    Good work, dude! I thought the mx7000 drew amps but dang! You would need a throttle control just to keep the amps up! When I was an officer in So. Cal., my first unit was a 1984-5 ford LTD with a civilian motor. Stopped a bunch of gangsters one afternoon and after about 10 minutes on the stop, the alternator couldn’t keep up with amp draw and almost killed the motor. After hearing relays clicking, I turned around and saw the lights were barely turning, the headlights weren’t flashing and so on. I rushed back to the car and turned off the lights just in time. Not the best place for my electrical to take a dump. Needless to say, I never used that car again. Ahh the memories.

    WOW! Now THAT is a freaking awesome lightbar! I love the triple rotators. There is no missing this light show, but man, that amp draw though.

    Beautifully awesome. LOL No sir I didn’t see your lights. 🤣
    And I thought the original Federal bar with dual rotators and mirrors was awesome. Code 3 should have sold a boat load of these.

    About 15 years ago I had the idea to put a rotator in the center of a StreetHawk lightbar's chrome speaker grille. I planned to cut out the grille and install a piece of lexan plastic glass, and then seal the chrome center section to the domes. I gave up on that idea.

    What brand is that light bar? It’s the absolute best I’ve ever seen. I love it, because it’s got 3 or 4 sealed beams, instead of traditional 2 beams.

      It's a code3 sd which had the two sealed beam holders. I had the parts on hand so I figured why not right... Center mounted are the code3 stingers.

    Q : What gauge wire do you use to run that light bar ? A : Welding cable ! Holy amps Batman !

    • @TempoDrift1480
      @TempoDrift1480 6 лет назад

      matt9c1 I would definitely have a parallel service on something like this. At least 12 gauge wire for each rotator and 14 for each motor. The ground however would definitely have to get a chassis if mounted on a vehicle or some sort of heavy braided ribbon or something. But yeah that's some serious draw. 36 amps in bulbs, and say 4 motors @3 amps each= 12. 48-50 amps is like 6 gauge wire. Dammner!

    • @TempoDrift1480
      @TempoDrift1480 6 лет назад

      42 amps in bulbs. I didn't see the two additional bulbs on the inboard rotators. I thought they were just duals in not triples.
