I have one like that. Just bought her. 25K Miles. In California. In love with her.

I have owned one exactly for 4 years and 30,000 miles and gave no plans to sell. . I especially like the warning light for low tire pressure, but I am not too happy about changing those little light bulbs 💡 so I let the dealer do it. It is tall, heavy and comfortable, which makes it a little top heavy when making slow u-turns, but the comfort is worth it.

I like the touring design (I like most touring motorcycles actually) but the wet weight for around 571 lbs scares me as a beginning rider. Great thing on the R1200 RT is I think seat height can be lowered to around 29... that I would be able to flat foot. (short people problems)

you can get the RT down to a comfortable height for you. They do have a little weight, but they're really well balanced so you don't feel all the weight.

I decided on the Yamaha FJR 1300 2012 model it was 25 grand new registered on the road ride away here in Australia 🦘🌏 iv put just over 130 thousand kilometres on her and still going strong like brand new iv had earlier model BMW's R series R80RT and R100RS and the K 100RT which was a very comfortable long distance tourer the only problem was the pretty soft mag wheels which bent on our outback Australian roads the front wheel rim had to be rolled in Brisbane Queensland back in the early 90s my only other issue was there pretty expensive to be serviced plus my headlight was smashed by a rock which was thrown up from being behind a large truck and trailer i only had high beam it wasn't cheap to be fixed the whole front fairing had to be removed so make sure you buy or get a headlight protector maybe thrown in or fitted they really are worth having when touring
