I used to go and hear Ben Perowsky play with Mike Stern in Montreal at this little place called L'air du temps back in the early 90's. He was great then and still plays like a monster now.
Heard Ornette Prime Time twice, entranced with his music. So good to hear people playing Ornette’s tunes again. We had a long run of not covering ‘modern’ jazz but I’m waiting to hear what will come of exploring this music. Sublime drumming, thankX.
wow I never heard Rogers sound so much like metheny, right down to the phrasing and some of the note choices too Colley and Perowsky are killin it though
Please do not waste your time and money to doing lessons with A. Rogers. He does not have a clue about how to teach and how to communicate a well structured lesson . Please make your research first it's lots of players in NYC are unfortunately in the same situation hopeless about how to teach. Please be intelligent and wise while choosing your teacher. "I will give him 3 out of 10 how to teach "he is a terrible
Pretty shameful that you would post this kind of criticism, unsolicited and completely inappropriate incidentally, and not identify yourself by name. Hiding behind your smug, overly thought out "handle", making these kind of comments in this type of forum is utterly pathetic. Identify yourself by name. Own it.
Grandissimi ❤❤❤
The drumming is as good as it gets. So nice to hear.

and a very rare appearance by Mr. Perowsky playing traditional grip at around 0.35 in! Sounds killing!
Anyone else notice the gigantic pause button to the left of Mr. Scott Colley?
It's there in case he needs the bathroom.
Fantastic trio!
Man, this is so killin'! 👏👏🔥🔥
