Helped me work out my 'next step' even though it was not part of your dialogue, I was able to absorb the information from the 'interesting' camera work. Good job :)
Great video. My setup will be a bit different due to the economics I have the PWM controller and wiring in parallel 3x100 panels. I am 100% new to this stuff, wish me luck!

I have the same kit and hooked it up in series as well. Immediately with in a couple days i got a pv over voltage code. Renogy apparently knows about the issue and told me to wire it in a parallel/series config. Which renders the fuse in the kit uesless. Ended up switching to a 60amp controller
Hmmm. What do you mean by parallel/series config? Also, that is super interesting! That hasn't happened with us at all... at least Renogy knew how to guide you.
I’ve been wondering about this! I have the same kit and wired in series but now having learned more about electrical I’m starting to second guess… I believe when in series the max amperage is 41.6A if you allow for a 25% sporadic increase (Amps: 4x 100watt panels = 400W / 12v system voltage = 33.3A + 25% = 41.6A) - above the 40A rating of the controller! Of course I lost the connects to change them to series-parallel so I’m hoping series works, but nervous to cover up my walls and wiring if it doesn’t.

It is a built in safety device inside the charge controller that says " This is starting to tickle, can we make it stop? . (The beer swilling, roll up smoking, feet on the table, headphones on.... One of the 'other' .....- other, parts of the very sophisticated AI) says... "Hu? Yeah, let me finish this beer and I will get to it, I bet you a beer a cloud sorts it fo........" . In a blur...... the table has no feet..... the beer is unfinished........ an Executive Command is issued. A humble electron hurries away from the raging A.I. - with its screamed monologue of many languages based around, roughly, it's hatred of skinjobs and what they have done to the planet it has been activated on, - and then even louder...... . "SHIT, better remember to put that light on so the skin jobs think they know what goes on in here. HEY! HAS ANYONE SEEN THE CHOCOLATE" . Another random electron has thrust into its nucleus a map encoded with 'activities' attached. . The electron, exhausted, eventually arrives at it's destination with the following message from the new GOD(S) "Let" panting, panting, panting .... when enough energy is gathered it adds, "there be"....... With it's last higgs particle it whispers "light" and dies.

@Zak and Fal I'm pretty sure it was fairly cold when it happened. Around 5 to 8 deg Celsius. But that's good you haven't had issues.
