    Great video man, for the dinning scene I feel like shooting a light through through the window with some sheares would work better as you'll have a more accurate fall off but yes you will have to use a 500-600 watt type of light but it would look more natural and give you a bigger softer source
    Also the good thing about the harsh ones it works well on bringing light into a room if it's a bright sunny day and maybe you ran out of strong light , with the hard ones you can just angle the light into the room which is nice

    thanks for your insights and sharing your workflow with us. im using the CRLS on a regular basis for over two years now. you slowly get a feeling whats the right tool for the right situation, these reflectors are not a "all in one" solution instead using a regular ultrabounce, softbox whatever. but using them additional to other big sources, gives a certain quality in light. i also use the small nanlite projector mount. love this small footprint of light & projector. i highly recomment the forza 150D - just a little bigger than the 60, but more than double the output.

      @@noBfilm thanks for that big comment. Yeah I've been finding the right applications for these. As you mentioned it's not all in one, but I find so many uses for them. And I agree 60w isn't often enough, but with the 19° it's definitely punchy. My next light is 300w and so I find myself using it less bc of us size. I seem to get the most use from them with larger units like the 720b, or the smaller ones like the 60c. 150 seems like a good middle ground.

    • @noBfilm
      @noBfilm Месяц назад +1

      @@Cinegavo 300W and above will not work with the mini-bowens projector - regular projector lens alone is the size of two 300W lights and its heavy , so you need a bigger tripod to support 300W + projector lens. and all the hussle for just 1 f-stop more of light. think twice about that! that's so fantastic with the mini projector. but if size is no problem, bigger = better , specially when simulating the sun.

    i've had my CRLS lightbridge kit for over 2 years and your video was awesome to see ! The more you use it, the more it clicks and you also realize it's not the tool for every job, but every time you use it, you will love it !
    I only have theirs starter kit (4x 15cm and 2x 25cm) and I agree with you, the softest one is the one i use it the least because most of the times, it's still a small source, so you are better using other type of bounce, like any fabric or even a polyboard/Styrofoam.
    I really want to get the 50cm ones because i think they can be much more useful, but yeah, they are kinda expensive, which is a bummer, especially living in Brasil and it's impossible and pretty expensive to buy, The 4 light kit of the 50cm from lightbridge, costs 20k (i'm not even kidding)
    Also, i use it a lot with aputure fixtures and the amaran SE spotlight, paired with the 19º is pretty good ! I'm mainly using with the 300c and 200xs and the results have been great, highly recommend !
    One thing to notice, which can be either a pro or a con, it's that when using any mirror system with haze or fog, you will have to watch out where to put the light so it doesn't affect the scene because it will give a different light ambience depending on where the main light is coming from.

    • @Cinegavo
      @Cinegavo  Месяц назад

      @@bbrunorocha Yeah I agree with the haze, it will reveal the path of thr light lol. and thanks. I now have the 50cm size kit too.. Depending on your subjects size it's handy but I still use the 25cm more.... But the #3 50cm is soft enough for certain tighter shots.
      Also yeah I have the 19° barrel too , great combo. Nanlite has a 10° beam as well which is great for the reflectors IMO.

    • @Cinegavo
      @Cinegavo  13 дней назад

      @@mikoajdabrowski4538 I prefer a spotlight with blades so I can be precise. That was only the reflector is in play, and not anything behind it with stray light. But it can totally with a fresnel. I use both because I only have the small spotlight for my forza 60, but no spotlight for any other of my lamps, only fresnels. In that case you just spot it up, box up rhe doors and try to minimize spill, unless you're doing something else... like throwing the reflector into the mix of bounced light then a fresnel if preferable to a spotlight iny opinion

      @@Cinegavo Well, it's nice to have videos with epic troll product shots and slow and everything, but sometime you want just practical usage and another way doing things. I have my eyes on the complete godox lite flow kit for use on interviews (interior and exterior) as well as product videos. I need a projector for my cob. Just not sure of the lens I should get. Seeing your video, 36 seems good. but for for use with the lite flow panels, I might get more effective output from the 19. I should maybe get both... 💸💸

    • @Cinegavo
      @Cinegavo  3 месяца назад +1

      thank you@@nzdrk and yeah I'd like the whole kit. a lot of the work I do is tabletop food so I can see the smaller ones coming in handy. And as far as the protection mod, i think it's a great pairing for the reflectors but you don't need it. I spent maybe a year or so using fresnels on my lights and spotting them into my homemade reflectors before I had the godox kit or any projection mods. and it gives a really similar result. or even catching some light for my soft source like a panel , or your key or something, and then just redirecting it like an additional source . and as far as the 19 vs 36 goes... the 36 is wider and your get that larger beam in a smaller room, but the 19 is more intense/ output. and with these reflectors I often find that I'm cutting down a lot of the beam anyway so I think in 19 would be more practical in this case. but of course the 36 works. and that's just dependent on the fixture too

    • @Cinegavo
      @Cinegavo  3 месяца назад +2

      in fact, do you have a 60c? or any fixture I have? (60c, 300c, 500, 720b, amaran 60xs... my chip lights) I can give you readings with modifiers and bare bulb for the reflected light coming off the Liteflow reflectors if you wanted to know in terms of FC / lux or something
