Intresting how simple Select Alert works compared to the JetSonic version, Code 3 decided to just have the bulbs rapidly flash on/off during rotation to only light the back part, Jetsoinc has a wall mirror in place seperating the front/rear rotators and you can turn front or rear only on to light only that part you want. Way more work went into the the JetSonic when they could have just did it the way Code 3 did 🤣.
Hello Sir, I have recently acquired one of these. It is the triple threat solid clear domes version. It appears that someone has altered the wiring. Do you have a wiring diagram for the triple threat version?
Don't forget the company PUBLIC SAFETY EQUIPMENT formed by two retired firemen. Gave and the industry, especially FEDERAL SIGNAL a real run for their money.
There are different trigger wires that activate different contact plates to the bulbs, so when the correct wire is applied, the bulbs only activate when they're facing the rear, because they are only getting power through the rear-facing contact plate.
Oh my gosh, 42 years old and it's got a cruise function
Interesting old lightbar!
They must have went through a ton of bulbs back in the day with this bar with all the on/off cycling they are doing.
That looks super cool. I want one like that lol
