So, i rewatched the first “It”remake and in the beginning when the kids are walking in the halls and pass the Bower’s gang, when Richie passes Hockstetter, Hockstetter licks his lips and smiles at him. That kinda made me think he was probably gay like Richie is and then watching the video you guys made about Bower’s gang, you confirmed that he was. Just thought it was cool how many minor details they put in that movie.
Cookie Kaspbrak I’m pretty sure it was sister idk but the reason that he killed her/him is because he thought that she/he gonna take all the attention and stuff I think Patric was about 6-8
It wasn't the sewers though. It was much deeper in some rocky pit (where it landed on earth). How were they supposed to carry a corpse out of that pit FAST, before the whole thing colapses? They also had to climb and crawl to reach this place.
I cried so many times during IT chapter 2. They done did Eddie dirty and left him in the crack head house. Poor Richie is freakin heart broken. Like,,, Dang you really didn't have to do it to 'em THAT hard.
Agreed. While I have read the novel and am anxiously waiting for It Chapter 2 as much as the next person, the analyses really provide way more insight into the characters than I could have ever imagined. They also make me appreciate Stephen King's work and Andy Muschietti's interpretation of IT even more.
I always thought that Richie was the de facto second-in-command of the losers. Whenever Bill struggled to convince his friends, it was Richie who backed him up...and of course he was the backup in the final ritual of chüd as well.
Richie's weakness is his eyes but his strength is in his ears and voice. Our senses can do amazing things when one of them is diminished. He has an ear for recalling exact sound, timbre, pitch for voices and through his hearing Richie excels. Rock and roll unites The Losers. Again hearing is Richie's salvation
unhornedUnicorn xX lol I didn’t see it I just got annoyed because people kept shipping the actors who played them together in real life but it’s actually kinda cute well Eddie and Richie
I always really liked Ritchie's character. In some ways, he was almost admirable. If you are only looking at his romantic preferences from the film, you're COMPLETELY missing the point. You HAVE to read the book. It wasn't just his sense of humor. In many ways, he was every bit as strong, or even stronger, than Bill; he just went about it in a different way. He used his strong personality as his asset. He was the one who wanted to look at Bill's photo album, he comforted Bill when Bill broke down, he accompanied Bill when they first visited 29 Neibolt (and helped Bill escape), he saw the images at the smoke hole, he didn't back down to Henry or his friends, he was almost passionate in taking on IT in her lair when they were kids ("lets get her Haystack!!") and finally he helped Bill take IT on in the 2nd Ritual of Chud as adults when Bill couldn't do it himself. On the surface Ritchie was this goof with bad jokes/impersonations, but he really was an integral hero in the story.
@@sidnew2739I think it's really interesting to posit that Ritchie was gay or bi, it gives him a more personal fear than just having bad eyesight and being bullied for his glasses. It's also interesting to consider that despite the intensity of their bonds, Ritchie clearly didn't feel safe admitting his sexuality to his best friends. Considering all they've been through, it sets up a potentially interesting tension between the others and the audience, "Why didn't he feel safe with them? What could have gone differently for Ritchie had he been open about it sooner?" There will always be the canon vs non-canon debate, but I think adding that layer of text to Ritchie's character opens up a lot of options for character work. It also allows the film makers to set their interpretation of the work as distinctly different from King's or the miniseries. Sort of how Kubrick's The Shining is inspired by, but very different from, King's "The Shining."
@@levimassey2207 I've partially read through It and haven't read any other of King's works, but don't you think it's absurd that a primordial being before us and our naming systems would be named Robert Gray? Please do the history of Eddie Kaspbrack next. The fact that his mother is close to having munchausen-by-proxy. She convinces her son that he's weak and sickly as well as trying to socially isolate him so that he will always depend on her and never leave.
