- the zipper and the title are back, but new this year is hullabaloo, an arc waveframe heavy GL. with only 1 other in the game, is it worth getting this in arc flavor? or should you just get the sparrow and dip?

The grenade launcher has exactly one use case: Cenotaph Divinity. Since you won't be using heavy ammo for bosses or mini bosses, that frees your heavy for ad clear. Since it's arc, it can benefit from your arc reserve mods as well. I don't know if it's the best arc ad clear heavy, but it is an option, especially for players who might not have the best of the best weapons yet.

It staggers certain bosses, and is a decent damage option. I tried the dimensional hyperchromosome, and it did well in the prophecy dungeon. It stunlocks the phalanx echo and shreds him, though he is kinda weak for a boss. It was on par with d breath on the kell echo. It's just awkward to use sometimes.
Wendi is probably better though because of adept mods.

Small correction: Heavy wave frames no longer have weird physics mechanics making them optimal for things like Riven. Heavy wave frames did become a lot more viable for damage, but there's no objective reason not to go for something like cataphract instead.
They are slightly weaker than an equivalent adaptive frame, per Aegis testing. Closer than you might think though. I think this might be a good GM weapon since that format doesn't really rely on optimizing for boss DPS and we all know how good Forbearance is.
In addition to the Repulsor/Destabilizing on The Title, The Title is the ONLY void SMG that can get (Grave Robber/Pugilist)/Swashbuckler. I have an older pugi/swash title that I occasionally use on my void titan with the thrown shield. It's different and fun, maybe not GOOD, just a unique roll currently and I thought that was worth mentioning.
For my fellow Nightstalker Hunters and Purple Crayon Eaters, The Destabilizing Rounds + Repulser Brace roll of The Title is amazing. For the hunters you can loop invis without needing Gyrfalcons. Try out Orpheus Rig or FoeTracer instead.
For the Titans, you get on kill procs of your best aspects and the benefit of an overshield without needing to use your class ability.
The Title being most kept weapon in the game that nobody uses. That is so true, a few months ago I went through my vault and deleted every single The Title from my vault, and it was 8 of them, never touched them once
They don't feel good, they run out of ammo too quick, and they feel under powered with mostly poor perks.

That just means you have bad vault management skills. You definitely don't run three characters & play regularly, because nobody that does would have 7 Titles. Vault space is just too valuable for that.

Not that it would necessarily bump the gun into a higher tier, but they said in the TWID that Taraxippos would have Slice, and it...doesn't. So I guess stay tuned for Taraxippos's perk pool potentially getting updated/fixed before the end of the event (not likely imo).
Idk about you but the Title remains as one of my favorite smgs for void. It just feels, looks, and sounds great.

@@valkyrien957you don’t really need destabilising rounds on gyrfalcons tho, that’s the whole point of the exotic. Collective action is better I think because if you get the void breaches you get extra damage, over shield and volatile.

Attrition Orbs is a great perk on SMGs because of their low base mag size and high rate of fire. You only need ~2/3rds of a mag ti hit to get the extra orb, and on a few smgs that's less than 20 bullets. Definitely something to try out.
yea i have a parabellum with attrition orbs and rewind rounds. it just prints orbs constantly
Pssst, subjunctive can be crafted with shoot to loot attrition orbs and an origin trait with the same utility of rewind rounds! (just slightly less effective) create *and* collect the orb without ever leaving the safety of cover!
it's not bad on the new darkest before, paired with incandecent, either. not sure if the scorch ticks proc the orb
The weapons aren't to valuable to us giga gamers, but to New Lights? This event is awesome for them, they get a strong weapon type in a wave frame, and two legendary primaries that are versions of weapon types they've probably tried as blues which will be a huge boost to them if they get a good Title or Tarax :)

the title with repulsor/collective action, gyrfalcons and the fragments to generate void breaches on volatile kill + devour on breach pick up sounds really good, If i get it it'll probably be my main void primary

