Most school buses use plywood as the subfloor. I would have pulled off the plywood before installing the racks and put 2x8 oak down for the floor. Also if you had been patient enough to disassemble it piece by piece you could have used the body panels and the roof to enclose the horse compartment. Also you could have used some of the body panels to replace windows on the rv compartment. Plus you could have pulled the backlash and back tail lights to reuse either in your finish out or to sell to someone who might want them.
Broncs and Donks Express or Road Pony are fun names. This is so cool, I wanted to get a schoolie and convert it into a horse trailer but haven't seen anyone try it until now.
Because you ripped off my comment that I made a hour before then I said bronc donk and honk buy if your gonna take a comment please say who you took 8t from and get your own idea
Hope it works out. But have you considered the weight will be to far back when loaded with ponies and lose steering. And when you hit a bump they could be sent air born. Just my thoughts but I’d have put the rack right behind the cab and had storage near the back. Neat idea.
I'm also worried about that. Like to see a person ride in the back down a dirt road for a bit. Ultimate test of if a trailer is sound! Sneak a hooman on it!
Why did you have to take the roof back part of the bus Could you have remodeled the back door so that they could have come in to the back door without taking the roof off and there could have been a way to put each one of them in a slight stall and rope them down. That way they can put the windows down but it can also keep the cold off of them and the heat out of the outdoors The roof is tall enough on the bus that they wouldn't have been a problem You could keep the roof on!
First thing, wicked concept! But, thinking back to when I rode the school bus we loved to sit in the back. Because, when the bus hits one of Maines famous frost heaves we would go flying into the air. I just don't think your ponies will think it's as fun as we did.
hope the rear of the bus can take the weight of the horses , and that the horses are still willing to get in it after the first trip it mightve been eazier to make a wall in the middle of the bus take the windows and back out of the rearpart and ut bars in them and mount a wooden ramp that way the horses would be covered while there in there and the bus would be a little more sturdy
Love it. Just got back from a 3600 mile trip in our short bus schoolie taking us to 10k miles in a year. If I show this to the wife she is going to make me buy another one.
I would have raise the roof. By making the windows taller. Then the horses out of the weather. Put solar panels on that part of the roof. You want a divider between the horses and you on the bus. Put a door one side not in the middle this way you can have a place gear. so if you need to take care of horses with out leaving the inside of the bus. You want a luggage rack on your side of the roof this whole hay bales. You may want to use rubber mats under the horse. Now the inside of the bus. You want a inside and outside shower. Medium size refrigerator, stackable washer & dryer. saddle and gear. I would not put your bed in the back by the horses. I would put a shower, wash/dryer, potty, saddle rack. closet. Then coming forward put your bed. Leave a two foot at the end so you can walk around it. You want the bed to raise up for storage. If you do it right you could live in this full time.
This is what I was thinking about doing, definitely want to see finished product. Or converting a smaller bus and just haul a trailer. But full bus would be awesome.
This is epic guys I can’t wait to see it all done I think it’s amazing what u all have done I no it couldn’t happen without all of our support u guys r amazing:)
I wd have left the roof on, or reinstalled the metal panelled roof on top of the roof racks; beefed up the floor, and just left the lower original panels on the sides, installed the side metal racks as desired, that way the horses dont have the sun, rain etc beating down on their heads n backs, and their legs are protected from possible flying debris on the roads etc.
Busses are built like airplanes. Drill out the rivets. Move the back wall to the end of the RV part. Now chop off the frame behind the rear axle. Ad a gooseneck ball. Or 5th wheel of your choice. Then if you wish add trailer air brakes.
Probably should've spent the extra time to take it apart cleanly. That's a lot of wasted material you could've kept in a shed or whatever for whenever this starts rusting or gets damaged (since a lot of it is standardized stuff). When we took a bus to make it an off the grid power generator/sleeper for work in remote areas, that's what we did and it paid off later, 3 years later when an idiot smashed into the side with a van, crumpling the sides of the bus into a mess. We got to use that paneling and paid nothing but labor to have it fixed.
Since its 6:50 pm here in the Philippines I want to say Good Evening! I would like to ask if you have a western surplus saddle and if you have, how much would it be? thanks.
What a great find. But Wondering why you missed the perfect opportunity to just fortify the back of the bus into a nice semi closed in area with ability to carry the horses in the bus, decked out like a horse trailer. ( A lot less work. And less damage to the frame alignment.)Separating the human area from horses, but the horses would be protected from the elements? Looks like a cattle crate on the back. Which was a lot of work, no doubt. A waste of a great bus renovation opportunity.

