    I put the Time into the Flow, not the Amplitude. That way the cloud doesn't fly apart over time. Great tutorial in any case, Thanks!

    Blender noob here addicted to "geo-nodes" and my 1st Houdini video. Great to see Blender doing this sort of thing(barely but gesturing in this direction). Great tut. makes me want to try this software

      Thank you! Snow tutorial sounds good, I imagine the setup would be similar to this workflow but using a popsim instead of procedural noise

    Quick question, on 10:16 you refer to a normal attribute that we set earlier, however, I can't find where we set it. What am I missing here?

      I also don't get the same results in the orientation. The vex code doesn't work for me, and I've copied letter by letter

    you can also add aaflownoise and loop the whole thing

    • @CarvalhoVFX
      @CarvalhoVFX  3 года назад

      absolutely! I opted for this method as I wanted to replicate what you might get from a popsim however looping with aaflownoise would look great also

    great tutorial thanks so much!:) i also tried using a curl noise for some variations and love the results. Any chance you could explain why you used the @up attribute when randomizing the rotation? I don't actually see a difference if I don't set the up attribute at all.

  • @quas67

    good work

  • @midphase

    Cool stuff, although personally I would use MOPs for a lot of the randomization and animation of the dust (the paid MOPs+ would also allow for collision physics to be applied). But it's good to know the "proper" way to do this. Same technique could be applied to an asteroid field too! Thank you.
