Finally! The need of human interactions was too much of a limitation to make copilot a game changer. This is definitely a game changer. Looking forward
Looks interesting Lisa thanks for sharing. It will be interesting to see what security controls are in place and how you can put in boundaries to prevent the agent doing something that is not desirable.
The thing about building an agent in Copilot Studio is that it starts with nothing and then you add the data and knowledge into it. Very different from ChatGPT or the main Copilot experiences as a starting point.
A big question I have is around the selection criteria of data. In your example, 'the scanning of previous orders or dialogue' can come from different tools out of the Microsoft suite. 1. can we point the workflow tiggers to access these tools? 2. if not, how can we ensure the agent are providing accurate recommendations in the output? I suspect utilising Azure as the middleware to push / pull all enterprise application data (from third party tools) would provide the most well rounded answer / recommendation. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Yes, you can connect to those data sources, that’s how it’s done. You can connect to enterprise knowledge sources outside the Microsoft platform and you can also use the over 1000 Power Platform connectors which also go well beyond Microsoft systems. And of course Azure is an option too.
Is this available now in CPS? I keep reading about and seeing a lot of information about this all but not been too successful in finding it in the platform and copilot studio.
Thanks for the video, I was waiting for your insights before searching anything on the topic. 😊 Having just finished automating tedious process using python+selenium and would gladly recreate it with agents, so I see first candidate. Note: ideally my task would be done by REST APIs but third party vendor only allows access to webUI and automating browser removed all the nonsensical discussions. Thus I see great potential for small businesses to automate work without buying an overpriced module doing the same.
This is certainly going to change a lot of opportunities for automation. We also have generative actions in Power Automate and the promotion builder which are ways of bringing in AI components without handing it entirely to an agent. The new Copilot recorder in desktop flows also has a lot of possibilities for small business use cases.
Is copilot now performing ok? We have been trying it for 6 months now and it was so much worse than ChatGPT teams or enterprise. Did Microsoft fixed it to be half as decent at processing instructions and providing responses?
Hi Lisa, Now that we have the idea of CoPilot applications with its Autonomous Agents (mini-me copilots or little copilots), would appreciate it if you could enlighten us with the potential use cases of CoPilot Vision and where this A.I user interface app is taking us ? Do you see CoPilot Vision practical viability leans more toward applications in the Entertainment & Creative Art sector (eg. Adobe, Weta Effects) or towards productivity improvement in the Industrial & Engineering sectors (eg. AutoDesk, Pro-Engineering, Meta, etc) ?
@@LisaCrosbie I ask Copilot to tell me what Automate could do that agents could not do. Really appears that copilot is protecting Microsoft's automate revenue stream and kept telling me there was a difference. Can you enlighten me why use Automate if Agents are going do everything that Automate does and more.
Hi Lisa, you sound really quite excited by this, although I understand it is still in development but coming soon as they say. Your reference video link (mentioned at 1:47) I don't find this 'stage version'. Maybe forgot something to put here? Or did your autonomous agent forgot something?
I think we have the email->right person, ok figured out. I think a very usefull idea, would in my work to validate the data I am getting from various sources. Is it about the same size, has the number of rows changed, max/min values and so on. That would be very helpfull in my dayli work.
This will be interesting to explore. You can use actions with Power Automate flows as part of your agent to retrieve or calculate those kinds of things.
SharePoint lists aren’t a knowledge source option for Copilot Studio agents but you can use actions and Power Automate flows to connect to the SharePoint lists to work with the data there.

It will be in preview from Ignite (mid November)

This is so cool. Standing by for Ignite.

It is way better than it was earlier in the year. It now has GPT4o LLM and Microsoft have done a lot of work to improve the performance.

Thanks for the Video! I'm so excited about the Update mid November....MS said that you can talk to the agent like to a new colleaugue.
More coming next week from Ignite (November 19), can’t wait!
@LisaCrosbie ignite is who? Never heard of that person :)
Excellent, thanks Lisa.
Thank you Lisa
Great summary, Lisa. I’m excited about our agentic future. 😎
Me too! 😎
Yeah, this sound quite revolutionary!!! Looking forward to when its finally available for us to play with. Thanks for sharing
Only a couple more weeks (watch out for Ignite and stay tuned here) - I can't wait!
@@LisaCrosbie Will do. Thanks

It will be available from Ignite (mid-November), it's not there yet. These are all screenshots from the Microsoft announcements
@@LisaCrosbie Ok, my misunderstanding.
Is there a way that I could go to a website like Zillow and get them to choose all the addresses?
I don’t think it would work well as a web scraping tool like that. The knowledge capability is usually to find the answer to a specific question.
"Are you scared? Happy?" - you nailed it! :D
Haha, yes, this stuff stirs up a lot of emotions, it's worth acknowledging that I think.
yes yes yes :D game changer 🤩