Double wave frames on my malfeasance build has been really fun so far. Gonna try to get the vanguard wave frame with voltshot lead from gold for better ammo
Honestly I love Age-Old bond, I have five fully crafted on my account, two of which have 14k and 7k kill respectively. I mainly use Contraverse Hold with charged magnetic grenades cuz they do so much damage and even without grenade kickstart you basically get at least half of your grenade back from hitting one or two enemies. Therefore I can keep all my Voidsurge mods active pretty much all the time. I find that most people right off High-Impact auto rifles because they “feel weak”, but I find that it’s mostly that people don’t constistenly hit crits which is the most important part on autos, plus they use they at two close range.
Sooo glad I kept my outlaw/hatchling roll since they removed it from the perk pool. Love using it with my newly crafted strand build. It sat in my vault this entire time and pulled it out for this build and that's what I suggest people do... get one roll that you think is cool and even if its not meta it may just work in that niche build.
The Title with Swashbuckler/Pugilist has been my go to on my Second Chance Titan build and I've had a lot of fun with it.
I'll probably get Repulsor Brace and Destabilising Rounds since I do like the way it works together o7

4:19 man, datto, you've got to try voltshot on Indebted Kindness from the new dungeon. The time to kill is extremely quick due to it being a special weapon so you can proc voltshot incredibly easy.
But id argue its a psedo primary and fits his statment
@@frankiebigrings7048 But why would you argue that? With the true godroll (Impulse, not Beacon) it certainly feels like a special weapon & the TTK for yellow bars is too quick to call it a primary. There's zero shot leading needed at even 30 yards w/volatile/tactical/impulse/voltshot & blast radius MW. IK reloads really fast too, as opposed to the heavy GL here, where voltshot just doesn't work imo.

i do wanna say, taxxipachadjlksjf is a lightweight scout, which got buffed in pvp. its p good as a person who touches pvp occasionally whenever they put some reward in pvp that makes me willing to suffer for a couple hours. it 4 taps head, fast rpm, long range, it has some potential and it wass fun for me

I use the Title a lot on my Voidwalker actually. It's mainly for the class energy so I can maximize Child of The Old Gods uptime. With destabilizing rounds and repulsor brace that things going to be even nastier i can't wait for that roll.
The title kinda slaps with repulsor brace and destab rounds, and tarraxipos does have hatchling, but tbh they just dont really get used because while they fill that niche, they dont do much outside of it
The new SMG COOKS, with Brace and Destabilizing on void hunter is amazing. I have not taken it off sense

I’m glad to hear someone else say voltshot is silly on a heavy wave frame gl. Chain reaction is more than enough for ad clear, plus I’d rather have a bigger/auto loading mag to not have to reload constantly for a perk
On a sidenote, i do rock vouchsafe with gerfalcons and it procs its self after 2 kills. Its pretty nice.

i have voltshot on two handcannons a 140 and 120, i prefer the 140 but that 140 will absolutely slap when it has its joltshot active, i think i like using them on my hunter electric classes, the fragment so the arc power slot blinds when amped or on headshot, pairs nice with the eddy current thats on the 120
Minor thing, but the origin trait for The Title does help with gyrfalcon's sinxe you can get your doge back quicker, and of course repuslor/destabilizing works well with that exotic.
The smg tho with replusor brace and destabilizing rounds it works with my warlock and Hunter builds.
Attrition orbs destabilizing rounds for void and a parabellum with rewind and attrition orbs for solar with star eater scales
I can see the Destabilising Repulser Title could be amazing paired with Briarbinds on warlock, so deffo gonna be chasing for that if nothing else.
imma just say, the "curated" Env-Cascade roll on Hullabaloo might be good next year with all that renewed focus on Light stuff
my hullabaloo has double perks in both columns- voltshot/envious assassin + chain reaction/cascade point
she can add clear or do respectable damage to bosses.
might not be the best at either, but thats an even trade because of perk swapping on the same item.

as the guy who absolutely wants to run well and cenotaph with div/nav, using the hullabaloo for adds and chunking champs makes a lot of sense since since i wont be using my heavy on bosses anyway.
I want the SMG for over shields only gun I want and attrition orbs on the new void auto with rewind rounds is actually goated shooting bosses or champs you can get 2-3 orbs to drop good for keeping devour up and armor charges
Ive used threat detector repulser on the title. It's been really good, but that roll is gone now

