What is a correct syntax to monitor a folder outside of HA virtual machine? For instance, if I want to monitor a folder with daily backups on my NAS that is on the same local network and to show some notifications or a card with the last backup status on a dashboard inside HA?
Oh there are a lot of useful things that I could think of, for example with camera images. If you have a camera with movement or human detection you can set it up to capture the picture(s) in a folder and you can set the folder watcher to monitor this folder and to send notification when new image is generated
You might think outside of the Home Assitant box... Like home labs... Automated downloading folders or file upload/generation. Honestly if you're not sure, it's not likely something applicable to your situation.
Thanks Kiril.
You are welcome, Ron! Are you going to try this?
@@KPeyanski Yes sir.

You can try to add that folder as network storage - www.home-assistant.io/common-tasks/supervised/#network-storage
Seems cool but I’m struggling to think of a use for thus 🤔
