Honestly one of the most underrated and overlooked watches ever. the quality you can get at that price is insane and unmathced.

Definitely, build quality on the A73380 is sensational.

You should definitely buy a pre-owned Breitling. I would always choose an official Grey Market dealer though, and the watch must and i mean must have all official boxes and papers. Swing ticket and service papers is a nice bonus.
I like what your doing with the Colt Chronograph. Its extremely underrated, the A73380, and a pre-owned, full set, near perfect condition with pro 2 bracelet, knocks a modern endurance pro to another dimension. When new they were sold in the Uk for £2900. Trade today, as you point out is for £1600. However, Watchfinder and Chrono24 tend to pick up some of the better models but you will need to pay nearly £2.5k for a full set. The days are gone for a cheap, mint A73380 on the professional 2 Bracelet. If you can get one for less than £2.5k good on you, but you will have gambled. Congratulations on your channel. Keep going with the older models, there are some proper collector classics out there.

    Pumping iron, wearing Breitling. That's a win-win.

Give me a year and I can probably pull off a 48mm Avenger 😂

Great! Do one on Navitimers, both the three hands and the chronos. And if we are talking about big watches, I think a Panerai “gander” would be welcomed :)

Will do, mate. Panerais are growing on me, but I don’t think I like the new ‘dressy’ approach for the new models.

What Kern is doing with Breitling, now, deserves special mention. The Schneider era peaked in 2009 with the b01 movement but sadly in execution, they spoiled the flagship Chronomat bezel....it went downhill from their. About a decade all told with limited direction. What Kern has done is remarkable. Genuinely, topping both Omega and Rolex now with some models. Try one on at an AD....you won't regret it!

I’ve had a colt for over 10 years. Never serviced it. Never had any problems. Still get comments about the dial whenever I wear it

Absolute tanks, mine is probably about the same time frame. Had a battery change and pressure test, still going strong.

Hi I own a few breitling s don't buy new they loose to much money and I seen some quality control issues with the very new model's with ceramic parts of the basil coming of.(On a £10000 watch breitling repaired and it happened again) But my favourite are the breitling Hercules a twenty year old watch but harder to find but a great watch thanks John.

I also prefer "older" Breitlings. It seems to me that the new owners of the brand focus more on marketing and reducing production (and possibly quality control) costs. In contrast, during the Schneider era, the emphasis was truly on the watches themselves, with some shortcomings in marketing.

I absolutely prefer older breitling, they have gone more mainstream with their designs. I understand why they have done it, but preferred the tanks they used to make.

They all look like they've taken a helluva beating : is that bezel not hard enough ?
That Colt Navitimer edition was a bit special
