We have lived here for 4 months now, and we are very happy with the place. The gardeners and security do a good job and are friendly and helpful. Your video showcased the place well I think :)
I enjoy how real your videos are. My wife and I will be coming to Puerto Morelos in the next month or two and are studying youtube videos for as much info as we can find as we are probably going to get an airbnb and just kind of wing it and explore. Where in Minnesota are you from? We lived in Ashland Wi. most of our lives and moved to Florida a few years ago. just curious and wanted to say we appreciate your videos
thank you so much! We are sure you will love PM as much as we do! We are from a small town near Rochester MN. Maybe we will run into to our and about while you are here.
It depends on the landlord. We rent for $16000 pesos per month. We have a larger covered patio and direct access to the pool. I know others that pay less.
you are right, not alot of loungers, you can bring your own and yes it is shaded all day. There is one spot that gets sun from about 12 to 2 and it goes quickly.
The beach is about a 5 minute taxi ride. You can also rent a bike or use the collectivo. Taxis to the beach are about 40 pesos currently which is $2 USD.
I enjoy all your videos and have been to Puerto Morelos last year. Can you recommend to me how to get a rental such as yours for the same rent or less or put me in touch with a reliable agency? Keep the travel videos coming, they're great!
Just curious why do the houses have bars on the doors and windows what's the rent? the area looks like you'll need transportation to get to the grocery store+ thks houses look nice and spacious!
From what we have seen. it is normal in Mexico for the houses to have bars on the doors and windows. I suspect this is for safety purposes although we have never had an issue. if you like walking, the grocery store is about a 15 to 20 min walk to Chedraui. Super Aki is closer more like 5 to 10 min. walk. But we prefer Chedraui. If we are not doing major shopping we will ride our bikes, otherwise we do grab a taxi.
The rent varies here. We have friends that rent for $600 US per month and we have friends that rent for $1100 US per month. We are in between that. The ones that have the $600 rate have been here for over 3 years. We rented long term (1 year) and were able to get a decent rate because of that. Newer people we have met are renting between $900 and $1100 currently. This is just in Palma Real. The season and the length of stay really do make a difference on the price.
Rent here varies based upon your situation and the owners. Right now it is anywhere from $800 - $1200 USD per month. It depends on location, length of stay, pets, etc. The best bet would to be to contact the property manager and see if you can work out a deal. In most cases, this does not include utilities or internet.
@@3suitcases2022 which property management company did you use if you don’t mind me asking? I’m interested in renting a place in Palma Real next year and your place looks nice!
We live here and pay 15,000 pesos a month (including maintenence fee), no utilities but they aren't expensive; water 150 pesos a month, electricity 750

There didn't seem to be many lounge beds by the pool. Do you have to bring your own?
Is the pool area shaded the entire time? It looks that way.

How far is it to the main beach? How do you suggest getting there? Do you need a car or scooter? Is public transportation available?

@@3suitcases2022 @Alan Bednarz We live in Palma Real, drivers now ask 70 pesos to the beach, 35 to Chedraui (supermarket)
Any property for sale and if so how much? Sorry it's hard too learn from the UK. Also are you allowed to walk dogs on leads/lesh in the public areas.

@@3suitcases2022 That would be fantastic as I could use any creditable information to help in making an informed decision. Thank you.

We were paying 16000 pesos but I know prices have gone up since then
Do the units all have upstairs patio? We will be going there in February
No. Most units have a backyard but not an upstairs patio like this one.
Hello

Price is all over the place. Depends on season and length of stay. Prices have gone up in the last year.
Are these available short term?
Some are yes.
