In today's video, I've built an Argossean villa on Noob river next to the sentinels. This is meant as a small player home or could be tweaked easily to be a point of interest on any PVE server.

The logging sound effect cracked me up! I always enjoy seeing the Floorplan, I think I will try and replicate this build, I really enjoyed the garden area and the use of shrubs around the statues of the river entrance.
Appreciate that shark! build tutorials are a little hard to make super entertaining so I'm glad it got a laugh out of someone at least :) yeah I was proud of the garden, I'd love to upscale it a bit really - if anything it was a little cramped in there. Best thing about that shrub technique is you dont need any mods to do it :D

Thank you ivy! Yeah I try to be as informative as possible in my videos as they are essentially tutorials, if I just wanted to showcase a build the vids would be a lot shorter! :)
@@jimmerding in all fairness you are one of the few informative people who show blueprint layouts , pieces,sizes of dimensions, and whats going to be used. I spent so long the past few days trying to find layouts that weren't sped up and actually told me information and showed blueprints that's the biggest thing I wanted to see how everyone starts there builds not just sped up:)
How do you gtvthe staircases to work on the lowered levels???? I’m lost here

What a well thought out and complex build. With conan its easy to build things that when they are so big can look a little samey. This looks so interesting and unique. Well done!

I'm going to add parts of this to my vanilla Argossean build, love the vibe! If anyone wondering, you can play around with the lower foundation areas in vanilla, lowering by 2, you can use the derketo stage stairs now :)
Excellent, I also built a villa mixing few real archeological sites. I'm using a mix of Aquilonian, Argos, arena, and mods like clay roofs from Dudes Delight and Tavern walls that have stones and arches
Dudes delight is a really good mod! the Tavern materials are incredible considering you only need tier 1 materials for most of them :)

Love the look, only thing that worries me is that there is no security measure from the other side of the bridge, now. A lattice door won't easily stop a would be robber!
I'd have to agree - the pompous owners of this villa must think they're untouchable... haha I'd recommend building on a server with Container ownership rules in place, my builds always value aesthetic over anything - even security sometimes! :)

Great build! I'm new to Conan Exiles, could you make a video explaining the "fence foundation method"?
If it's still open, you place a fence foundation a bit deeper on a normal foundation. Then you place another foundation on that fence foundation and it will be a bit deeper than the first one. Rinse and repeat, that way you can create smaller steps than a whole foundation height.

What can i say about this...really beutiful. I guess Argossean style its a mix of Ancient Greece (where was Argos) & The Roman Empire
And as much as I like small builds... this would be perfect for my Argossean :D Going out of your way to make the roof more interesting is a nice touch, too.
Argossean rules! :D I agree, a decent roof can make or break a build, and people will always climb over buildings that peak their interest if they can! May as well give them something nice to look at whilst they're up there too 😂

Ahh I'm sorry to hear that :( did you build on console or pc? I know that the less building placement restrictions mod on pc helps big time for the foundation placement. Let me know and Ill try give some pointers :)

Great build but Im stuck getting the steps in after ive lowered the floor using the fence foundations. Is it because you have a mod? Im on the ps5. It took me a while to drop the floor to start with! This is at the stage before you start building. Thanks
Love the build, and the color of the build pops out at you. How do you get/do the 1/4, 1/2 size steps for the areas that step down elevation, all i can do is get full size steps that dont match the elevations as shown in the video.
Thank you Warren! yeah I do love the brightness of colors you get from Argossian / Aquilonian pieces :) So the stairs thing is actually normal stairs but "embedded" in foundations due to the "Less building placement restrictions" mod, so if you're playing unmodded I'm afraid that'll not be possible (I feel like Arena Stairs alone might allow you to embed for some reason but don't quote me on that)
I think I am about to start building this to some degree. I will probably double it and make it a bit more productive and practical while maintaining the aesthetics. If anyone is interested in helping we have our own server and would love the assistance.
Love this and all your builds! One question: how are you painting the Reinforced stone exterior foundations?
Thank you david! Glad you like my builds! :D so in this case I think I used argossean fence foundations, you can slot them onto the sides of normal foundations ;) means you can have the horizontal look of one material and the vertical look of another
@@jimmerding Thanks for the quick reply! Realized I have one more question: The difference in the height of the Aquilonian foundations vs the reinforced and Argossean. How did you accomplish that?

@@jimmerding the few times I’m happy I’m on console not Having my game broken every time an update happens because of mods although they’re worth it 😅😭 anyway hope you get them working I’d love to see your take on a large scale city btw!

How do you snap the fences in the doorways or do I need a mod for that? I have my own server. Thanks looks great, lots of inspiration! Sorry looked at show more and read some of the posts trying Less building placement restrictions, thanks, I only have Hosav UI, and Gear manager mod. will these not make the mod work? Ok, I got it all working just needed to add it to my Gportal server site!

Am I absolutely tripping or are the torches less bright / in your face than in an unmodded game ? Something I really have a hard time dealing with is how much the light shine through roofs, walls and floor. Better Torches helps a bit but I don't see it in your mod list so I'm wondering =)
I hear you there! I don't believe I have any mods effecting brightness. However I know brazier style wall torches are definitely brighter, eg argossean wall torches. Use the bog standard wall torches for a smaller light source. I agree though! Hate it when my iron floor braziers shine through solid floors / walls haha

Hey, that would be from the less restricted building placement mod on pc, I don't believe you can do it on console/vanilla I'm afraid!
Hey can you tell me how do I get these guards with the spear and the argossean armor on?
The armour is argossean, the guards are from the pippi mod on pc. You can pose them in different styles, this one is actually the pose the kingscourge is doing :) the spear is from one of the deco mods (maybe immerse RP or deco and placeables). You place them you would a flag etc

How many Buildingpieces and Placeables does this building have?!
Ohh that would be hard to calculate, I dont tend to keep track as I build because most of the time I freestyle. I'd say you'd want a good 2 stacks (at least) of walls and foundations, possibly fences too. All other pieces you might get away with 1 full stack of everything just to account for mistakes etc, though even with that you can pick up items again now. Hope you enjoyed the build :)
@@jimmerding I did I got an idea for my new RP character.. but we have a limit to buildingpieces and placeables on our server... 900 in total for ne person...
@@hoelletara593 I reckon you're probably safe with this build then, or something like it. It's not a giant mega base tbh so is likely we'll within 900

Hmmm tbf I think that is from the less building placement restrictions mod... Not do-able on console. You could easily replace those sections with argossean windows or maybe lattice walls though?