@@acerose6017 not quite. Munchausen-by-proxy is when someone purposely makes someone (usually a child) physically ill (not psychosomatically ill like Eddie) in order to draw attention (sympathy) towards themselves
I know you probably got this suggestion already, but could you do a "History of" with Patrick Hockstetter from IT? He was such a disturbing character, but the people who've only seen the movies know next to little about him, but if you did a video on him, it would sure shine a light on those who don't know much. Loving this series so far btw, keep up the great work!
I'm slowly making a list of horror/thriller books and novels that I want to read. So far, IT is my number one. They also did Eddie dirty, leaving his body in the sewers. I know if Richie hadn't been held back, he would've gone back in a saved him.
I love your content, especially the Horror History. I thoroughly enjoy in the in-depth analysis of the characters and monsters. I would love to see one on either Reverend Lowe (Cycle of the Werewolf/ Silver Bullet.), Or the Marston House (Salem's Lot).
great analysis! I've read the book more times than I care to admit (read than I can count) and never caught the "seer" part he played the parts I would've loved to see were the tunnel that connected the adult and children's parts of the library and the battle between bowers and Mike, ll Ben ends up or him and Eddie, the wall Ben ends up on past the headlights, the canal where Eddie Cochoran's little brother talks to him and tries to pull him in the creature from the black lagoon chasing the kid in the park, and I'd completely forgotten that Jack Epping showed up in Derry though I've read both books(as well as every other Stephen King book) as well as a lot of the Derry history with the loggers' bar fights
No one: Not a single soul: Not even Satan himself: Stephen king: when you low key ship Richie x Bill but you also ship Bill x Beverly but you ALSO ship Beverly x Ben so you start shipping Richie x Eddie but you know that Eddie is going to die, and you don't have anyone to ship Stan with so you just decide to give everyone the fan service they want and make an orgy.
Richie tried to bring Eddie with them. But Bill said they had to leave him. So Richie set Eddie down and kissed him before running away with the others. They were in love😭 I hope it's cannon in chapter 2.
Love your tie because it's got the same pattern as the carpet in the overlook hotel in Stephen King's the Shining. Excellent analysis. I loved the book but enjoyed the films take on Richie and Eddie.
Please do a video for Patrick Hocksetter! After the psychological breakdown you did of Stan I'm dying to hear what you would say about Patrick! Pleeeeease!

I like this HorrorHistory thing. You could also do short videos for other horror movie characters or about the history of specific monsters from movies. It is a good move to start with the much anticipated sequel to IT since there's so much data to condense down.

Richie is a fucking legend! No one disrespects the legend of Derry.
Why couldn't they just carry eddies body to the surface 😔
they would’ve died
Its the gacha pfp for me-
learning about Richie is better then spending 25 mins doing homework.
Loving this series of videos! On top of all the other requests I wanna put in my request for just a History of Derry. I would love to see you explain the history of the town, especially post-It.
Me: *Clicks on video*
“. . . Andy Muschietti?”
Richie: doesn’t smell like caca to me señor
Me: ha ha I do that
He he doesn’t put ads in the middle of the video, he puts it when it blacks out bless this man
Is that tie the shinings carpet floor pattern that Danny was playing on?
Greganthony Smithen yes 10/10 Easter egg
Your channel is by far the best!! Keep up the amazing work because you are doing so well! Big fan❤️
Thanks Maddie!
Richie is my favourite character he’s funny does great Voice impressions and “ Is she hot?”
No Richie. She's not hot.
Please do the history of Eddie Kaspbrack next. The fact that his mother is close to having munchausen-by-proxy. She convinces her son that he's weak and sickly as well as trying to socially isolate him so that he will always depend on her and never leave.
Cooper Minion I thinks it’s confirmed that she did
@@acerose6017 not quite. Munchausen-by-proxy is when someone purposely makes someone (usually a child) physically ill (not psychosomatically ill like Eddie) in order to draw attention (sympathy) towards themselves
This is the definition of 'worth watching' great work brother
Words cannot express how thankful I am for you making these videos
I know you probably got this suggestion already, but could you do a "History of" with Patrick Hockstetter from IT? He was such a disturbing character, but the people who've only seen the movies know next to little about him, but if you did a video on him, it would sure shine a light on those who don't know much. Loving this series so far btw, keep up the great work!