Your a nerd dude
Is your bus? No.
Broncs and Donks Express or Road Pony are fun names. This is so cool, I wanted to get a schoolie and convert it into a horse trailer but haven't seen anyone try it until now.
"THE BRONC BUS" would be perfect lol
Thanks for upvoting my comment but please tag me next time
Good name for it 👍
Yes
@@anyabsentjarl6196 Why would I tag you?? Multiple people have suggested that name.
Because you ripped off my comment that I made a hour before then I said bronc donk and honk buy if your gonna take a comment please say who you took 8t from and get your own idea

wonderin this myself... i regards to the thoughts on weight, steering and bumps. Neat idea... pending that
@@rebeccarorie313 that's a good idea.
I was thinking the same..
@@rebeccarorie313 thats how i built mine. raised the roof, the side fold down into ramps.
Bronco Bus or something like that would be fitting! Seems like I'm gonna have to buy one of those hats now too lol
I think Bronc bus would be better than bronco?
@@poopyscoopy503 perhaps, I for some reason has always heard "bronco" instead of "bronc" so that's what my mind automatically goes to lol
That name sounds good too
The cowboy bus! And I love the bus I looks amazing!!😀
I was thinking Bronc carrier
First thing, wicked concept! But, thinking back to when I rode the school bus we loved to sit in the back. Because, when the bus hits one of Maines famous frost heaves we would go flying into the air. I just don't think your ponies will think it's as fun as we did.
The Bronks'n'Bus! :D it looks amazing, love to see great things being made with little and few ;)
I like that name!
That's got my vote too. But just bronk-n-bus
this one is so much better than the other comments. idk y you guys think the ''bROnCo bUS'' is a good name, its boring.
I think this one would suit perfectly. My favorite suggestion so far!
Need more update videos on this bus. GREAT WORK THO 🔥
I can't wait to see the finished product. 😩
omg thats beautiful great job guys you should be so proud awesome skills luv from oregon
Paint it teal buddy! mixed with a rich dark red for the base, love ya man started watching you the past year, so much content to love
That would be cool 😎
I have the perfect name for y'alls bus and the name dates back in Cowboy History. "The Pony Express."
Says 6k for the bus was expensive, throws 6k worth of pipe on the back for the cattle pot, solid flex there boys
How is the bus coming along? Give us an update. Make another video
That's pretty cool!
Would've been cooler if the cattle rack had direct access to the cabin.
yeah
He will fill it full of sheep then!!
I thought the same thing
The donk bus
Freaking awesome!!! I've been trying like hell to convince my fiance we need to do something like this. So far, no go. But I won't give up! Lol
Lol i wish u luck!!😄
This is a great build, I’d never thought of this 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
You’re perfect for your horses
And a perfect sleeping thing for when you go camping
Yessir keep up the good work
Couldn't you use the back gate as a drop down ramp? Great investment, and super cool idea.
The donky circuit or something like that I really love this bus it looks good can't wait to see more episodes on this
And make it a flatbed truck and hook up cattle trailer to it😂
hope the rear of the bus can take the weight of the horses , and that the horses are still willing to get in it after the first trip

@@Kerrdoggthey do
I think "TheBronXpress" would be the perfect name for your bus.
RESPECT for your work man, and keep it up🤙
The rodeo bus seems like a good name just guessing there's gonna be a lot of rodeos trying to loading your mules and horses.
Broncs and donks to the rescue..I just love your channel. Thanks for sharing with us
Love it. Just got back from a 3600 mile trip in our short bus schoolie taking us to 10k miles in a year. If I show this to the wife she is going to make me buy another one.
Boy can run away real fast 🤣 0:55
It should be the B and D Cattle-lac!
That's cool
I agree the bronc and donks cattle-lac

