God caused the kingdom of Israel to split into 2 kingdoms the northern kingdom went off into idolatry wich is why the Southern kingdom called them gentiles.

So again when the 10 tribes went off into Idolatry they became as the gentiles (non Israel) In Deuteronomy 28:15-68 Moses tells Israel we would return to slavery as we was in Egypt if we did not keep his commandments. This is the Transatlantic and subsuharan slave trades. Deuteronomy 28:45
“Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee,.....And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.”

This was a masterful Bible study! It certainly answered the question of who Israel really is. I was really blessed by this sermon and I'm sure others are as well knowing that we don't have to look to literal Israel or even Christians as the people of God. All we have to do is look to Jesus and put our trust in what He already did!

God doesn't discriminate he sees us as his. Man created racial discrimination with the help of lucifer. Gods love is color blind. He loves us all whether we r black white red or yellow. Besides we all bleed what color, oh red. The same as what Christ shed during the scorging and crucifiction as he sacrificed himself for all of mankind. We all have been given the right to be the children of God. All we have to do is seek his truth, repent and be baptized. Salvation isn't a racist thing it comes from Gods love for us. Get over the racist thing it doesn't belong. Racism is hatred and ugly, but with Gods help it can b diminished.
The Bible itself tells us that Israel means he who wrestles with God!!
Don't we wrestle with God when the Holy Spirit wrestles with us to overcome sin, but we keep resisting?
Speaking to a captive audience, it is easy to offer the idea that the 'servant' spoken of is Israel... Suggest that to those outside our faith paradigm and they would declare the servant as being the Messiah. One would struggle to convince them otherwise.

Methinks that David genuinely believes that Jacob "prevailed" in his wrestling match with God. Interesting notion, but I can accept that he believes he. I cannot. In my view, you might wrestle all night with God if He chooses not to obliterate you, but you do NOT prevail over Him unless He allows it!! MY Father is all powerful, after all. :-) But anyway... God allowed Jacob to stay in the fight because Jacob didn't give up. Then God changed his name to Israel, which means "he wrestles with God." Very appropriate, for a God who tends to change people's names, isn't it? ;-)
Jacob prevailed SPIRITUALLY , not physically. He overcame his SIN, and was forgiven. He admitted his guilt, and was then FORGIVEN. He prevailed with God by obtaining that forgiveness. He gained the victory over his sin. That's what he is saying.

God has not cast away his people. The covenant IS still with Judah, but note that others who accept the covenant are joined to it. It is available by FAITH now to EVERYONE. Gentiles can be grafted into "Israel" now, and become part of Israel. Even in the Old Testament, if a "stanger" was willing to become circumcised, he was as if he was born an Israelite.
Isreal is not "new", but it is "expanded" to not include just genetic Israelites. The disciples were Israelites. The only way for anyone to have salvation is to be joined to Christ, so yes, Christ fulfills what Isreal is supposed to be. It doesn't matter if you are genetic or not, if you don't have victory over sin, you can't claim to be an Isrealite, because you don't fit the description. You need to be wrestling with God, and overcoming sin, and fitly representing God. Jesus said not to think that because you have Abraham as your father, that you are special. Adam and Noah weren't even genetic Israelites, so will they be saved?

According to the Bible (history), the Israelites could only have been black, the location and time frame are great clues w/o making any reference to color. With that being said, Israelites aren't the "chosen people" because we are black, we just happen to be black.... the curses fit this people like a glove. We were chosen because of our forefathers and are supposed to be bring the word honestly and truthfully, to the world! True, there are plenty of nations of people that have suffered, been enslaved and have had genocide, but none like this group of people. Whites will say, our own people sold us into slavery....we indeed looked like them and were able to blend in/ hide amongst them (other Africans), but they knew we were not of their nation(s). Ham is the progenitor of the dark races, except the Negro, which was fathered by Shem, which Abraham comes out of. Although, we may resemble the seed of Ham, they knew we were of a different nation and sold us into slavery and helped capture us. With that being said, Afro-hispanics, Afro Indians, Afro Asians and anywhere you may find us scattered are Israelites. I feel the verbiage used when describing Israelites needs to be correct, because to say Mexicans/Puerto Ricans are Israelites is false. If they are Afro Mexicans/Puerto Rican's etc then there is a great chance they are, we all know there are white and black in those nations, therefore they cannot all be included, same goes for blacks, not all of us are Israelites, some of us are the seed of Ham. It is wonderful that we are waking up, so what are we to do now?! God chose us to bring the word to the Gentiles, the way he intended, we have to turn back to him, read, study and pray for understanding when bringing the word, otherwise we are held guilty. Through correct bringing of the word, God will be pleased, he will accept those that accept him and his word as truth! Many Israelites won't make it to the Kingdom just the same as Gentiles, but please don't think a Gentile with truth and understanding won't be accepted into the Kingdom! It comes down to whomever's heart and deeds show it! Remember he is going to purge from the wilderness too!

