    Note for Everyone, in case your clock is stuck or it doesn't start after following the vid step by step, go to the redstone comparator that is placed on top of the observer near the daylight sensor and right click/activate it and it will start the clock. Took me too long to figure this out as i thought this entire time i messed up the redstone circuit.

    This is excellent! I saw your original clock video months ago and then recently I needed a clock for a build and could not find your video again. Other designs didn't do what I wanted so I designed my own. As soon as I was done, this video shows up in my suggestions. Real elegant solution to the hopper clock being synced up on a day reset. I think I'll end up using your design over my own.

    This is a really good circuit, and far beyond my redstone capability! My only criticism is how far back the circuit goes, making it very difficult to have a clock face on each side of a proportioned tower (like the real big ben), If you every release a V3, moving the clock mechanism either up or down with a output that could be linked to multiple faces would be exquisite! Thank you for this one however as it is 90% of exactly what I've been looking for!

    This version has outward blocks for hands whereas the old version has inward blocks for hands... I think visually the old version is easier to read, could you make a variation of this compact design where the hands are inward?

    • @Snap2it.
      @Snap2it.  2 года назад

      Yeah, I agree the older design was easier to read. Keeping the hand "out" helps to keep the redstone more compact and simple. I'm sure you could modify this one to make the hands indented, but it's not something I plan on doing.

    For some reason the sticky piston under the note block isn’t moving for me. Clock keeps getting stuck in 8:00 only even after reset.

    • @Snap2it.
      @Snap2it.  Год назад +1

      The sticky piston under the note block is powered by the observers that face the hopper clocks. There's two blocks that get alternatively moved into position above those observers so that only one of them can power the note block at a given time. Just check that everything in that region matches the video. Sometimes redoing a section is the easiest way to find an issue. You could also hop into my discord server where you can post pictures :)

    Something keeps happening when I try to reset/sync it at daytime, the 6am and 7:45am arms are activated at the same time and I can’t for the life of me figure out what’s going on.

      That sounds like it could be caused by a repeater set to an incorrect delay. Can't say for sure, of course.

      @@Snap2it. That was it lol, one repeater on the 7:45 arm was set 1 tick too many and it threw everything else off. Thank you!!!

      Did you have to change the note block area? Looks like there's some quasi piston updating going on there.

    Could you build a chunk loader inside of the clock tower, so it doesn't have to be in the spawn chunks to be loaded all the time?

    • @Snap2it.
      @Snap2it.  2 года назад +1

      That could definitely help! You'd still need the reset functionality for when you sleep and stuff, but that would allow it to work well outside of spawn.

      Somewhat of a noob minecraft player here, only recently interested in redstone stuff - what is a chunk loader and how do you make one?

    • @robin9321
      @robin9321 2 года назад

      @@beanbrain6162 No worries! Happy to help! Usually, a chunk loader consists of a nether portal and a contraption that shoots an item back and forth through it. Every time the item enters or exits the portal, the chunk the portal is in is being loaded for a few seconds, whether you're there or not. There are quite a lot of tutorials on how to build one. Hope that helped! ^^
