Tracy, You've made life a lot easier for me. I too have a Fauxbonichi but I will be using a lot of your ideas. Thanks so much for sharing. Looking forward to watching more of your journal videos.
+Crafty V Thank you so much :) so happy I have inspired you with my pages :) I have been so busy this summer getting ready and making projects for my daughter's wedding, I have been too busy to do videos. But hoping to get some up soon :)
Tracy, this is FANTASTIC!! I am stealing your ideas, I hope you don't mind. This is exactly what I've been debating.....there are so many ideas out there and nothing seemed to click with me for the exception of this....Thank you so much!! Keep the fauxbonichi videos coming, they are such an inspiration!!
Just heard about the Fauxbonichi this past week. I purchased my Miguel Lius journal and I'm ready to start! Love your spreads! Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring others!!!!
Tracy, thank you for sharing....I have started two planners already and I am totally not happy with them.....I LOVE your set up!! I am definitely going to do something similar. I hope you will do more of these video.....thanks, again!! ~Brenda
+TouchedByAngels2 Thank you so much Brenda, so happy that I have inspired you with my set up :) this summer has been all about preparing for my oldest daughters wedding, so I have been AWAL here on RUclips, but I do have some videos in the works :)
Love your videos!! I am new to journaling and planning and so grateful I found your channel! Thank you thank you for taking the time to do this wonderful tutorial xoxo
Hie! Nice work... and easy to make! I will make a book for my boyfried for his restaurant for the reservations... It's better to do by myself because I can choose the size of the square on every pages and add some informations like "Valentine's day" or Christmas... Thanks for sharing and kisses from Paris!
This is an awesome book Tracy! I love all the work you put into it - fabulous! I had not seen this sort of thing before, I think you have started a new craze, lol!!! TFS ~ Hugs, Gale The Happy Stamper :)
Thank you Gale :) I am not the only one doing this book, there are quite a few of us :) I have always kept a journal of some kind since my youth, but I like the header to this book and also a place to add a bit of art :)
2006dedra I have had this same set up for at least 4 months, lol….but I seem to always pass on my art block….so I may delete that for a month and see how I like it
Thanks for this! I modeled my new header after yours! I'm a free drawer so I can't have an art block.. But love how clean and crisp your pages look! Thanks!
Thank you Yukari, touched my heart that I inspired you with my header :) I know how great of an artist you are….I dabble, so I only needed a little space, teehee.
This is the book I use as well I love it when I get a rand new one soon I'm gonna try this maybe it will help want to journal everyday if I do the month ahead time like this thanks
+Jennifer Jimenez Thank you so much Jennifer…I use a few different stamp sets..I will do a short video on this soon, as i have had this question many times :)
Hey Tracy I'm new to your channel.. I'm loving these fauxbonichi journal/planners and going to make one.. so I been watching videos and researching... Anyways I was wondering how your luck has been with this type of book your using the Miguel , I heard another girl say if you use alot of scraps and stuff inside the bulk will rip the spine in these type of books? I really don't want just a composition book but so far that was the best option.
I have not had a problem with my Miguel books....but yes, I have heard of others having problems. It is because the spine is glued not stitched, so if you use watercolouring or anything liquid in the books, it can damage the spine. I prepare my spine....not sure if I have a video on this, but you take a few pages at a time and open your book fully with each section of pages...start at the front about 10 pages at a time and fold them flat and work to the back of the book, 10 or so pages at a time. I also don't stuff mine full, I do add some photos or ticket stubs, but I use it more of a journal with a bit of art, not a smash book...it is pretty bulky when it is done though....I also have 2 of my pages adhered together with washi tape, so I actually only use 1/2 of my pages. I have heard good things about the journal from Michael's the "artists Loft"
I have watched your channel forever and I wanted to use the same journal but I was wondering how this journal holds up over time? I know this journal has a glued binding so I was wondering if it would fall apart before I get all the way through it.
+MinionLover 😍 Sure…I double them as I don't like bleed through from my markers or pens. This way I don't have to worry about it. I can also use my Copics or other markers and just put a blotter in between the pages and not worry about it going through 3 or 4 pages….plus the washi tape looks so pretty :)
Thank you so much Bobbie :) I was worried that this video was going to be to choppy. I was just going to do the first 2 pages, but ended up completing my whole month during the filming, lol.
I hope this! with nice washi tape and some little decorations for indian restaurant, I think it will be very nice... I hope you shape other goods ideas... Babaye!
Hi Tracy--I got a Ruis for Christmas and have washied all the pages together for January--how did you keep the two pages from buckling-? any tips?? thnx so much Julierose
+Julie Holleran Hi Julierose :) If you look at the beginning of the video where I show how I do it....Once the washi is on the one page, I take the second page and place it flat against the page with the washi tape. then I start from the middle of the page to fold over the washi to the next page
Lesa P Yes I do Lesa ruclips.net/video/mTto0uzUev8I/видео.htmlf you check out my playlists on my channels..under planners & Journals will have videos on my fauxbonichi
Oh Tracy I love it! I have been watching you do your journal since you started and I think it's totally awesome! You made it so much easier for us newbies on Fauxbonichi. Thank you! Psst: What did you think of the last episode of W.D? LOL! hugz
Thank you so much. I am really enjoying working in this book :) As for the last episode…do you have a few hours, lol. I was so worried that someone from the group was going to bite the dust, lol. I am so sad that we have to wait sooooo long for the new season to start….but I will be enjoying watching from the beginning on DVD, lol How are you feeling about the spin off…I am actually excited for that to start up.
Not sure if anyone cares but if you guys are stoned like me atm you can stream pretty much all of the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last couple of days :)
hey tracy=)).. what kind of stamps do you use for your #days of the week and also the names of the week=)-- ive been searching high and low for some like yours=)))
I didn't post them as I was thinking of using what you had on hand to make the spaces. For my days of the week I use Hero Arts "Days and Month 4x6 clear" stamps. I don't care for the text as it looks kind of western to me, lol. For my #'s for the days I use 7 Gypsies "Collections from the journey" I'm not sure if that is the actual name of the stamp set as I can't find a name on the package. But there are 3 different sets of numbers in this set as well as some words.
Sorry it took me so long to reply to my messages, they got lost in the shuffle. I adhere 2 pages together with my washi tape for a couple of reasons...it looks pretty and I have a lot of washi tape. and the second reason, putting 2 pages together helps with any bleed through from my markers (except Copics) I don't like to have to worry which pens or markers are going to bleed through the papers so I put 2 sheets together so I don't have to think about it :)
