I first heard this playing on the boardwalk in Coney Island….People were dancing to it like crazy! I ran out and bought the album in Manhattan at a place called: “Downstairs Records”.

Disco era of mid-late 70s was certainly unique; I was in the military service for most of it, and the music naturally connects with that time, fondly. This tune sort of ties it all together, in spirit. Too bad it didn't come out a year or so later, it could have included more examples of the genre.

What a great classic. The short version was the most played so people think the long version is just parts being repeated, WRONG!! Back than all discs ran from 8:00 to 15:00, us DJs loved it especially on the radio when it gave us time to smoke one up lol. This is a very cleaver song, taking bits and pieces from other major hits. One of my all time favorites and a big smash in Boston back than and always great to hear because it just puts you in a great mood!!

The era was awesome. People would dress up, dance together and freestyle, have a great attitude towards each other, the sometimes dance lines too. Very social place to be at a real disco with great orchestrations in the music. Still have dico CDs at home.

There is some good music at the moment, but surely the 60, 70 and 80's were simply fantastic... and much better than the current music scene.
