BEAUTIFUL. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. I fell in love with the movie "The Snowman" as a young adult. I watch it now in my later years with my 4 grandchildren.
People were so much better off when nothing was electronic. We have been driven to madness by too many modern inventions. Humans were not meant to live the way we do, at such a speed with too much to juggle and over the top non-stop stress. We become ill both mentally and physically from too much. This music recalibrates our nervous system and allows us to slow down, be at peace, and sleep. As it should be. Thank you for this gift.
@@RyanMarvel mine is the latest to discover your brilliant interpretation, flawless fretboard work ....why is it the best musicians are some of the least known??? Know this I will play this piece for friends.keep playing....God bless.
@@RyanMarvel thanks for taking time ,for most people just move on,but I will check out some of you other interpretation's..this should be fun.again God bless no need to text back as you have shown humanity still exists in words and shewing ( demonstration it in the international word for love: beautiful music)...by for now.... sincerely Phil from Sarasota.
Made me cry as I am alone so long lost beautiful people gone now my childhood memories with this piano my soul in this so beautiful thank you for playing so deep within ur heart
Beautiful song, beautifully played. I had a favorite video of the song. And it is nice. But this version seems more layered. More feeling. I like it! Thank you.
I grew up with watching the snowman especially around Christmas time thanks to my mamgu. All of us grandchildren loved the movie and music. She passed a few weeks ago now trying to learn this on her piano for her… so tricky!! Love this video so much, such a beautiful version ❤
I loved this music the first time I heard it as a young mother while watching The Snowman with my children. It has stood the test of time and I am grateful you posted your beautiful rendition.
@@RyanMarvel Why does yours start with those beautiful chords unlike the original which has arpeggios or just individual notes--did you create that new opening yourself for this arrangement--if so how did you come up with it?? Thanks for sharing.
@@leif1075 thank you for the question. Yes, the beginning intro I wrote, wanting to create silent footsteps in the air. The middle section, where you hear these came chords descending, but now broken, is also an original part of the arrangement. Just wanted to stretch the main melody a bit. Playing this live in about 40 mins, (with several other pieces) just in case you are interested in watching. Thanks for the question! 😊 🙏
You get all the harmony just right! I don't like the rhythm at first (just personal opinion) but later on you more than make up for it with the improvisation. Brilliant!
Thank you for taking the time to send me your thoughts. My take is that the intro represents the gentle footsteps of 'walking in the air' before the main theme starts. And since it's a pretty repetitive theme, I think delaying it brings a bit of mystery before jumping right in. Just my personal opinion, but I appreciate your feedback.
@@jasonsubhan8479 thank you for listening, appreciate your feedback. It certainly is more relaxed in tempo than the original sung version, for sure... Mostly so it can breathe and allow for the syncopated LH and the busy middle section
A beautiful arrangement, the best version I've heard, thank you.
Goodness, thank you so much 🙏

Thank you so much for this reflection... Agreed, it is good to slow down and just be as much as we can. Thank you for listening 🙏

With respect, a lot of delicate dancing around the main theme instead of getting to the point with not quite as much fuss. Always a nice tune though.