I'm a big scout rifle guy and really enjoy Taraxippos, that being said this whole event is about the surfboard, I don't think i'll ever use another sparrow again.
I have a Title with High Cal/Repulsor Brace/Destabilizing Rounds +Gyrfalcons build that I love! Constant Vol. rounds and invisibility! Beef it up with 3 void surge mods and reload mods. Void Perfection!
The title is absolutely insane for a gyrafalcons build with repulsar destabilizing. So satisfying to use right now
the only problem is getting that specific roll. i’ve gotten repulsar brace rolls and destabilizing rolls separately but not together :(
when i wanna run around on hunter just shooting stuff and not thinking im always on gyrfalcon, so a repulsor brace collective action the title sounds great. always invis, always overshielded. enemies are dropping void breaches, so my weapon is always buffed. life would be good. and the origin trait would be giving me back my dodge if for some reason i dont get something in the 7 seconds volatile rounds are proc'd, i can re-proc it. i just wish we could target farm them.

(I actually use my Gutshot/Explosive Taraxippos if I'm running Strand and need a legendary scout, it does more damage than a comparable 200rpm energy scout and has decent range. Cooks heavy with Unraveling Rounds)
The title has 30 percent buff to barricade damage with Hakke, and it rolls with deconstruct that can do 40 percent. I REALLY want to test it since I used to use the title for mowing barricade on peacekeepers.
I want the scout just bc it’s a light weight frame with hatchling so I it’s auto keep for me if I get one.
I struggle to keep my void buddy up with briar binds so I’m eyeing a RB destabilizing title to help with that. My first drop was a title with RB and surrounded so not a bad start lol.
Got a destabilizing repulsor brace roll on the smg and it reminds me of antiope on crack
I use the Title every time I get on my Gyrfalcon build. It is the best SMG for that build by far, between the nerf to volatile on high rate of fire weapons and it's ability to feed you class ability energy without committing a normal perk slot to it really, really smooths that build out. I'd been using a Threat/Swash roll just because that's two solid individual perks worth having, but given how Gyrfalcon works, I'm going with Repulsor/Surrounded this time around.
I'm keeping a Volt/Collective Action roll on Hullabaloo because Arc Subclass Shenanigans. Otherwise, Hypotrochoyd covers everything else you'd want from the frame and that's really easy to get crafted.
I gotta say appreciate Datto for answering the question in the title within 10seconds.
I keep an Hullabaloo with Voltshot & Chain reaction, maybe it becomes cool in the into the light missions since you need to defend waves of enemies. But if it becomes trash I delet it
I'm glad I got a Hero's Burden when it had Repulsor Brace and Feeding Frenzy before they changed it.

Been using the Repulsor brace/Destabalizing round title a little bit and its felt pretty good (especially on warlock). The only negative is the mag size for me but the synergy for the two weapons is super strong and feels great. If you are gonna go grind or even look for anything I think The Title is at least worth trying out before u dismantle it.

I think heavy waveframes are specific types of add clear for high density activities. As such, I would think that it would be best in a group with only 1 person using one. I doubt it will ever replace any boss dps meta.. ever...
For destabilizing weapons.. I mean that's niche anyway, I wouldn't go out of my way to farm multiple types of these weapons.. but positive outlook gets destabilizing and ton of other great perks for pvp and pve.. and is able to roll mutiple godrolls in one weapon. I'd say just grab that..
I mean look, if you want repulsar brace to be it's most effective you're going to be on gryfalcon hunter, or maybe briarbinds or controverse hold warlock. So you don't need the weapon to have destabilizing rounds. The niche would be if you want easy oversheild and volitile when not running void. But even then, your giving up reload/consistency AND damage to do that. Wouldn't you just rather kill things more effectively? I would.
Dimensional Hypotrochoid is so insanely slept on. If you’re a fan of hullabaloo, go and craft Dimensional. With the reserve, wave width, and damage buff, it’s an absolutely beast even in endgame content. The ammo economy is so good too since you’re really only using 1-2 shots at a time. I think people just don’t like using things they’ve been told are “bad” or “not-meta” and they’re missing out on so much fun, both the heavy wave frames feel so satisfying to use when you just kill a whole line of enemies with 1 shot.
I mainly use mine on stasis with Agers scepter since I use that for damage. If you craft unrelenting chain reaction on it, you have the healing that stasis often lacks in endgame. I beg anyone reading this to go try out the gun, and stick with it, it takes a little to get used to
Yeah, & then Datto just turns around & makes a video saying "I was wrong" that only 1/4 of them see. It's honestly not good for the game w/the amount of people that listen to him lol. He's clueless again, because Taraxippos w/Cascade point is one of the best pvp weapons in the game, & probably the most fun. It acts like a side arm it's so stable w/it's hipfire.

