- In the early hours of 12th January, in a combined operation, the US and UK stuck more than 12 military sites in Yemen.
The forces involved included F/A-18 Super Hornets flying from aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and Tomahawk missile strikes from US destroyers in the Red Sea.
Declared UK contribution was 4 Typhoon jets flying from RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus - a very long trip of several thousand miles - which required air-air refuelling support.
Using Paveway IV Laser Guided bombs to hit 2 targets - Bani in north-western Yemen and the airfield at Abbs. Intelligence has shown these facilities were used to launch both cruise missiles and drones at shipping in the Red Sea in the last few weeks.

Have we not learned anything over the Years 🤦♂️
Exactly, that's why action was taken and not delayed any further. These people were warned.
We know appeasement doesn't work. We also know that full scale invasion with no political end game doesn't work.
That still leaves a large range of options available, such as limited strikes like these.
Exactly. Vested interests are getting us involved in a situation that has nothing to do with us.
@@captainbuggernut9565global sea trade has nothing to do with us?
@@Orbital_Inclinationit has when its american ships
Anything to please the US, eh
This is on behalf of many countries who are impacted by the terrorists targeting commercial shipping. What part of that don't you understand.
We are involved, why? This is a religious war and that excludes the UK. Except of course a few people at the top including Shapps that are in a certain camp.
Attack of unrelated civilian shipping isn't religious war, it's a war crime.
@@Orbital_Inclinationdon’t forget the attempted attacks on a UK destroyer, obviously unsuccessful, not our fault these goat lovers are incompetent
The world's crying out for ww3 it seems we will never learn
It's what the powerful 0.001% want. And we do as they say every single time, always have done, always will do.
@stabilis8895 yeah don't wanna get on wrong side of them Take your life away click of a button
@@stabilis8895why would they want WWIII? What benefits would it grant?
The only western economy to significantly benefit from WWII was the USA, because they offered significant loans to other nations for years before actually bothering to join in the fighting, and got to watch from the sidelines as the major economic powers of the world devastated each other. They wouldn't have this luxury a second time round, because they would be involved from day one.
stop posting on meth
@@Orbital_Inclination You silly little boy. I could give you plenty of examples and you'd still disagree... You're brainwashed on the simple fact that you questioned it...
