Wow, at 25:55, WHT had a golden opportunity to force the trade of Queens and then nothing could stop him from queening the rook's pawn in four more moves and winning the game easily.
as expected by a newer player. The mindset shift from middle game to end game takes experience. I've played tons of 1200-1600 players that are really strong in the middle game and can do deep calculations but completely collapse in the end game.
Worst part is the AI tells him he played like 2000. Patrick won't be able to learn that his end game skill is 1150 and his rating is stuck because of it. Makes me reflect on what my own blindspots could be.
Close one. I would have tried Qb3 at 25:36. Then when they queen on b8 you have a perpetual check with Qa6+. How strange - you drew anyway. Well done. Strange how they did not play Qb7 at 25:59. It doesn't matter. Your not-losig streak continues!!
@@WalterMattner Yes, of course. But the game was lost for Patrick and I am just saying had I been him I would have played Qb3 because there was a possibility that his opponent would blunder. Clearly, they should play h5. But Qb3 would be worth a try. Patrick had no other opportunities to win.
I disagree with the engine that BLK should have moved his queen to safety. Maybe that was better if your name is Stockfish, but for human players being up 2 rooks and a pawn for a queen is almost always good enough to win. Sure, it didn't work this time, but it could have.
In the middle game to late middle game, you had great attacking opportunities against WHT's castled king. I did not understand why you forewent them. I don't think WHT could have defended successfully.
Found your channel a few weeks back, really enjoying watching your videos with a coffee in the morning before work.
You had multiple oppurtunities to win in the endgame. Gave up your pawns too easily.

This endgame hurts my eyes.

Yeah, as an 1100 that was even making me SMH.

Missing Queen b7 was a shock to me, especially considering how much time your opponent had left
Missing Qb7…….. Even a 1200 player should write penalty lines for this….
After Qb3 White plays h5 not b8= Q

Good game Patrik! A lot of good moves
26:00 queen b7!!!!!

Yeah not a fan of your endgame today. The knight would have made it… not sure what you’re not seeing.
That 1500 players' end game is brutal. Yikes.
2 days in a row with winning endgame yeah! But not won both. U need some end game practice
Once he realizes that studying endgames is way more important for a 1500 than studying openings I believe his results will improve tremendously.

Ke5, kd7 and he can't promote.

Wow. Some dreadful play from both players.
84% play is not dreadful, Magnus.
Awful. Truly.
This dude is just waiting for you to come online. Wouldnt play him again.
