I have watched movies screening with single projector with 6 times break. When double projectors started with single interval it was a wonder. Old days are golden days. We can't forget cinema projectors, steam engines with manual signals, cycle rickshaws, horse jatkas, school bell, etc. Thanks for the video.

My profession was making repairning 16 mm and 35 mm cinema sound projectio machines for the last 46 years.after 2000 i have no work so, bound to change my profession like other millIons people's.
So sad to hear, because of new technology we lost the old and golden cenima machines, I love the past because in those days friends were gathering for going to watch a movie but nowadays every where just only loneliness 😑

प्रोजेक्टर रुम मंदिर के समान होता था। मशीन सुंदर और जीवंतता से भरपूर होती थीं। अनेक थियेटरों में प्रोजेक्शन रुम सड़क के किनारे होते थे। और बाहर लोग घंटों मशीनों को निहारते व फिल्म के साउंड ट्रैक को सुनते हुए खड़े रहते थे।
बहुत सुंदर भाव हैं, सोनी जी..हाँ, प्रोजेक्शन रूम में काम करने वाले उसे मंदिर की तरह ही मानते थे. इलाहाबाद के पैलेस सिनेमाघर का प्रोजेक्शन रूम सड़क की ओर खुलता था और देर रात उधर से गुज़रते हुए कार्बन आर्क की चमक साफ़ दिखाई देती थी. क्या आपका कोई नाता रहा है, प्रोजेक्शन रूम से?
मैं भी प्रयागराज (इलाहाबाद) का वासी हु। मैंने भी पुराने पैलेस (1990 to till closed) को देखा है। गर्मी के दिनों में प्रोजेक्टर रूम की खिड़की पीछे की तरफ खोल दिया जाता था। जब शाम को सिविल लाइन जाते और पैलेस के सामने से गुजरने पर प्रोजेक्टर की बैक लैम्प लाइट दिखाई पड़ती थी और एक व्यक्ति रील को हाथ से रिवर्स करता हुआ सड़क से ही दिखाई पड़ता था। फिर हम दोस्तों में कहते इनके पास कोई मोटर नही है रील रिवर्स करने के लिये हाथ से ही काम लेते है। फिर 2011 में नया पैलेस बन गया। किसी PVR, मल्टीप्लेक्स के सिनेमाहॉल की तरह । पर सिर्फ सिंगल स्क्रीन का। उसमे भी मैंने फ़िल्म मद्रास कैफ़े देखी थी एक बार।

It is as dreary a job as that of the fireman in a steam loco. Only the most stolid person will do these jobs. Loneliness in projection room is depressing.
Bank where I worked for long years has been merged with another Bank. I feel that my identity and love has vanished into thin air! There are so many things more precious than money. Makes me choke when I think of it. I feel that 'I don't belong' when I do visit the branch. No words to express my feelings. I can relate to the feelings of these theatre people. Be well Brothers.
i loved the film projector and its sound, a lot since my childhood ,i tried to make a prototype my own then but never succeed, But today, i can realize that its a highly mechanical device which consumes lot of power load
it is still an event. what are you talking about? nothing has really changed. digital projectors also need full attention. heat, servers, power etc etc. in fact the projection rooms are cleaner than the stink like back in the days. in fact it is bigger event as movies technology has gone crazy and nothing is cheap out there.

...😊...i was lucky to see this projection work at teenage of 14 yrs, when i was very curious of exactly how the film is being screened on huge 70 mm screen...n so i frequently visited old projection(reel systems) rooms n it was exciting n memorable exp,.till date....thanks...dear bhikhubhai, george uncle, shakilbhai n others(projector operators) for explaining the actual working of the same...👏....👍....

I still remember those memorable moments of more than half an hour ,when they( the operators I mentioned) actually operated those(2) projectors n loaded the heavy weights prints n at regular time they exchange projectors within a blink of eye helped by their juniors n adjust also carbon strip levels n other technical matters including sound(stereo) n now Dolby atmos....it was excitement n thirill moments to remember even after more than 3 decades...being crazy big b fans...i was more curious to watch him from projection room how audience went wild with whistles n applaudes n more.... 👏...thanks... 👍...

