I would say that in the final, Boy George penalized Cody, he didn't her the chance to express herself with her voice. We didn't hear her sing Imagine, only him, and she lost. It's only my opinion, of course, but I feel so. Thanks for the video.
I fully agree. While I liked it a lot, it was too much harmony for what a final should be. He should've let her showcase her abilities throughout it while also sprinkling in some hormones, in my opinion.

It was supposed to be about the contestant, not about the coach. He should have played his part and stayed behind the scenes, supporting and encouraging Cody, not upstaging her.

Listening to the Chain, it sounds muddy. She isn't clearly heard above the instruments. For those who don't know (and most probably don't) this isn't her fault at all. This is a problem with the mix. The instruments are occupying the same frequencies she is occupying, and they are occupying them loudly. There is someone behind the scenes here who is doing a very poor job on this performance, and it's not her!!
The beautiful thing I saw was she was so natural, so herself. Ill be looking for her music on all streaming services. A gem. From a 71 yo old guy who shouldnt get so excited by music. Ill also agree with @minihoney13 that George thought of himself in that duet. You've had your time mate let someone else shine.

No, coaches always sing a song with their finalist. She sounded great with him, as she held her notes longer.

I think her more modern songs are a better choice then the older tunes she's not relating to. I don't think she even knew who Cyndi Lauper was.
