This is how I always feel when customers don’t understand me. I feel like I’m a failure at my job, I work in call center by the way. It’s hard that when they say they can’t understand what you’re saying and will ask where am I from or where are we located… there’s intimidation. I wish these native English speakers should open up and listen to various languages too and get familiarized with them

I live Massachusetts for 3 years and I feel so embarrassed when ppl can’t understand me. Pronouncing correctly a word or some words in a sentence is pretty hard. Ur tips are definitely precious. Thank you.

No big deal becoz America itself got the same word pronounced 50-60 types differently, due to lots of ethnic in the same bowl.
When they understand you that's their problems could be they weak in vocabulary or words usage. Cool 😎

    2:27 start main topic!
    1. Repeat the word again and slowly with deep breath
    + Say little deffirently
+ Try focus on one key word as most significant one
    2. Body language (Even if not face to face)
With your body, present your feeling
    +Confidence and pride
    +mind set
    3. do your homework!!
Write down the word or sentence they didnt understand and fix intonation etc..
    And practicing next time!
Some of spellings may be wrong as i’m non-native🤣

Your english accent is very clear and good. Even you are brave and able to make an English learning course that prioritizes learning pronunciation and you also don't give half-assed lessons, you also share it to your RUclips content. Even though if you are not a native speaker. It's rare for native speakers to give courses or videos on pronunciation like you. Very important pronunciation for beginners learning a new language. And when you talk on video, I really like the way you talk with enthusiasm and confidence, your body language are really good. I learned a lot from some of your videos. Thank you very much for the content you create, it really helps us ❤️ greetings from Indonesia 🇲🇨

This is the video what I needed, I live in Mexico but I work with customers who lives in USA and it's really frustrating when the people says "I don't understand nothing what are you saying", "I passed a really bad time trying to understand you", "Can I talk with somebody who can speak English?" a lot of times I think if my English is really bad or only the people is rude because I'm Hispanic.

No te sientas mal por eso, solo son una bola de racistas -.- Si no pudieras hablar Inglés no tendrías ese empleo, en primer lugar, y en segundo lugar, tú sigues dando lo mejor de ti, sigues aprendiendo y tienes la intensión de cada vez ser mejor, ellos creen que solo porque hablan Inglés no necesitan hacer ningun esfuerzo extra XD A la mayoría de Gringos no les interes aprender un segundo idioma porque se creen muy superiores con su Inglés

Now as i watched your video, Hadar, i see that it's not the best solution. Smile and pronounce your words clearly, don't miss the endings. Never thought of such an easy solution. Thank you, Hadar

Hi… for me it’s a mixing of feeling when do not understand me. It depends on how I’m feeling in that moment. So, what I want to say is that learning a new language is so much more than learning the grammar etc… it’s a self- knowledge journey.

What we often forget when speaking English as a second language is that conversing in English is about communication, not about self-testing or showing off our ability to speak in public. When your message doesn't successfully get across to the other party during the conversation, tapping into a range of nonverbal cues would simply do the trick. And as Hadar points out in this video, don't forget to relax before restating what you said earlier. As soon as you start getting nervous, the other party instantly notices this change and feels nervous as well.

I've been trying to speak English as fluent as I can, so i am used to of practising englisk speaking with my elders. But though they don't know that bunch of English still they start judging because they aren't familiar with the voices I'm trying to pronounce. They were like: don't to be a Englishman. So would you plz suggest me some app Or website where I'm able to make myself mor proficient with my speaking skills, where I'll catch up with some more English learners who share the same hard work for English fluency as I do...... You're doing a great job mam. I'll appreciate it. Best of luck for your future. 💜❤

Hello Hadar, greetings from Colombia. I've been watching your videos for a while and they have helped me a lot to improve my English. Thank you very much!
However, I am still felling embarrassed when trying to have a conversation. I mean, when I talk to my self, I remember all the words and even expressions that I've learned so far, however, when facing a real conversation, it's just like everything I know is gone forever. That's kind of frustrating, what should I do? By the way I was trying to join your English programs but it seems that they are full. Cheers!

Because I think that whether people can understand what I said and do they think my pronounciation is not really good and my language is very funny. It very bad to me although I am trying to improve my english day by day. It will make me feel not confident about my english and I cant relax when I speak it again.

I work in the healthcare field and witness all the time how even natives often do not understand each other. That has resolved ALL my issues with this matter ))) I even have to explain sometimes to patients what my fellow American born coworker just said ))) Especially if you work with elderly people. Trust me, that happens more frequently, when you can imagine. For instance, one time my fellow coworker asked a patient to take off his shirt and pt decided that he has been asked to remove his shorts (and almost took them off)! And they both have American English as their mother tongue.

People sometimes don't undestand me in my native language, lol. It is something that happend to some people (It is about diction and articulation of the words) and maybe that is one of the reason because they are not undestood.
So they need to improve they voice in general (not only in English) to fix the problem. It is about doing some exercises.

Did you try talking to yourself in English? In this case you actually do have that vocabulary at hand and you can look up the word you're missing. Or you might remember it in 15 seconds (without stress). And then practice will help you extend that vocabulary more and more. :)

LOL Honestly I won't change the way my name is pronounced just because they find it hard to say it properly, but sometimes is frustrating XD They try to call you by the right name, but they just keep on making up some random names that have nothing to do with your name XD The thing is: I think that if I can be respecful and pronounce their names the way they sound in their native language, they can do the same, I mean, it won't kill them to at least try XD But, yeah, they don't understand you, so you spell it and then say it again and they just repeat it, but their way LOL