“Road Broncs” would be pretty epic name
THE BRONC AND DONKS BUS
This is what I was thinking about doing, definitely want to see finished product. Or converting a smaller bus and just haul a trailer. But full bus would be awesome.
That’s dope asf it’s better then a gooseneck trailer and a livestock it’s like it had a baby I love it 🤠🤠🔥🔥❤️❤️

THE BRONC BUS LETSSSS GOOOOOOOOOOO
The “MULE” because it carries stuff and you like mules.
Good idea
I like it.
Brilliant.
part 2 please. you should make the inside of the bus like an RV kinda.
Hope those bronks and donks are good jumpers to get up there! Second use could be picking up hitchhikers or hauling chickens! So fun.
Is this actually legal to drive?
I hope so 😅
Maybe not in the city
I see one here in Tennessee that they slide the back forward to store tools and they haul logs on the back.
With your content, if you made your vids longer and more often, you'd have millions of followers!!
The B.Donka Donk bus lmaooo Honestly I have no idea. But this will look cool when its done. It is now for sure.

Whiskey for my men, a bus for my horses.
We need an update video on this!!

This is so freaking awesome. Nice !
Where is Chad Alexander live in Spokane and I like your that was a good idea the by a bus next idea is by City bus next time
The burrito bus or the burrito express👍🏼😂
This is so cool we are doing something similar to a 1970’s pull behind rv.
Awesome idea 💡, now others with horses 🐎 want it too. 😀
Broncs donks and honks would be awesome
So what happened to the bus. Is there a follow up?

If it was me I would make the cage longer with enough space for a bed
Where’s part 2? If there is one, can you please send me the link of the video or tell me the video name
LOVE love ❤️ it.. THAT'S we need for VFASHIONS EVENTs
Good Job 👍👍

The country boy on the bus is probably perfect
Holy that one is funny😂
YEE HAW is what you should put on the side or bronks and donks? I wish i could purchase a hat lol
does that come through the tüv?
Good job boys. Since you’re in emery it might be worth your time to contact Logan Coach and ask for ideas. Pm if you have questions
How much did that cost
I want to be just like them when I grow up ❤ I love horses 🐴 ❤
How do you buy the hat but it doesn’t show it
Do you still have this and do you have an update video
Love your very original and practical “ horse trailer “ innovation
Congratulations, you guys Rock !!! 🐴🐴👍👍😍
That it’s an awesome build
The “Outlaw Donk” would be a great name for the bus
What drone do you use for filming?
wildin bronking bus haha idk i just thought somethin to do with the name of your channel would be fitting
Did you have to get any inspections for the modified chassis?
If I saw that during summer I’d just be like “get away!!” Or just any bus
Why did you cut the roof? Its protection from heat and rain
When are you guys going to go try and catch that mustang again?

I'd like to get one of those saddles you had up for sale. Are you going to sell them again or do you have a saddle maker you'd recommend?
That's what I would pick the Bronco cowboy bus 😊❤😊❤
Do you ever use it
Pretty cool ideal!! 🐴🐎🐴🐎
Horsin' Around seems fitting, or the Cowboy Caddy. Lol
That Look DOPE!! Id want to do this one day for sure! And i really like bronks'nbus or Bronco Bus!
Being from Wyoming, I love this so much!
I think you should put rollers then a ramp that you can pull out then set it down for the horses.
Came here looking for someone who is full time rving with horses. Now I’m here. The roads RUclips can take you.
“Broncs and Donks”. It will be perfect
Your Website to get a hat is down so I can’t get one
Are you guys going to Bishop mule days?
What the heck, bro that's awesome!!
is there a series for this?
Really the busses near me go for $30,000 and already may have a whole bunch of miles on it 🤣🤣
I think that the bus should be called “THE CATTLE MACHINES”
Broncs and Donks school of knowledge
L think u should add your favorite horse on the bus and add a horn on the top of the bus
Where’s it at now we wanna see it
What happen to your bus where it gone
150 years ago the horses would be pulling that wagon and now the wagon hauls the horses. I bet the horses dig that.
