as an indigenous man (Lakota/Dakota) I love my indigenous sisters, we must protect them at all costs. Creator was showing off when he created our indigenous women.
I just discovered this and WOW. I am a Fusion Belly Dancer, not a very good one I am still learning. The foot work and physicality of all these dancers is amazing. I still trip over my own feet sometimes. I wish I had a tenth of their skill and ability. Just amazing.
Thanks for watching Daisy! A lot of these dancers started performing when they were small children. If you ever get the chance to visit the pow wow, they have a tiny tots category, and the kids are very cute! Our elders also perform, in the Golden age category. You can visit www.powwows.com to find a pow wow nearby, everyone is welcomed
Fancy Dancer's are My My Favorite !!! Thanks, Chrissie! I'm glad you enjoyed it! This was from 2022's spotlight dancing. I recorded 2023 spotlight dancing from the same pow wow! You can find it on my channel somewhere 😁
This is so wonderful, thank you so much for sharing this experience! My mother and I used to go to the pow wows near us when I was younger, but we have not been to one in a very long time. I felt that same feeling of pure joy in my chest watching this and hearing the drums and bells and seeing such incredibly beautiful dancing ❤
@@IndigenousEventRecordings I was at the very end haha. It’s all good I haven’t been dancing as long as these awesome guys have. It was a blast to see it in person man’s what the greats do what they do best.
3rd men fancy dancer rocked the arena. Had the ladies lilling. Keep up the good work. Hoped he placed. Made me miss the OG mens fancy. Don’t know none of these young dancers. Good video.
Some amazingly fast tempo with dancers who kept apace with it in creatively designed regalia. Great camera work framing dancers well. So good I almost felt like I was there! Thank you.
Thank you, Aaron, for sharing this and your effort! Love the Pow Wow! It's so uplifting and fun! Also interesting to watch it at night. It is helpful if you share the location. I checked on the internet and it was held in Scottsdale, Arizona. Helpful to have more info from the organizer, such as the community, history of this Pow Wow, as many people watching it are not in your area. Found on the Internet that this is the largest traditional Pow Wow in Arizona. For next time, I suggest showing the Drummers and Singers if feasible, even for a few minutes in the video. Sending love and peace from Toronto, Canada, on the same Turtle Island! 🥰
@@IndigenousEventRecordings Hello Aaron! Thank you for your prompt reply and openness! Yes. Maybe add community name, town, state, country name in video description.
