ORANGE & CINNAMON MARGARITA (aka Cinnamon Girl, Death & Co.)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 13 сен 2019
- The Cinnamon Girl is essentially an Orange & Cinnamon Margarita served over crushed ice. The combination of crushed ice and orange juice makes for a softer Margarita with less tang and acidity compared with a classic Margarita. The reposado tequila and gold rum bring subtle notes of oak and vanilla from aging whilst cinnamon adds a nice touch of spice. A perfect winter Margarita from the Death and Co. Cocktail Book.

Fantastic video again Steve. I've kind of made something similar before (as in an orange and cinnamon margarita) but never used rum. I think that's an interesting twist and would love to try it this way.

This sounds like exactly what I need to make now.
Not bad but I'd up the intensity of the cinnamon! p.s. did you notice the orange bitters was empty!? ;)

I now know this too! 😝
1:42 Steve's a wizard, confirmed.
Magic man!
We make a gorgeous orange cocktail in our bar called Lady Marmalade. Definitely worth a try.
Lady Marmalade.
1. Grey Goose L'Orange 35ml
2. Cointreau 10ml
3. lemon juice 20ml
4. Simple Syrup 10ml
5. Homemade marmalade 1 bar spoon.
Shaken and double strained. Served in tumbler glass, garnished with a dried blood orange slice. Top with couple of dashes of vanilla or orange bitters.
Sounds gorgeous! Will be sure to try this
Someone gave me a bottle of Fireball as a gift and I was never sure what to do with it until I ran across a cocktail recipe for an apple pie drink made from fresh juice from honeycrisps apples. It was so good but I’ve wanting to experiment with it more and this just reminded me of it. Could you do a few fall recipes using Fireball?
I don't have any Fireball :(
I think Christmas will taste like cinnaman girl this year
Haha - invite her to Christmas day!
ممتاز
Have you made a video featuring a golden margherita??
It's getting a bit autumny over here in the other end of Earth, so I'll be making these this evening for me and the missus. I think I'll try replacing the cinnamon syrup with Fireball, see if that might give it a bit more character (I don't have any cinnamon sticks, so making a syrup is a bit hard right now). It'll probably let me drop the simple out too, but we'll see.
Nice tweak! How did they turn out?
Plans changed a bit, but maybe tonight!
Alright, finally tried it and it worked a treat, at least in my opinion. She prefers a little drier drinks, so I cut back the simple to just a dash (about 5ml), and put in 15ml of Fireball instead of cinnamon syrup. And then I proceeded to make a mess out of the whole thing with my inadequate ice crushing skills/equipment
So for the next one, I just poured it over a big rock, I prefer slightly sweeter drinks so I kept the simple and upped the rum to 15ml, and it balanced better for my taste. Fireball adds a bit of whiskey flavor and the added rum made sure the rum didn't completely vanish. On the upside, my not-so-high-quality 'gold' tequila has a pretty strong flavor, so it stood up well to the competition, without overtly shining through.
I'll be making more of these as winter comes.
Sounds good Finwolven! Thanks for the feedback - I since had 3 or more people asking if they could use Fireball too!
Steve, where do you get the bottles you have your juice/syrup in? Amazon??
I buy them from a local shop in Adelaide, Australia..
I'm a little late watching this. Cinnamon....I wonder what this would taste like with cinnamon spirits in place of the rum...I will get you a bottle of cinnamon schnapps one day, but I imagine it would work with fireball or any of the other cinnamon flavored spirits as well. 😄
Someone else in the comments did mention they were about to try it with Fireball - waiting for their feedback to see how it goes :)
A great tequila shot variation is to lick cinnamon, do the shot, and finish with an orange wedge (or shot of oj)👍🏼
Never had cinnamon with tequila. Might have to try that🤔
Next day off this is being made.
Enjoy Dan!
where do you get the bottles for your syrups ?
I get them locally (in Australia)... it's an online store called Gala Imports.
3rd! I like this a lot, sounds delicious!
Is delicious >_
Hey Steve, do you have any cool drinks that include Jägermeister? Thanks in advance, keep up the good work!
I need to grab myself a bottle - pretty sure I’m all out 😌 soon...
@@StevetheBartender_ can't wait! :)
Dear Steve I didn't have all the all the ingredients that you have so I use these ingredients: Olmeca ALTOS Tequila Agave, James Harbor Gold Rum, a tad Star Anise grounded, a tad powder sugar and Old Fashion Aromatic Bitters from Fee Brother. Let me know how it works.
If you can get a hold of some fresh limes and make yourself a simple syrup then you are good to go!
Fucking love you man. Coming from an American service member. Would absolutely love a response ❤️❤️🙏🏻
Being from an NY bar, I wonder if this is a reference to the original version, or the (NY native) Type O Negative version?
How does the original version go?
@@Barprints lyrics, or music? I don't think type changed too much in the lyrics of their cover, but difference in musical style was rather extreme
Try adding 15ml of rum and update us. Still same measure of tequila and other ingredients.
You didn't add the angostura bitter in the video, I feel scammed 3:07
I don’t know what you are talking about...... 😳
Steve the Bartender I think it’s when you add the bitters Steve. You can’t see if any come out!!!
Lee Clarke haha, I knew exactly what he was talking about - I ran out 🤣
Steve the Bartender 😂😂😂
Not to sound like a luddite, but they made a margarita for a reason.........
Hey? You mean that they made a Margarita for hot weather? Eh? I'm lost >_
No more lost than me..... LOL
Why the name 😂

Next it will be an icepick and Sharon stone.
Wonder if Cat will come out to do that one?🤔😂
Hi guys my name is Steve the bartender and I do an incredible vlog on cocktails and like...its always good and my wife gives me pointers and she's a total babe. anyways. love these videos. Steve and wife DM me plz. great video as always.
Sorry if this is a stupid question but does it have to be the Reposado Tequila or would any tequila do? Also, is Gold Rum the same as Spiced Rum? I'm still learning all my alcohols, being Polish we mostly know vodka and beer :P
You can use any good tequila, it will just change some of the flavours.. reposado means rested - it’s spent some time on oak which imparts those flavours..
gold rum is different to spiced rum - spiced rum has the addition of spices and/or flavourings (vanilla, citrus, caramel, etc.)..
@@StevetheBartender_ maybe you could do a video listing out the basic and more advanced liquors that people might want to stock that are commonly and rarely used (if that makes sense). Just a video idea tbh