I'm slowly making a list of horror/thriller books and novels that I want to read. So far, IT is my number one.
They also did Eddie dirty, leaving his body in the sewers. I know if Richie hadn't been held back, he would've gone back in a saved him.
You should do a comp that could be a couple hours that's the entire story of the dark universe or just IT.
I love your videos so much, the are the most complete, informative and entertaining among all of the same kind. Keep up the great work!
This channel explains the characters so well. I understand the book and movies so much more..
I love your content, especially the Horror History. I thoroughly enjoy in the in-depth analysis of the characters and monsters. I would love to see one on either Reverend Lowe (Cycle of the Werewolf/ Silver Bullet.), Or the Marston House (Salem's Lot).
*Finn Wolfhard is the reason I’m still living*
Your pathetic lol

I really wanted to watch the history of Stan but I’m worried that the painting woman is in that video and she gave me nightmares! I need answers!
Wow, Richie is a really interesting character. He has a cool history! Oh, by the way, you've just earned a new subscriber. I love your content man!
“BEEP! BEEP! RICHIE BEEP! BEEP! >:•D”-Pennywise(Tim Curry)
great analysis!
You should also listen to the audiobook narrated by Steven Weber
*HORROR HISTORY! THE ONLY HISTORY I WANT TO LEARN! (Especially when it’s told by you)*
.
What?
You were so close! You should have waited for chapter two to come out and had more footage of the characters
Whether it's as lovers or just great friends, Reddie is amazing and will always be
No one:
Not a single soul:
Not even Satan himself:
Stephen king: when you low key ship Richie x Bill but you also ship Bill x Beverly but you ALSO ship Beverly x Ben so you start shipping Richie x Eddie but you know that Eddie is going to die, and you don't have anyone to ship Stan with so you just decide to give everyone the fan service they want and make an orgy.
WAIT!
What about Mike
Promptis Narusasu am I the only one that kinda likes Mike x bill it’s kinda cute (if you watch it chapter two 2019 you will get me)
Mike needs more love
I agree and Bill x Mike as well as stan x Mike are both really cute but Mike in general is not given enough attention and it's unfortunate
Thank for doing a richie video
So I need a video like this for Beverly, Eddie and Ben
Richie tried to bring Eddie with them. But Bill said they had to leave him. So Richie set Eddie down and kissed him before running away with the others.
They were in love😭
I hope it's cannon in chapter 2.
I know right aaa
@@teamo8474 Sounds sad 😣 but they had to choose between carryng a death corpse or someone that can be saved. It was the rigth choice.
Love your tie because it's got the same pattern as the carpet in the overlook hotel in Stephen King's the Shining. Excellent analysis. I loved the book but enjoyed the films take on Richie and Eddie.
richie's story is so well thought out
Please do a video for Patrick Hocksetter! After the psychological breakdown you did of Stan I'm dying to hear what you would say about Patrick! Pleeeeease!
I like the fact the Stephen King includes Native items because Most books dont include or mention Natives because I'm native
Eating candy before Halloween ur a savage
Shut your red ant ass up
@Casualcat64 Playzz I found a racist.
@Casualcat64 Playzz it wasn't very funny.
@Casualcat64 Playzz What was the punchline of the joke?
Love this video! I agree with you; I think that would’ve been absolutely hilarious to see Richie and the cab driver. Loved your trash mouth to trash mouth comment. LOL! Great job!
whenever this guy laughs or makes a joke i find it so heartwarming for some reason
I like this HorrorHistory thing. You could also do short videos for other horror movie characters or about the history of specific monsters from movies. It is a good move to start with the much anticipated sequel to IT since there's so much data to condense down.
