- Covered by me. I used George Winston Piano Solos published by Hal Leonard as a reference . The score is a little bit difficult for me to play (Especially left hand arpeggio). I arranged the left hand part. Subtitles are written in Japanese in the video.
Translation:
Thanks for watching! Walking in the Air is the song for the anime in 1982. The original published in 1978 "The Snowman (Raymond Briggs)" as book. It was written by Howard Blake. Now, the song is covered by many famous musicians such as Nightwish, Celtic Woman. It is the typical song in Christmas season.

A very emotional piece from a very amazing movie from my childhood that brings a lot of nostalgia for me. I maybe be 33 years old but this musical number and the movie it came from helped shape my formative years as well as other movies like it.
I know right I was six years old when this masterpiece was made and listening back I think about the magic of Christmas as a child and I cry my eyes out for all the wonderful memories my parents (who are now gone) gave me and it makes me feel so thankful I got to live in the 80s and experience the Innocence of the times and oh my goodness have times changed peace and blessings 🙏🙏🙏

I remember this from when I was a kid. This played in the credits, just after he ran out into the snow, only to find the one who had shown him such a magical world had gone, and he knew it wasn't a dream because he had the scarf in his pocket still, then he knelt down and this music played
I watched this film all the time as a kid, especially around Christmas time. a few months ago, I found the film again on youtube, and it struck me as sort of saddening, because I would remember being so excited as I watched the VCR rewind, listening to the machine because I knew how much I would enjoy getting to watch the film again. seeing it on RUclips kind of killed that memory. after viewing the film online for the first time in years, watching the end almost brought me to tears because it was such a well-thought out ploy to connect the viewer with the character. and the childhood memories of watching this everyday in the 20 day countdown to Christmas were really enhanced getting to watch it again, now that I'm 17 years old. it is definitely a piece of art, and holds a special place in my memory.
There is something so thrilling about this mellody. It's one of my most favorites. Thank you for sharing. 💗

Song reminds me of my mom and her attempted hindrance of all of the evil afflicted upon my life. She’s pure, at heart, she used to play this on the piano all the time around Christmas in Glocester, ri, both on the stereo and on the piano herself. Reminds me of simpler times.
