    Thank you very much for sharing all these great classes! I am really starting to understand how to do research now. I am trying to do a mediation analysis on SmartPLS with a quite simple model, however I can’t understand how to include my control variables. Could you please guide me on any resources which explained how to do it? Thanks so much in advance.

      Thanks. I am glad you liked it. To add control variables, you will first have to create dummy variables and then add them to your model.

    Thank you for the video. According to Baron and Kenny, if there is an insignificant relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable, the full mediation effect occurs, and if there is a decrease in the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable, the partial mediation effect occurs. it's called. My analysis revealed both a decreased relationship and a nonsignificant relationship. How should I interpret this situation?

      Full mediation if direct effect is insignificant and indirect is significant.

      Thank you for the response, so, in my one result of analysis, there is an insignificant relation and also there is a decrease in the relationship between the independent variable and dependent variable, can i report it as " full mediation"?

    Hi sir, I have this analysis and need your opinion
    Direct Effect: X -> Y B:-0.182 (negative), p=0.287 (insignificant)
    Total Indirect: X -> Y total indirect effect B:0.164, p=0.047 (significant)
    Specific Indirect:
    X -> M1 -> Y B:0.044, p=0.274 (insignificant)
    X -> M2 -> Y B:0.065, p=0.484 (insignificant)
    X -> M1 --> M2 -> Y B:0.055, p=0.202 (insignificant)
    Since the total indirect effect is significant and the direct effect is insignificant the conclusion should be FULL MEDIATION, however, there is no specific indirect path that significant. Opinion? Please note that the B of the direct effect is negative

      The combined indirect effect is significant. The individual indirect effect for each mediating variables are not significant.

    One suggestion, many times you wrote C (total effect) in mediating model when it should be C' (indirect effect).

      Positive or negative paths means the direction of relationship, whether or not the relationship between the variables is positive or negative.
      a*b means the indirect effect. You multiple the path coefficient (a) and path coefficient (b) to calculate the indirect effect.
