Got into gaming a little later in life than most. Purchased one of these a while back after steam deck hadnt been out too long. Nothing against steam but my library with them isnt huge. Wanted to love this device but when i got it i had a unit with just too many issues. That with the limitations i knew it already came with i just returned it. Shame tho i really wanted to like it.
@okestgamer I have a legion go but don't want to carry a big expensive console around. But the win600 is just for indie games. The win600 really helps clear all the indie games off my LEGO (legion go)
What a wild entry in the PC handheld space, I enjoyed mine, but that is mostly because of installing GameCube/PS2 era PC games. Those run great, until the puny battery konks out.
Yeah it definitely would do better with dual channel. It was a fun little experiment to test it out. At a later date I want to do a throw back review of the win 3
There’s better devices like the Loki zero , ayaneo next lite and z1 rog ally in the same price point guys. So please look these up before making ur final decision. Thank u
@@mackw919 gotcha, yeah the win600 does struggle a lot with modern PC games. It's a tough sell in the market we have with the steam deck being so available used and low cost.
I couldn't get it to run asetto cords worth a darn,,,,I think it's good depending on what you choose to play on it,,,,like others say,,,better ram would have made it a winner,,,or at least allow you to upgrade to dual channel ram
Great video - thanks for sharing another informative video on a handheld device that some may not be familiar with that was in the handheld market.
Sometimes you gotta look back to appreciate where you are today. Handhelds have come a long way

Yeah it’s a pretty wonky device. Something like the legion go or ally would be a good option now
I want this for VN and indie games and xbox360 consoles and under.
Yeah I think simple emulating could work. I would suggest maybe a steam deck instead for the price.

That’s something I still need to test on it. Probably also it’s best use case
I think one of its biggest Achilles heels is the single-channel RAM.

@@okestgamer I'm looking forward to the Win3 throwback review
Yeah same, might be a bit before I get some free time, but it’s on the back burner
I loved this thing only got rid of it because it was way to small for my hands to play GMS longer than 30 mins
I could see that. I have medium sized hands and if you stretch a certain way it can work, but it takes a specific way to hold it
👀the BEAST
The beast finally made its appearance
The stupid thing is it could perform so much better if they hadn't crippled it with single-channel ram.
Yeah it definitely would have helped it out
It is fine for playing retro stuff,,,but that's about,,,dual channel faster ram would have helped it a lot
Yeah retro works well on it. I even tested starfield for the hell of it. 2 fps 😂
@@okestgamerit actually booted!? That’s awesome. Curious, how does Skyrim or even Fallout 4 run?
This should run, I would need to test them out.

Yes all those options are better picks. The steam deck is also a better option
Rg405v has more power and it is cheaper
Is it running android?
@@okestgamer yes

This thing is a beast. It can play steam games and epic epic games games.
The beast!

@@gsprings43 yeah it helped in some scenarios to improve stability. It seems very gpu limited from the games I tried.

win600 never buy it...
Why? It’s the best performing handheld 😆. I think it’s mostly a collector’s item now, or maybe emulation
this device always seemed kinda sucky to me it looks ugly and cheap and performance is awful
I really was curious about the device back when I first got into handhelds. It’s definitely made for light 3d, but more 2d style games.
