MY favorite episode..me and a couple of my friends were the Terrence boys..we skipped school that day. Went to see them shoot the show and they asked if we wanted to be in
iirc Snoops actress, felicia pearson was actually on parole for murder and dealing drugs when she was filming this season. Michael K Williams became friends with her and offered a job on set as an extra. the directors took one listen to snoops thick baltimore accent and knew they had to add her into the script immediately.
MAN!!!! I cant wait until you guys get into the middle of this season. Season 3 and 4 are what The Wire's reputation is built on. Please avoid spoilers at ALL cost.
This is a season that comes from the heart, so to speak. It was directly inspired by the personal story of Ed Burns, one of the co-creators of the show, who was a former homicide detective who quit the force to become a school teacher. All opening scenes of all The Wire seasons give away the season's theme and this is no exception, down to the choice of opening credit song, which is done by a school choir. What Chris and Snoop are using is lye powder. It doesn't dissolve flesh, but it dries it up, so that the bodies mummify and don't decompose.
Oh yay! My favorite season! It was great to hear your end talk and I wonder your thoughts as you continue. The intro song might grow on you. Not the best, but not the worse.
If yall like that mafia stuff , HBO has another great show based on real life gangsters ( omar from the wire also plays a lead role ) its called : boardwalk empire
Snoop respect the learning (“u earn that bump like a mo-fker”) and this season all about the bodies left in the vacants = like the kids left for dead in the educational system.
Personally this is my favorite season of the series for many reasons but two come to mind immediately. Snoop and Chris are arguably the most horrifying characters in any show ever.
Most likely someone in the subtitles mixed up the two dead dudes in the vacants and called the other one Lex. There's no line of dialogue that calls him Lex so it would be weird if that was his name as well.
"Mcnulty is no longer around to teach her the ways of the Jedi" hahahahaha , this is true though, plus it would fit in with the theme of Education for this season. McNulty is not here to feed Kima more Jedi tricks of the cheating Cop.
@@FriendRequestReviews you should consider watching the Method Man podcast after you're done with the show, he has some really cool talks with the surviving cast, and chief among them for me is their talks with Felicia "Snoop" Pearson. She's a very wild character indeed, and comes across in her IRL interviews as incredibly funny and sweet and also, weirdly, exactly like what you see on the show
Can’t fucking wait for this ☝🏾☝🏾☝🏾 By far my favorite season of the entire show. “Fuck yourself witha 40 shitbreath” is a quote I say in my head allllll the time bro. Ain’t no lie, Snoop is the OG version of KI from chiraq.
Lance Reddick was also good in 'Oz'. Another HBO show which if u haven't' seen (?) boy, that'd make some Great reactions! Very similar feel to the Wire, in fact many of the same actors. Lance Reddick's comedic timing was underrated, but on display in 'Oz'.
I'm so excited to go through this season with you guys, it's easily the best one And RIP Lance Reddick, probably the best actor in this already amazing cast
I might be the only one but it would be cool if you guys put something different than photos of the characters around the scenes - my eyes keep looking at them thinking they're part of the show. Whatever though. You guys are the best.
The subtitles are really bad. Im a white guy who like guitar bands from the countryside in the uk and i have a better ear for Baltimore street talk than these guys doing the subs.
I call Season 4 : "Body Season" but Snoop (the female hitter) really ain't shit compared to what u guys said about her at the beginning , she only kills 2 or 3 ppl in the entire show which ain't shit compared to what's coming & u already saw one of her victims get killed when she did the drive by on the crotch rocket, she is more of the clean up person for Chris & his little helper more than a actual hitter , Chris is the real hitter of the Stanfield organization , Snoop is basically just a trainee/protege of his throughout the entire show & being a female , she gets pretty jelly later on when they bring in & train a different recruite that's a lot younger than her & alot smarter too💯 the female hitter u was talking about is Chicago's K.I. aka Lil Snupe aka Gakirah Barnes (17yrs old) killed more ppl in real life than Snoop ever kills in this entire show!!!!
@@Cappadonna72 na that's not really much of a spoiler alert cuz pretty much everything I just said may easily go right over your heads especially with everything else going on in each episode & because everything I said isn't actually told out loud so that's basically why I said it now so u can add it to your first ever viewings of this entire show💯
MY favorite episode..me and a couple of my friends were the Terrence boys..we skipped school that day. Went to see them shoot the show and they asked if we wanted to be in
🔥
Man. What an immense talent we lost. Very sad. Rest In Peace, Lance.
I, like probably many others, have been anxiously waiting for you guys to get to this season. It is considered to be the masterpiece of the series
awesome season for sure!
The intro songs never hit until the last few eps once I get used to it. For me at least.
Still to this day I find myself absentmindedly whistling the intro from Season 1.
"he said this is the Cadillac of nailguns. What he really meant was Lexus. He just ain't know it."