Once the Law and the Prophets were fulfilled in Jesus (49:12 is where he finished saying that) they passed away by being nailed to the crossed. I am no longer ruled by the Law because Jesus got rid of the Old Covenant and gave me a New Covenant... and a far better one, IMHO. :-) The Old Law was a Law of sin and death, as lamented by Paul in Romans chapter 7, but the New Law is much more forgiving, as long as we try and ask for forgiveness for our shortcomings.
So look at it this way.
You are pulled over for running a traffic light but the in court the judge said I am going to give you a grace period. And then he said that you owe no fine.
But when you are heading home from court, you the pulled over for running the same traffic light.
But when the cop states that he is going to give you a ticket, you start saying that he is wrong. You said that you are under grace! And that light no longer applies to you bc of the grace period.
We!I by that logic. why not just remove the traffic light from the wire.
The scripture says that sin is the transgression of the law.
You see the law states that the penalties for sin is death.
And the requirements for everlasting life has been obedience to the commandments of God.
And if you believe the law is only for the news and they are actually nailed to the cross, you are unaware that the Mosaic Law was nailed to the cross bc it was a law of cleansing. They were given to point them to Christ who was the person that would clean all sinners who believe.
It doesn't mention in the bible that Christ had to be cleansed from his sins bc he was without sin.
So when we read about how sin is the transgression of the law we can be certain that the law is referring to the ten commandments.

A small correction - Jews were not Israel. Other words, kingdom of Judah was not Israel. In 70 AD it was the end of Kingdom of Judah.
Israel was dissolved long ago.
However James directs his epistle to 12 tribes dispersed. Israel was given the new start in Christ.

My personal interpretation is that WE are ISRAEL, as believers in Jesus! We are grafted into the family of God, and therefore, ISRAEL. Also, he mentions here, that the rapture is made up? I don't think so!! If you really study Revelations, you will see that Jesus is returning for his bride, his church, his ISRAEL!
Yes, Jesus is coming for believers after the tribulation, it's written in Matthew.
Hi. Yes, we believe that Jesus is returning for his church, but it just won't be a secret quiet rapture. It will be with a shout, and a trumpet, and the dead in the graves will hear his voice and rise up. Then, we will be caught up in the air. Paul also states that that day does not take us unawares, because we are children of light.
2 Thes 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the *trump* of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 THEN we which are alive and remain shall be caught up [this is the "rapture"]together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

It's nice to read the other comments and see that God Chosen People (Blacks, Native Americans, and Mexicans) are finally waking up to the truth and needs to turn back to the Laws, Statues, and Commandments of "The Most High". In your quote of Matt 5;17... you leave out a crucial part which tends to negate your whole hypothesis namely "18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled"
a)Heaven and Earth have not passed away.
b) Earlier you say God was looking for a man to take over where Adam, Noah and Israel failed. Are you trying to say that God Himself needed to find Jesus to fulfill this role? In Is 53 Jesus has already been introduced as the Meshiach, which neither Adam nor Noah nor Israel (Jacob) ever intended to be, so your logic is somewhat skewed here as well.
In Rom 11 it states concerning the nation of Israel "11 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

The o\point is the nation of Israel has a separate calling, one which there is no need to eliminate as you seem to try and do.
In Romans 11:25 "For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in." Here God Himself has determined that for the Gentile believers to have access to the Kingdom of God a God ordained spiritual blindness has come unto the nation of Israel, for if they had accepted Jesus as the Messiah the FIRST TIME, then only Jews would have access. It was God's plan to allow Gentiles to be grafted in so that all would have access.
So while I find your dissertation on Revelation of John totally outstanding and a work of God breathing through you, I find this aspect wanting. However, unlike your recommendation namely "If you find a Pastor misquoting the Bible, then don't come back" , I think you are worth listening to.
It was not a God ordained spiritual blindness that occurred. It was a self-imposed blindness on the part of Israel. Your statement contradicts itself. ft it was God's plan and desire that only Jews have access, why would He then want to blind them? Additionally, they were chosen to SPREAD THE GOSPEL, not to be the only ones to have salvation. This verse is only stating the RESULT of that blindness.

This is what God wanted; SALVATION FOR ALL THE EARTH.

Paul is clearly saying that God has not forsaken Israel bc he himself was of Israel. But if you had continued it says that they can be grafted back in. But they can only be able to do this by placing their faith in Christ. The idea of them still being able to be saved without having this faith is false and misleading. It is basically saying that God is a liar. And it would make Jesus Christ as well bc he said that none can come to the father except by him.

Actually he said to spread the gospel to Jew first and then to the Gentile. A Jew is a descendant of Judah, a son of Jacob(who God renamed Israel)

In other words, the prophecy for Israel had not expired yet. Once Stephen was stoned, and the nation sealed their rejection of Christ, they were done as a literal nation. 34AD. Jesus clearly cursed the fig tree, which represented the literal nation of Israel, and said that it would not bear anymore fruit FOR EVER. Gospel is now available to ALL by FAITH. "Israel" is spiritual now, Paul is clear that anyone is grafted in by faith.

If so, they how do we know it doesn't have a 3rd or 4th application?
