The mean ole scorpion (Scorpio) is the leader of the five constellations/months that can harm man.

In this case, it's mostly a fanfiction of much older creation myths.
Those writers would've never imagined that their story would become a best-seller for many centuries afterwards.
It is difficult to construct a story about a character that is not seen, not known, and beyond the storyteller's comprehension.

How could anyone read this logical, rational story and not believe it with zero evidence or proof to support it?
You must remember that when the church came to power, they went through great lengths to eliminate all other religions and cults. This was not a light matter, they literally went in every corner and killed every other person that did not accept their religion. Amongst these, many cults that used drugs like hallucinogenic mushrooms and had a ....different.... interpretation of god. So strong was the persecution, that to this day we have this tangible stigma against ''drugs'' (only if they are illegal of course, once they are legalized... no weight of the ''stigma'' anymore and you are free to use them without worrying about society). If you've ever wondered where the stigma attached to drugs comes from, this is one of the most probably origins.

Actually Jingles! if one were to read the KJV, what @@sashaabi says could be construed as being correct. Yet, the KJV leaves much of the translation/transliteration to imagination. Wereas the old Douay-Rheims Bible spells it out clearly, as it was translated from the latin translation/transliteration that the serpent said "No you will not die the death" (if one will allow for the letter swapping from old english to modern). This point aquits the snake from a lie, as he simply told her that she would not be physically killed, and she wasn't. Yet, my words are only as truthfull as my interpretation of these texts. Therefore, it seems only fitting that +Sasha S and +Jario Stereo could be again conisdered correct as well. Thus, the ultimate justification toward the subjectivity of the Abrahamic theologies.

Thanks again for making this, it made me pick up Genesis and read it from chapter 1 to about 6 I think, stopped after Noah gets off the Ark. Alice and wonder land is more believable. If anyone still has doubt, do your self a favor and read 10 minutes of Genesis. “Christians have the Bible read to them and Atheist have read it”

If there is, indeed, an Original Sin, it is "Passing the buck". Adam blames Eve, Eve blames the snake - and humans have been doing it ever since. The god of the Pentateuch was neither all-powerful nor all-knowing, no different than any of the other Canaanite deities. These were later attributions once the post-Exilic Jews took up the notion of an afterlife involving reward/punishment for acts committed in this life - requiring their primary deity be commandeered to serve as all-in-one witness/judge/executioner.

Adam and Eve is a parable that equates knowledge with sin. Think about the fist things early humans figured out. The knowledge of our earliest human ancestors was in all likelihood that sex made babies and that we all would eventually die. These 2 concepts are still being passed along to this very day. Genesis is a parable derived from our earliest ancestors. The knowledge we gained made us happy and sad....and so our quest for knowledge continues.
Ask any fundamentalist Christian if there was death before sin. The answer is no. The fossil record indicates otherwise but death didn't matter to our ancestors who didn't understand it. Our most primal instinct was and still is having sex. Too much sex put a strain on tribes so early humans devised genital mutilation rituals. With knowledge comes responsibility. Ignorance is indeed bliss. Sorry for ruining your bliss.

If there was no death before sin - how were Adam and Eve supposed to understand the warning that “you will die if you eat from that tree”. Die? What is “die”? Without any knowledge of death, the threat of it is pretty meaningless. You’d think a God would know that.

There are so many little things that are incongruous about this story. Obviously there are a lot of really big issues too but for whatever reason, the small things are bugging me. So like, Adam said "Since you come from me, a man, I'll call you wo man." Okay so woman means, from man. Then the snake talks to her and addresses her as "Woman". So like he's saying "Hey From Man. Come here and eat this." Then after that it says that Adam was there too. How long had he been there? So the whole time Adam is there while the snake is saying "Excuse me Mrs. From Man. What do you think is going to happen to you if you eat this? No, you're not going to die. Nah, God was telling stories again." and he's saying this while Adam is there? Why doesn't he just talk to both of them?
Then they see the light. For the first time they understand the greater implications of things; as they can understand good and evil, and the first thing they do is say "Aw shit. We're naked. Tits and ass are evil so we'd better cover up." That sounds more like what a theologian from 4 to 5 thousand years ago would say and not the first man and woman ever who never saw another human being in their lives. It's just stupid.
Yeah, and obviously snakes don't eat dust. But crawling on their bellies is an evolutionary advantage for them. Lizards have a tendency to lose their legs. Some lizards go pretty fast but in general, snakes can go faster, they fit in smaller places, some of them use their bodies to crush their prey. God rewarded the snake.
Also, as Darkmatter2525 so eloquently points out, if the snake really wanted to fuck things up, he'd tell them "Just don't eat this fruit whatever you do. All you have to do is fuck all day and all night and goof off when you're not fucking. So just don't eat the fruit." Then what would happen? No pain in childbirth? No one dies? Plus all the animals the same? How long would it be before the earth was so crowded everyone would be on top of one another? It would fuck up everything and then what would God do with no anger, no wars, no holy retribution or mass genocide. Then no savior, no blood atonement, no clever comebacks by Jesus when challenged by the Pharisees. It would be awfully boring. Let's face it, God wants all that shit to happen and needed a way to blame us. He loves the bloodshed.
So let's recap. At first, people looked like people but they didn't know good from evil and they hung around in a garden while naked. Then they ate from the tree of _knowledge_,... at which time they had to work in the fields and grow crops. Meanwhile the snake loses its limbs. Are you sure Christians don't believe in evolution? What does one call a human that doesn't know good from evil and lives in a garden, naked? Maybe a hominid? Okay, maybe that's a stretch for us doubters but I think that might be pretty good for Christians who want to believe in their religion but still accept science.

Intersting thought that Eve knew it may be bad to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil before eatint its fruit.
But god didn't lied when he told that they would die if they eat from that tree : before they were kinda immortal, but then, god punished them and made them mortals.

I've never read about Adam and Eve, I just heard enough as a young child over a few years to never believe in god in the first place. Had I heard the full story, as told in this video it would have taken less than 15 minutes. How some adults can believe that this is a literal account astounds me.

It says in the Bible that they had many sons and daughters. Adam lived to be 930 years old. That is a lot of time for baby-making. The other named son of Adam and Eve is Seth, whose lineage went all the way down to Noah. Cain's wife was one of the daughter's of Adam and Eve. Yes, that is incest as we know it. However, Adam, created by God in God's image, was created to be the perfect human male and Eve, his perfect female counterpart. You can't mix the philosophy of today with that of the time during Adam and Eve. If you are going to make fun of anything, you should really do your homework and be a little more aware of the context of that which you make fun. Otherwise, you look just as ridiculous as the subject of your jest. And before you send out your forthcoming rebuttal, yes, I am a Christian and yes, I do believe in the Bible as it is written. This was very well done. I disagree that it wasn’t very well done. I thought it was amazing. Clearly you didn’t have film quality makeup and props but who expects it. You broke the story down and told it, how it’s told but point out many issues Iv never notice or been told.