Datto you should maybe try out Age Old Bond with that perk combo on something like a Gyrfalcon hunter. You might be surprised.
I WISH I'd have gotten a Stats-One for All Title, i actually wouldve used it. I did get one with Moving Target and some range to it, and it's actually pretty good inside pvp, so that's a plus
i'm still a big gutshot+explosive believer if i ever need to plink with a scout on strand
NOTE for Hullabaloo/dimensional (4:33-5:09 for reference):
wave frames no longer nuke riven as they used to as her hitbox physics and damage calculation for these weapons (and also sunbracers) has been fixed. (i believe this was done in season of the witch, or maybe the start of this season)
I've also never heard anyone mention heavy wave frames being good on taniks since its a floating boss
tl:dr : i agree with datto that it might be a good pickup for the future, but right now the archetype has no usage in boss damage scenarios

Could also be good if you want a void overshield on not-Void for some reason. combine it with woven mail or whatever they're going to do to stasis
Looking forward to trying to get a R/D title for gyrfalcon hunter that way I can run 100 res, 100 recov and always have a way to have invis uptime
Hullabaloo- Chain reaction and Voltshot is fine… the Jolt does proc chain, the only drawback tho is that it’s a slow reload… and realistically u don’t have enough ammo in the gun to worry about reloading over just burning thru ur ammo… but heavy waves did get buffed :)
The title is my most used smg because it was the best and most accessible void smg with repulser brace which fits perfectly into my gyrfalcons build :/
I'm still annoyed that they didn't give demolitionist as a perk option for the title smg...I want my pugilist, demolitionist, classy contender roll goddamit

i actually like age old bond, but i would also like a decent void smg with repulsor brace + destabilizing rounds. so ill be farming for one of those. people say taraxippos was suppose to have slice, but i dont think that would really change anything. scouts are just meh like you said. hullabaloo is just a heavy forbearance at home. it doesnt have ambitious assassin, but has envious assassin and auto loading holster
BTW, harsh language is actually pretty nuts when paring it up with a hunter oathkeeper wish ender build.

The PTI reference was an absolute treat
I mainly see repulsor / surrounded as the roll for The Title for all my fellow gyrfalcon hunters. A good combo of utility and damage. Not sure about base reload speed, so possible invest in some reloader gauntlet mods.
But if I’m being real, I just want a void omolon burst sidearm with repulsor. GIMME
The best title was the first iteration of it when it rolled with Threat detector in the 3rd column and Repulsor brace on the 4th. Its my go to SMG for Gyrfalcons build. Now Repulsor is in 3rd column so its shit.
I have 1,500 kills on my Repulsor Brace Title from last year, which might not seem like a lot but I constantly switch loadouts so most of my weapons barely break 1k. I love it on void warlock, especially with Briarbinds, and it replaced the ever-popular Funnelweb for me. My main complaint last year was that column 3 sucked (best I got was Threat Detector) but now Repulsor Brace is there instead and I'm interested to see how Collective Action fares (compared to, say, Surrounded) considering Echo of Harvest means you're essentially spawning void breaches on cooldown (probably won't bother with Destabilizing Rounds, that's what Echo of Instability is for)
I quite like dimensional hypertrocoid for faffing about in low stakes stuff, so nice to have additional variety in elements there. It's a fun archetype, nothing high power but still enjoyable in lower tier content

I got a roll of The Title that I really like last year, and I want to use it so bad but SMGs just haven't been in the seasonal artifact all year (probably because they were in so many seasons before) so there's just been no good reason to use it.

I think the reason people are going crazy for voltshot chain+ reaction is because if you reload after every shot to get voltshot you will never run out of ammo.
