I just picked up a silver one of these from you guys in the beginning od December. With it being winter I have not done any trips yet but I have many planned. It will be used as both a camper on some occasions and a hotel hopper when traveling with more family. It really drives nice.
You folks sure know how to build campervans. If I win the Lotto, I'll order a right hand drive 4 x 4 with a straight six diesel engine! Love from South Africa!
The bed looks uncomfortable, because the seats have raised bumps on the sides, which makes the bed lumpy when they're unfolded and you're laying on it. Nothing ruins a trip like lack of sleep.
My thoughts as well. Some features on this are very nice, but just too much $$. We love our Travato, ours has twins that convert into a big bed in no time that's just shy of a king and it's comfortable. Features on ours aren't quite like an airstream but for half the price we enjoy it plenty enough
Great video almost exactly what I’m looking for. Couple things confused me. The 24GL is supposed to have 9 seats belts but video says it seats only 7. Can you explain that? I noticed something written on the side seats in Lounge area but couldn’t read it. I’m 6’-4” will I be too tall? Does this model support the Starlink system?
If equipped with 4x4, there is a max of 7 seat belts due to payload. The side lounge seats had stitched in it that it is not a seat for when driving. Starlink can be upfitted to any RV.
Again, incineration toilets or composting toilets let you avoid the sewage issue, which is beyond disgusting. Also, you can stay where there are no such services instead.of depending on services at certain locations. You could just park and live without having to be on crowded areas or needing reservations somewhere.
Pop-up 1 deck to 2 decks RV is future of RV! Double space RV easily, just a push on button! China has few RV like that. Company should develope this kind of RV!
I’m a big fan of this, but one thing I am curious about with Class B vehicles is the large passenger capacity but not enough sleeping capacity. Any idea if in the future that this will be an option on anything other than a rangeline?
It’s called the “interstate” because I think it’s meant to be a people hauler rather than a camper as such. It’s like an executive business jet on wheels.
Many, like my aunt and uncle, use theirs as a traveling vehicle. Bed up, load it with family and head to wherever you wish for dinner or long trip. When we take long trips, we stay at hotels. When they travel, they can go 2-3 days anywhere, then they spend a day at an RV park to shop, do laundry, restock, etc., then on the road again.
@@lvlv1225 - Yes. The hotels are only when they take more guests than can sleep inside, plus I snore. Class B’s have 15-24 gallon tanks, they can’t boon-dock for more than a few days or less. 1 person could of course stretch the time, two maybe if both learned to save water, but add 2 kids and sometimes they are lucky to overnight at a Walmart. So the must spend a day or two dumping, restocking (small refrigerator) and cleaning clothes as they pack minimally.
I wish Toyota made something like this. I trust their engineering so the engine lasts forever. Mercedes is notorious for constantly needing expensive repairs.

E1 upgrade $24,000 did i hear that right?
Can you put a posting toilet in there?
Sure, aftermarket.
Patrick Bodicelli is the best explained of these.
4 cylinders?
I wouldn't need the additional passenger seats. I think they take up room that could otherwise be used for something else. Hopefully that's an option.
Check out the 24GT Grand Tour.
One could use this as a business - driving musicians around the country to their gigs.
Why wouldn't they put the def fill on the close to the diesel fill
Keeps people from accidentally mixing diesel and def. It happens all the time, and for the inexperienced even moreso.

Can airstream do this for other vehicles other than Mercedes?
Yes, the Rangeline is on a RAM

You should search the Airstream Skydeck.
@@colonialairstream It's not true pop-up double deck RV. You search "Truck Surf Hotel" and find out!
Did he say 4 cylinder wow
Post gt with pospane in that color
??
I wouldn't want all those seats. I'd want more other options since I only need it for 2 people. 7 people would be too crowded!

There are class B’s that sleep 4. Winnebago Solis, and other manufacturers as well. Rangeline with pop top. But yes, more are needed.

Oof..Diesel smells so horrible.
looks like you need to be a size 0 to use that bathroom. i'd rather that barhroom not be in there and have more room for seating
So a limo and not an RV?
$285K and you have to sleep on belt buckles, share a tv tray with three other people and try to watch TV on a 11in screen. Pure and utter garbage.
How would you better utilize the limited space in the Sprinter van?
you arent very smart, are you?
@@colonialairstream I would start by selling it for cheaper by becoming a non-profit company.
