Sooooo many rose vendors out there! And I have to say I got a great big kick out of watching your beautiful pup wandering around your great big property…he did exactly what I knew he was doing to do. Walk and walk and walk on the plentiful grass, only to curl up and lie down in the biggest pit of mud he could find. 😆😆😆🥰🥰🥰🥰
Their website is visually impressive. The purchasing process was stressful. I am too analytical to move quickly. Thought I was not in a customer friendly environment so I punted. Kim, I love the two bushes you chose. I am looking forward to seeing how they do in your garden.
Thanks for another unboxing. After the traumatic experience I have ordering online with Palatine, I learned to navigate Menagerie website before the sale; go directly to the main website, press Shop and then Bare Root Roses and the whole list was there. I ordered previously with them and was very happy with the roses. This year so many people are buying roses and I was ready to not get everything I wanted but I was able to get the 2 roses I wanted, Francis Meilland and Abbaye de Cluny plus the book without any issues after the sale open. In my case I wasn't concern of own or grafted root. I am expecting Sunset Celebration this Spring from Northland; I didn't know Queen of Elegance is related to KoKo Loko!! Now I wanted it that rose Kim.

Is it just me, or was that purchasing process exhausting? lol. I didn't purchase from them this year, glad I didn't because I feel like that purchase process was too much for the price of the roses. I'm glad they look super healthy!
I have learned the hard way to only bookmark the main page of any web store. URLs change, or the page will change but not show on refresh. I'm sorry you didn't get all of the roses you wanted. Menagerie does have a beautiful site, I like going there just to look at their photos. I don't like being stressed when I shop for things that make me happy, so I'll probably not even try stores that sell out fast or are only open for orders for short periods of time, or don't take PayPal. Thanks for sharing your full experiences and the pricing, shipping and payment information in the videos. That is extremely useful information and makes it much easier to know which places would be a better fit for different shopping preferences.
Hi Kim, Just wanted to know about the quality of bareroot roses from Raft Island Roses. I watched your unboxing last year. How are they doing in your garden? Please let me know.
They changed their" inventory" at least twice before the opening launch since your introduction in last November. I have been checking out, taking notes pretty much everyday and waited for the big day but I failed to purchase anything because the "own root" option. The day came and took me a few minutes to realize none of my desired roses came with own root. Took another moment for me to decide if I really care for "own root' or not... then I went back in again, maybe just 10 minutes after launching hour...the ones I wanted were all sold out :( Gee, that's crazy but better than the Palatine Rose launch day, I couldn't even get in line at all, LOL.
@@TheRoseGeek I see :O Unless they have specific roses I want, my rose quota is pretty much filled so far... I would spend that $1000 on fancy containers, LOL!
Website was very inviting at first until the day of the sale. Was dissapointed they didn't offer own-root as advertised. Agree they should take the option out if it is not available. Also not a fan of $1k club in order to be able pre-order. Just seems so out of touch. The whole experience made me feel meh. Hoping my bareroots look good because pretty pictures can only take them so far IMHO.
There is that Root thing again...are they using a Wire Brush? ...I would use a magnifying glass and look at the tissue up close...I have such bad eyes!
They currently have a Free Shipping discount if you buy $200 worth of merchandise. Are you happy enough with the roses you received and their performance that you’d be comfortable ordering $200 from them?
