cars don't get a warning of "don't jack up this car using the exhaust pipe".
@@GoGreenAutos it doesn't help as it's not included in the manual and without a spare wheel it does scare people.
I don't think it's a daft video to make just changing a wheel especially as Tesla encourage you to rotate your tyres but with no spare that's far from easy.
I'd much rather take my own wheels off and have a loose fitting as some garages love their air lines too much and things get over tightened and damaged.
Keep up the comprehensive maintenance videos as it can only help in the switch to EVs. 👍
@@au18ert Good idea. I'll make some "taking wheels of this EV" videos.
Hi, can you make a video on bleeding the coolant. At my Renault garage they told me that the coolant is recommended to be changed every 6 years.
Nice videos :).
Thanks.
I don't have the correct procedure for this yet, so can't make a video yet. I wouldn't to get the bleeding wrong as air in the system could cause overheating in the motor, inverter etc.
Cracking job, why do Renault use those horrible hollow wheel nuts that go rusty, spoils the great drums & alloys
Good job. Pity Renault use metal that goes rusty
My Clio has the same problem... Is there a way to sort this without taking the wheel off?
No. But it doesn't actually need sorting. It only to make it look better. The surface rust does no harm.
Why not remove drum? Saves masking back area.
Yes of course you can do, but it may require slackening off the brake shoes which is a pain.
Is it possible to add a home made frunk to a 2020 kia soul without affecting insurance? I've seen German commercial frunks but they're quite expensive.
You wouldn't tell your insurance company if you put a plastic storage box in the boot. As long as you've not modified the car (which you wont), then its just a storage box/tray.
@@GoGreenAutos good point. Cheers.
Shame about those wheel nuts on that finished example. lol. ;)
Yes the Renault wheel bolts are often rusty too. I have painted them too before, but that doesn't last when the bolts are attacked with a socket.
@@GoGreenAutos I bet. Lol