that why this show feels so real they get real people from Baltimore.
sucks she had the past she had, but it's great she got a second chance at life, I hope she made the most of it.
These Baltimore child actors are all great, they give me those Stand By Me vibes.
I believe they were all kids that were taking Robert Chew's (Prop Joe) acting class.
@@manzell That's true. The behind the scenes on the DVDs talk about it.
dookie and micheal are real life cousins.
they were fantastic! The school kids were a great addition to an already fire series.
@@jmwild1think it was more of a case that Robert Chew mentored them once they were on set
My favorite cold open of the series right here
With this season, welcome to the all-time summit of television. The word "epic" doesn't even begin to cover it.
Glad you guys are already zeroed in on the Herc/Carver dynamic
this season goes wild
awesome season
The best season of the best crime drama of all-time.
MAN!!!!
I cant wait until you guys get into the middle of this season.

this season bout to be the most emotional 👀
the butterfly effect and all the things intertwined here is beautiful 👍
Lance Reddick got his flowers way before his time. RIP Lt Daniels
One of the greatest seasons in 📺 history!
S4 is the best version of the intro no 🧢.
What's up, Patrice?
Gets me everytime.
Also the kids all have rough equivalents to the adult characters in the show. It's pretty cool.
Cant wait for yall to get deep in this season. 🔥🔥
Oh yay! My favorite season! It was great to hear your end talk and I wonder your thoughts as you continue. The intro song might grow on you. Not the best, but not the worse.
Bralik been taking Formal cough medicine. Them eyes was looking MAD low at the beginning bro.
😂😂😂 Formal speaking… my eyes are naturally low 😵💫
If yall like that mafia stuff , HBO has another great show based on real life gangsters ( omar from the wire also plays a lead role ) its called : boardwalk empire
I been waiting for this episode ever since Formal's Fruit vs Cutty theory lol.
lol The Wire made me waste so many theories/predictions...
@@FriendRequestReviews It's unpredictable but realistic as well. That's why this show is so good
"That's low-key kinda genius." - Bralik
Yes, Beadie Russell is the police woman from Season Two. I believe that's lye Snoop & Chris are using. Dissolves flesh quicker and masks the smell.
Snoop respect the learning (“u earn that bump like a mo-fker”) and this season all about the bodies left in the vacants = like the kids left for dead in the educational system.
Kenard seems like an interesting character!
The Single greatest season in TV history.
Personally this is my favorite season of the series for many reasons but two come to mind immediately. Snoop and Chris are arguably the most horrifying characters in any show ever.
It's what I remember the most from the entire series:
"Pandemic! *I GOT THAT PANDEMIC right chere* "
Most likely someone in the subtitles mixed up the two dead dudes in the vacants and called the other one Lex. There's no line of dialogue that calls him Lex so it would be weird if that was his name as well.
RIP Lt. Daniels, the man was natural police. Happy Lance got a sendoff in Wick 4.
"Mcnulty is no longer around to teach her the ways of the Jedi" hahahahaha , this is true though, plus it would fit in with the theme of Education for this season. McNulty is not here to feed Kima more Jedi tricks of the cheating Cop.
I love Norman so much.
Lance Reddick was so versatile, going from Cedric Daniels to Papa Legba in AHS: Coven.
R.I.P to the great 🙏🏾
Snoop cracks me up.😄 So do y'all☺
love Snoop

RIP Lance 😢 silver lining, we’re at season 4, my personal favourite, can’t wait to see what you both make of it 🤘
awesome season, I'll leave it at that
I told you guys the first intro was the best. Lol
That Intro music everytime!! 💀😂🤣🤣
That little girl snoop was in prison for murder in real life , before the show

Yup, I was thinking of KI every time I mentioned how G Snoop was.

You probably figured it out by now but the subtitles in that one scene were wrong, the guy in the vacant was not actually Lex.
lol i legit just thought there were two people named Lex
r.i.p legend

I might be the only one but it would be cool if you guys put something different than photos of the characters around the scenes - my eyes keep looking at them thinking they're part of the show.
Whatever though. You guys are the best.
The Wire Seasons 1,2,3 are Better Call Saul.. now your watching Breaking Bad. Your going to love this season
I like this analogy
Yeah, well said
Lester's sweater is fire. One thing you'll learn is that Naymond isn't the only kid with a notable father.
Yo what's up no more season 4?
it's going through the checks, it'll be up in a couple of days
Season 4 has the worst intro song for sure, but is arguably the best season of the Wire. Snoop and Chris get to shine
and omar.
The worst?! Man, season 4 was my favorite.
Season 5 is probably my least IIRC.
@Donovan Blair he said the intro is the worst not the season
Idk how everyone think this the worst, this the BEST by far for me
Idk, season 4 has a lil jig to it. So far season 5 intro is the worst for me, but I hold judgment until the end of the season.
He died in march. This is june.
This came out on patreon the same week he passed away. RIP 🙏🏾
Rip omar as well.
Michael k and lance. Very sad.
@postshanna both gone too soon sad omar was into hard drugs like DMX.
In confused, what the hell is so funny about the intro?
Lmao I've listened to all The Wire intros and sadly this one and Season 5 are not great IMO. Awesome episode and reaction.
lol just wait for that season 5 episode 1 intro reaction lol