I knew this projector in 1970's in my villiage north sumatra.when the other wacth the screen i always watch how to work this equiptmen and some time the man who operate ask me stay away bcause heat from projector..
i really like reel projecter, it's sound silently hearing rotating sound as ' chit chitachit chitachita ", when i got bore in some part of movie i was turned my head and looked at upside of projecter room, me and my friends so much enjoyed at my child hood and early 2000 year. I used to make a toy that make hand packet size box with used magnifying lenses, also I used to buy somany reel films and put these films one by one at the place of box's hole (rectangular shape), when we see in to the eye piece, the reel looks big size image like cinema screen and also these toys are selling on that era. It was really wonderful and god gift life of that era, But now the life is going with polluted air and getting new types of diseases, the technology is growing up with the name of 'development' hiding with of poisonous .

Now the above cinema is converted to Digital.. In Amritsar Krishna Cinema is still running 35mm FIlms..Recently (May 2019) watched HAATIMTAI of Jeetendra..
Now I'm 51 years old. And water is coming out from my eyes to see it. I never forget the Golden life.

My dad was a projectionist never needed 2 people to run the projectors he did the change overs him self even 70mm prints .
I salute his passion. It was more than a job for people who loved it.
When Palo Alto's Stanford Theater ran nitrate prints, they had a 2nd projectionist, apparently required by an ordinance of some sort.

Bueno yo alguna vez tube un proyector. 35 mm ruso. Exelente. Maquina. Que nostalgia era el cine 35mm. Ahora ya no tengo. Solo me queda la nostalgia y el recuerdo. Tube otros cronitos. Que tambien yo arme. En esos años. La verdad que toda mi vida se la dedique al cine. Tube un pequeño cine de barrio. Y después pasaba Cine en los colegios. Cine. Educativo y asi hasta el dia de hoy pero no tengo ya esas proyectores. Ahora solo cuento con los Datas. Que no es lo mismo. Tengo varios. Modelos pero. Llas proyectoras 16mm. Que tube super 8 sonoras. Pero. Me tube que deshacer de todas por motivos. Económicos. Pero. Aun me queda la nostalgia. Amigos del Cine. Un saludo especial si quedan. Personitas. Que les guste el. I knew this projector in 1970's in my villiage north sumatra.when the other wacth the screen i always watch how to work this equiptmen and some time the man who operate ask me stay away bcause heat from projector..
I used to work on these kind of machines. I really miss them. Automatic? ugh!

i really like reel projecter, it's sound silently hearing rotating sound as ' chit chitachit chitachita ", when i got bore in some part of movie i was turned my head and looked at upside of projecter room, me and my friends so much enjoyed at my child hood and early 2000 year. I used to make a toy that make hand packet size box with used magnifying lenses, also I used to buy somany reel films and put these films one by one at the place of box's hole (rectangular shape), when we see in to the eye piece, the reel looks big size image like cinema screen and also these toys are selling on that era. It was really wonderful and god gift life of that era,
But now the life is going with polluted air and getting new types of diseases, the technology is growing up with the name of 'development' hiding with of poisonous .
I own a 35 mm film projector ,I need some film reels .Where from I can buy?

Alas..It is converted to Digitial..In Amritsar Krishna Cinema using these Old projectors and a few may be in Saharanpur.

उसमें जो फ़िल्म संगीत सुनाई दे रहा था, उस पर फ़िल्म वालों ने कॉपीराइट का दावा कर दिया था. मजबूरी में कुछ हिस्सा हटाना पड़ा.

इसे देख सकते हैं..यह मेरठ का थिएटर है.. कोविड का दौर शुरू होने के पहले तक यहां फ़िल्म प्रोजेक्टर का ही इस्तेमाल होता था.. ताज़ा हाल से वाक़िफ नहीं हूं.

Now the above cinema is converted to Digital.. In Amritsar Krishna Cinema is still running 35mm FIlms..Recently (May 2019) watched HAATIMTAI of Jeetendra..

Cinema attracts the people but very few people actually know the projection system,can not be use word Film if movies played by digital projector
