Agreed - the D-Techs are novel and unique, but as you said, they spin too quickly for any real color definition. I do like what @elightbars did, with the variable speed motor and slowing it way down. This was back in the day when Code 3 was novel and innovative - things like the intersection/pursuit sweeps, tactical takedowns, the ArrowStik (I believe that was the first directional bar...)

Scrivo dalla Svizzera tutte le volte che vedo un video di pompieri Americani mi scandalizzo dalla lentezza dell’intervento e della incapacità dei vigili. Guardate i video dei pompieri Svizzeri , Italiani o della Germania, dopo circa 15/20’secondi che il camion dei pompieri si ferma sono già in grado di spegnere l’incendio. Ripeto al massimo 15 / 20 secondi anche meno arriva l’acqua. Veramente dei pompieri dilettanti allo sbaraglio. Nn sono solo io a scriverlo se leggete i commenti dei vostri connazionali mi date ragione. In compenso avete la Polizia migliore del mondo. Complimenti. Saluti dalla Svizzera. 👍💪

I get sad when I see a Tomar Heliobe. Early on in my collecting, about 10 years ago, I bought 4 or 5 different light bars from an auction across the country. They were able to individually ship me each of them, except for the single Helilobe because it was too big for the boxes they had. I think it was about 5 feet long. Unfortunately, I have never seen another one listed from the places I bought from since.😢

I would like to update a light bar with LED bulbs and a modern motor. They used to much power back in the day, but you definitely saw them.

That bar is at least 25 years old, and still one of the badassedst & brightest lights ever made, just hate the Jetsonic platform.. I wanted one then still love it. But have a freedom IV we can and bright enough just not as cool.

Better than the loose puzzle pieces with random colours car most other departments seem to use for autism awareness. This one is actually not hideous. And the colour is in proper sequence.

What size ac/dc converter are you using?

Never could figure out why the inner rotators are at a fast speed than the outers. Federal Signals was the same way with their Streethawks. I would much rather the faster rotators be on the outside and actually reversed them on my Streethawk to be more effective when clearing an intersection since I want more lighting.

Habia olvidado ese sonido que se escuchaba cada que pasaba una patrulla de policia ppr mi casa. Me trae tantos recuerdos de mi infancia, que pena que fueran reemplazadas por los focos led. Aunque también me gustan las de led, pero estas torretas giratorias me encantan mas, siempre me gustaron desde niño.

I remember the police department in my town used these light bars in the early to mid ‘80s. I noticed that the stingrays would sometimes stop oscillating but when they did work you could hear them operating while standing outside the unit. They were also loud inside.

i have seen one in person, these are insanely bright, the modern led ones are bright but these are much much brighter, but for such a short period of time, even so its absolutely blinding with all the strobes on the rythmic sound of the arc tubes is really interesting and somewhat relaxing
