Very cool. Thanks for the vid! I got Fat a few weeks ago and have barely gotten started. But... I did compare it to all my other saturation/distortion plugins and it really is unique. Its like the crunchiest chicken leg you'll ever eat. Delicious!
somehow i love all the kilohearts ecosystem but i can't get along with this faturator... sure it does get things more fat in a warm way in some situations... but there are soo many other tools that do it better ... when you crank up the drive an fuzz it gets too messy. on the other hand, the distortion units and non linear filters are outstanding. my opinion....
Hey, I totally get you - I honestly find myself that I rarely use the "fuzz" setting on high values, because it gets very sharp and brittle very quickly. Sometimes that's what's needed, but for me, and the kind of music I make, it's pretty rare. Have you tried lowering or removing fuzz completely, and then using the "color" parameter to find a mid-to-low frequency range to boost that sounds warm and rich? It's essentially a little EQ bump before the distortion, so if you keep it kind of low in its range you can boost somewhere around 100-200 hz and get a nice warmth. It can also be fun to use two or more very subtle Faturator instances in series, to build some compounding saturation effects. Less harsh that way, and can give much more dense effect. /George
non pitch corrected vocal in 2021, i fave it already. we need more of these vocals in pop again.
Ooo that little sweep on the color in that string-like pluck does sound really nice, I'll be trying that on some sounds, thanks.

Watching Will from GhostHack brought me to getting Faturator! Excited to kill it with this.
Fantastic news. Let us know how you get on!

Try stereo turbo on snare&clap. It makes the whole room shake
It’s my go to kick distorsion. Had no idea that it kept dynamics so that explains it.
Yes. Fab, right!?

Thank you for these helpful toutourials.
Glad you find them useful. More to come! ❤️

Should someone tell George that kilohearts has been at I believe 1.8.13 for at least a month? :)
Haha. Working at home right now, and don’t have all my gear and my home computer up to date just yet. You caught me 😂
