    Thumbs up for exploring 13-inch props. I am also testing out 13-inch cinelift props from my previous 19-inch helicopter blades. My single rotor is only 250 grams, but all trend curves indicate that 13-inch props have highest endurance and optimal for motor weight for 250 gram single-rotor drones.

    Looks a lot like the drones I built a year ago for Nascar. Nice to see more people actually engineering structure into frames instead of just drawing shapes and playing Tetris with the components like most of this industry. Well done.

      Ah really? Where can I find your drone? 😇

    • @KevPV
      @KevPV Год назад

      @@EllisvanJason It's not available to the public unfortunately, but the core structure of the design is a similar concept and it works extremely well. Been running it for a year now and it's been solid AF. I guarantee there will be a lot more split-arm designs in the future as more people catch on and actually start engineering legit, strong, and lightweight airframes instead of just making components work together. It's clear you guys put a fair amount of thought into yours which is refreshing to see in an other-wise stale market.

    Okay so I see you have used Chris Rosser's truss design style to base your design. Sure intelligent hot swap batteries and a metallic camera mount are good design choices for professional customers. But frames that have been tried and tested are already out there which support a red komodo. It will be a lot more convincing once someone compares your product with those.

    • @EllisvanJason
      @EllisvanJason  Год назад

      Did not copy chris at all. Why should we 😅 I believe our design is more advanced and has much more than just a truss. Truss is a basic structure. If you think chris invented it, you are wrong 🤓 vertical arms is not something new, and so truss. Also our truss is different and soon will be more complex so we move fast and we dont beed to copy others 😎💪 well then bu the other frame if you want to get 4-5 min flight time and lots of sag 😂👌 just flew 9 min with a 90-100km/h so in my opinion this changes so much 🚀

    • @aakashjana6225
      @aakashjana6225 Год назад

      @@EllisvanJason impressive. Well yeah I know Chris didn't invent trusses. I didn't say you copied per se learning from his findings is nothing wrong. Did you mean to say your setup has no sag ? How is that being avoided. Are you getting some special battery chemistry or is your setup low current draw.

    just throwing out an idea to look into helicopters that follow wrc cars (world rally championship & inside the helicopter are a pilot & a camera operator controlling the gimbal mounted camera).. similar speeds(+200kmph), similar stage times (battery lifetime).. many drivers though, so you'd need many drones ready to go and multiple fpv pilots.. mountains, valleys, dense forests, night time environments, rain, storm, are an issue though, but maybe you can figure something out

      Think of the time of a typical shot…. seconds. Ten minutes is a lifetime! It is not best to wait in the air where one can’t swap batteries or SD cards while the rest of the crew resets a shot. In tightly timed sequences, the pre positioning of assets (camera rigs of all types) is critical.

We used queenbee and startruss for couple of weeks and put them under big stress tests, so far all gucci 🤓🙏 sometime you have to expand the pie and look for other options.

    These drones look great but QueenBee has a flight time of 4 min and a pricetag of 7,000 GBP. No thanks!!!

      Yes at 10kg payload. If you fl with a small gimbal and cam, much more. This is a high end drone for high end productions and 4min for that is a really good number, I know it looks low but at 10kg on top of the drone weight, thats something

    They need to sell dummie cameras with adjustable weight, so people can practice without expensive gears.
    A camera shape, make it hollow on the inside. and a lock at the top, open the lock and add weight plates (metal). where you use a bolt to tighten the metal plate. when added the 1-15 metal plate and reached the weight you want, add the bolt and then put the lock back on.
    Now you can practice with real weight of your camera, without putting your camera at risk.
