I really like the great hammer on mercenary Kruber. His melee sped buffs seem to make your party feel like they have plenty of room to breathe and focus on the elites while you spank heavy attacks.
Which is better for a two-handed hammer, Rock Breaker or Grudge-Borne? I'm fairly new to the game. I just saw the video explaining the level 15 talents, so I'm using Smiter.
How do you get those purple shiny illusions, I've got some blue ones from red weapons but no purples, is it just a rare drop on red weapons or do you need WoM?
They are weapon skins from the bogenhafen dlc. You can get them in the shop if you own it. Blue ones come from just getting red items though. Once you have the illusion you can apply either to a weapon.

This literal exact setup has been my go-to since the bbb. Warpick can also work great since the pistols set you up to snipe elites with super heavies!

Killing blows would probably be your best bet, but both would work nicely.
