I am having what my 1st grade teaching sister calls Big Feelings about it lol, im so excited to see the season and all the non reader reactions, they help me understand and feel better about the changes!!
This series is absolutely “coming home”. It’s such a comfort show. I tagged you on Bluesky when I shared this video. I made a thread of reactions, so you may be getting a few extra notifications.😬 The videos under yours are other nonreaders, so they should be safe to watch. The interview with Rafe, Josha, and Maddie are near the top of the thread.
Trust me the training snippet made all of the book fans very happy as well, Robert Jordan does an awesome job describing these scenes with Lan and Rand. Can’t wait to see your reactions next March
Welcome back to WOT. This was a teaser trailer mostly focusing on Rand/Morraine. I think we'll get another trailer as the time approaches which focusses more on Nynaeve/Elayne/Perrin.
Hey, nice react, the hype is real 😅. There are 14 books and 1 prequel in the series. This season is mostly going over book 4 plotlines with probably some sprinkles of book 5 and maybe 11, depending on how they condense the story. Cant wait 😊
Hahahaha my reaction to Moiraine’s vision/prediction was also “well, at least she’s telling Lan.” 😂 I have to wonder if she’s going to pull a Gandalf at some point, but I would be a little surprised if it was this early in a supposedly 8 season series. I’m also excited to see some full group scenes and more Moiraine and Rand together. And I’m actually really interested to see what Liandrin does this season. Can’t believe we’re getting this so soon as well!
There are 14 books in the series and 1 prequel. The showrunner has said he's outlined 8 seasons so there's a ton of stuff that will be compressed even if he manages to get all 8 sessons greenlit. Love your reactions!
As a one time reader I love seeing your excitement for the show. Also I think it’s wonderful that you saw Hadestown. I am in US and have only seen an excerpt of Donal and a co-star singing which was my first time hearing his singing voice. He is so talented! Again, love your reactions to WOT. Looking forward to them this next season. 💛
EEEEH so happy you decided to make a quick impromptu video! So happy that you seem to really like the show, and based on the clips (and what's in the books) this has the potential to be one heck of a season!
First thing I did this morning was run over here to see if you had a reaction to the teaser. I'm always impressed by what you notice as a non-book reader! Season 3 looks like it's going to be quite a ride, doesn't it?
I absolutely LOVE that you picked up so quickly on how big of a deal it is for Moiraine to be this open with Lan, and the growth that shows in their relationship after S2. Many book reader reactions basically just didn't notice that, or at least didn't care to point it out. To me, it shows how sometimes, coming in with book expectations and spending all your mental energy judging how it matches up blinds you to the emotional core of what is actually happening on screen. Which is all to say: thanks for giving us show-only reactions and perspectives!! They are so valuable in helping us book readers appreciate everything the show is trying to do for non-readers, which is after all the vast majority of the audience the show needs in order to get greenlit through to the end of the story. I'll definitely be hyping myself up in the lead-up to S3 by watching all of your WoT back catalog!
Just a word of warning to Joy that even if Dusty Wheel is very good at calling out the level of spoilers, atm in their livestream they are very much full season spoilers level where they talk of what scenes will be in the season compared to what might have been reworked, compressed moved elsewhere or just cut out for time. I do think that the Innkeepers should have an episode where they call up some of the non-reader reactors to get their point of view on the show!
@@Ferdawoon We have had at least one of those. TDW had EDN on for a show, and we did behave ourselves. As I have said elsewhere, first time readers/watchers are precious to us.
"if she spent this season having a bath and a picnic I would support that wholeheartedly" Ahahahahahahahaha Just .... This comment is hilarious, knowing the books 😂
I've read the books (13 of them!) many times, and I've been binge-watching book-readers' reactions to the trailer - so it's a delight to see your reaction. There's one shot in particular which brings squees of joy from those of us who know the books, but which is almost unnoticed by those who don't. I love this. I love your excitement. I will spoil nothing, except to say ... brace yourself. They're really returning to the books with this season, and STUFF happens. It's going to be amazing.
Yes, from the information I have heard this season will mostly cover book four with some stuff from book 3 and 5 brought into it. Book 4, The Shadow Rising, is one of my favorite books of all time and is a consensus fan favorite. I have a soft spot for Perrin's plot in this book. You're in for a treat!
So looking forward to the show! Looking at it as something different as the books and it is great to see scenes from the books on the screen. Rhuidean is awesome! Hope you'll enjoy it even more than S1 and S2. Can't wait for your reaction!
So hyped for the new season. Currently reading Book 3. Want more Maksim (Alana’s bearded warder) in the new season. Also (although late in the series), I hope they show Lan using his color-shifting cloak. They never established in Season 1 that he had one.
How many books are there in the series? So yeh they are adapting mostly book 4 in Season 3, and I guess they might add some bits and bobs from Book 5 to set things up for future seasons if they feel it helps witgh pacing.. There are 14 books in the series, with one prequel novel (that was ment to turn into a trilogy but the author passed away) and three companion books with maps and drawings and info on the different cultures. Someone did the math that the 14 books, the prequel and two of the companion books total about 4.4 million words which means it's about the length of "A Song of Ice and FIre (up to and including Book 5 at the time they did the math), full series of "Harry Potter", full series of "Lord of the Rings", "Bilbo" and "Silmarillion", plus "War and Peace" and "The Holy Bible" combined!
There are a lot of major elements shown in this trailer that has the book readers all kinds of hyped.

I found your channel back when you started reacting to WoT and I’m glad you still enjoy it and will keep going.

Always love your reactions! Much sharper than the other ones I see. And better at remembering names, whatever you say!
YAY! So happy to see your reaction, I can't wait for Season 3!!!
Great reaction. Can't wait to see season 3, the trailer looks so good.
As a book reader I was laughing out loud, when you referred to Egwene having some naps. Enjoy what you will find out!

All the fans lovingly call the Aiel, Ginger Ninjas, in case you forget them again!!😂
I've been told by UK fans of WoT that in the UK the G word is a slur. Please reconsider using it.
Cant wait 4 yoir reaction of season 3. Book 4 is when the series picks up and becomes THE WHEEL OF TIME ❤
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 yes yes yes you are back with WOT 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Commenting for the algorithm
You’re reaction was an absolute joy to watch! I agree so much with all your thoughts
I think you might have actually beat LezbiNerdy to the reaction video! The power of timezones?
The healer who was banished from his party is in fact the strongest
"if she spent this season having a bath and a picnic I would support that wholeheartedly"

Welcome back and buckle up, so much WoT awesomeness is headed our way! I too will be rewatching Season 1 and 2 (again) to get ready! 🎉🎉

Great video ❤ Season 3 will be amazing 🤩
Yay!! So excited for this show and your takes 😊
I wish we could wrap your little denial bubble in a soft blanket and hold you close when you watch S3 😂
Hey hey!! Welcome to the Hype train!!!
They got that extra s3 budget

Great combination of fantasy books! 🤔😜😱😆
Lan should have ben training him from the start but better late than never. They are going to be in the Aiel Waste. Pretty epic part of the books.
oh hey! 😊
many good scenes from the books it seems the combine book 3 4 and 5
Aiel!
"Who is that handsome man?" ...very very good casting is who.
If you react, the WoT community will come. Looking forward to it!
Where did Moiraine have these visions?
Good question. You'll have to WAFO (watch and find out) to know.
14 books and a prequel but don’t read the prequel first. Last or after book 10 is best
